Forty Millenniums of Cultivation

After ten thousand years of development, with the nourishment of abundant spiritual energy, the Primeval Lord of Heaven had a small yet capable fleet of spiritual energy miners. They even boasted several warships that boasted tremendous attack and defense ability. The Void Hunters trusted them enough to move away from the waving tentacles of the Void Hunters. They had even grasped the technology of space jumps by studying the neurons of the Void Hunters.

The Primeval Lord of Heaven had made preparations in advance. Most of his compatriots had armed themselves with crystal suits and spiritual shields. Their starships had also been modified and moved far away from the Void Hunters.

The destruction of the Void Hunters had destroyed about 10% of the Primeval Lord of Heaven’s strength, but it had brought new hope, too. After the explosion, three enormous broken limbs were revived, and under the care of the Primeval Lord of Heaven, they gradually grew into the new generation of Void Hunters. Different from the old ones, they did not encounter the ‘little bugs’ such as the Primeval Lord of Heaven in their prime years. Instead, they were entangled with the Primeval Lord of Heaven the moment they were born and took the existence and care of the Primeval Lord of Heaven for granted. They did not know the ambitions and threats of the Primeval Lord of Heaven at all.

Just like that, the Primeval Civilization, which used to live on one Void Hunter, had three more obedient ‘mounts’ whose capability had tripled. They even tamed the Void Hunters slowly and stimulated their growth with technology and industry, turning the ignorant animals into terrifying man-made monsters.

Just like that, the Primeval Lord of Heaven completed the transformation from a parasite to a dominator and took the first step to conquer the universe!

A similar rise was taking place at the same time in countless natural paradises and worlds in the center of the universe.

The Void Hunters were never-ending travelers in the sea of stars. Over the past ten thousand years, the Void Hunter who had been living on the body of the Primeval Lord of Heaven had travelled through countless natural paradises and dealt with thousands of alien species and even the low-level civilizations. However, he had spread the Primeval Lord of Heaven to every corner of the sea of stars.

Most of the alien species in space were similar to the Void Hunters. They boasted unparalleled combat ability and unbelievable techniques, but they did not have extraordinary wisdom or ambitions. Their IQ could not have been higher than that of a seven-year-old child. Their treatment of the Primeval Lord of Heaven was more like “a child who found a new toy and could not wait to show it off and share it with his companions”.

The Void Hunters left the ships of the Origin Clan in various natural paradises in exchange for other precious resources or rare gadgets before they left in satisfaction.

The primitive demons that had been stranded in the natural paradises were like their compatriots who were still living on the bodies of the Void Hunters. They lurked, hid their ambitions, and struggled to survive.

They were faced with all kinds of creatures as strong as gods and devils and as weird as nightmares. One moment of carelessness, and they would be crushed and swallowed by the enemy, who did not even mean them any harm. It was like they were merely yawning when they crushed an ant.

They had to rack their brains and try their best to please the dominators of the paradises so that they could show the value of their existence. Only in such a way could they live on and endure the inhuman pain!

On a planet whose atmosphere was extremely thin and full of hard rocks, a foreign species named ‘Mountain Giant Crab’ lived in space. Such creatures boasted shells as hard as iron and a sense of time that was close to stagnation. They could absorb the metal elements and the geothermal energy in the mother lodes directly and be self-sufficient in such a way. Their enormous size and too-hard shells made them the strongest existences in the sea of stars. Even the Void Hunters could not digest their exoskeletons. Therefore, there was no need for them to develop wisdom and civilization.

They had no ill intentions toward the Primeval Lord of Heaven. It was even difficult for them to understand the concept of ‘slaughter’. But they loved to flip their bodies and create earthshaking quakes. Every time the quakes took place, countless Primeval Lords living on their bodies would fall into the abyss and be squeezed to death by the gaps between their shells.

In the long symbiotic relationship, the Primeval Lord of Heaven had learned how to clean the ‘Mountain Crab’s’ breathing holes that had been blocked by the creep. He had also learned how to carve glamorous patterns on the surface of their shells to please the dull and stupid beasts. After he discovered that the Mountain Crab was particularly sensitive to sound, a special profession named ‘Singer’ even appeared. Just like the ‘Dream Maker’ on the Void Hunters, it was designed to calm and anesthetize the souls of the giant gods, if the giant gods really had souls.

For survival, such compromises and grievances were just the minimum.

In other natural paradises, the carbon-based intelligent creatures did not take the form of animals but plants. The Primeval Lords who accidentally ended up there even had to let the roots of the plants grow into their bodies and meld with their veins and internal organs, turning themselves into the ‘vehicles’ of the dominators!

Just like that, in countless natural paradises, the Primeval Lord of Heaven entertained the rulers who seemed to be deities in countless humiliating and painful ways.

Generally speaking, the dominators were very satisfied with the performance of the ‘little bugs’ that the Void Hunters brought. They did not realize that there was anything wrong with the exponential growth and expansion of the Primeval Lord of Heaven. They thought that the Primeval Lord of Heaven was a very interesting and docile creature and that there was nothing wrong with it except that it liked to play with metal gadgets.

Only some low-level civilizations were vaguely aware of the danger of the Primeval Clan.

They were the carbon-based intelligent life forms that were relatively weak and could not survive on their own. They had to get involved with their own kind and develop social relationships or even civilizations.

They looked very similar to the ‘demons’ in human beings’ eyes.

As a low-level civilization, the wise ones among them could vaguely sense the potential and threat of the ‘high-level civilization’ that was the Primeval Clan.

Although the Primeval Beings that the Void Hunters brought to them were merely haggard, shivering, and funny-looking hairless monkeys, the wise men of the low-level civilization could still see the burning flames deep inside the eyes of the ‘brow monkey’.

The wise men of the low-level civilizations were spreading the news and shouting, asking people to be wary of the arrival of the devils and to make predictions such as ‘the gate of endless hell has been opened, and the devils from the blue planet are about to arrive and destroy the universe’.

It was a pity that, in the primeval era when the universe was just divided, the intelligent creatures living in the center of the universe were far from monolithic. The life forms that grew freely under the abundant spiritual energy naturally lacked channels of communication. The low-level civilizations with weak individuals and the super-large spiritual beasts with strong individuals were even more vigilant and hostile than trusting and friendly.

For the Primeval Lord of Heaven, the Void Hunters were ‘universe species’. For the low-level civilizations, the Void Hunters were also ‘universe species’. At best, they were relatively familiar with each other and only appeared occasionally.

What was even worse was that, in the middle of the low-level civilizations, the ‘stronger are always stronger, and the weak are always weaker’ phenomenon caused by the spiritual energy had intensified the social conflicts and stifled the development of technology and systems, making them unable to move forward anymore. They were suspicious and wary of each other, and they were caught in the endless war of ‘everyone versus everyone’. They were like duplicates of the larger-scale Ancient Saint World.

In such a swirl of struggle, all the individuals prioritized their immediate interests and would never unite to consider the interests of the civilization as a whole.

When the Ancients, who were scattered to the low-level civilizations, showed amazing wisdom and complicated strategies, they were immediately awed by the experts of the low-level civilizations and started making use of the Ancients to fight against their old enemies. During the process, the ‘mercenaries’ and the ‘slave soldiers’ of both sides were also the Ancients. Such a ridiculous and dangerous scene took place.

The old wise men were crying in grief and indignation on the peak of the mountain. The Primeval Lord of Heaven was attacking each other with the advanced spiritual weapons on the battlefield. The experts of other species in space were laughing in the forest of wine and meat, thinking that their plan had worked out. Nobody heard the earsplitting waves coming from the depths of the sea of stars. Thunder was breaking out in the atmosphere of every habitable planet. It was the ambition of the Primeval Lord of Heaven that he had been hiding for ten thousand years. It was the roar of a high-level civilization against the low-level civilizations and the stupid beasts. A war had broken out for the glory of the Primeval Lord of Heaven!

“A hundred thousand years ago, after eating all the large animals on the planet, including the most brutal animals, our ancestors walked out of Africa. They scattered the animals on every continent of the planet in about eighty thousand years and exterminated more than 90% of the animals. It was the only mass extinction that was not caused by natural disasters in the history of the planet. Our species was more efficient in slaughtering than the natural disasters such as meteoroid strikes, volcanic eruptions, super earthquakes, and prolonged glaciers.

The voice said calmly, “The mammoth weighs more than ten tons and boasts thick hair and fat. The tusks of the male elephants are more than three meters long, much longer than those of an adult man. They are the unquestionable dominators of the prairie during the long Ice Age.

“The saber-toothed tiger possesses teeth as sharp as daggers and an extremely concealed hunting ability. In order to resist our threat, some subspecies have even evolved into the form of teeth specialized in gnawing the human brain. Their powerful bite force can easily crush a complete skull.

“Whale are the largest and heaviest animals. Their range of survival does not overlap with ours at all. They live in the vast ocean far away from crowds.

“So what? So what? So what? Is there any reason to stop our extinction?

“Civilization means a million times more barbarism. When a civilization encounters barbarism, no matter how great the difference in individual capability is, there is no suspense about the outcome. Whether it is the Void Hunters, the giant crab, or other alien species in space, no matter how much spiritual energy they control or ‘waste’, in our eyes, they are just large mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, and blue whales. A hundred thousand years ago, we walked out of Africa. Today, we conquer the universe!”
