Chapter 566: Chapter 563: Master Wu’s Revenge

Thinking back now, it must have been the housekeeper’s deliberate doing. By the time I realized it, it was too late!

Wang Tianpei felt waves of despair in his heart, and instinctively reached out to stop the tires from turning.

But as soon as he touched them, he felt a burning sensation, and a blister from friction appeared on his hand. He almost toppled out of the wheelchair.

Seeing Wang Tianpei about to slide down the mountain, the housekeeper exchanged a glance with the driver, nodding slightly to each other, then the driver frantically chased after Wang Tianpei, shouting his name as he ran.

Sitting in the wheelchair, Wang Tianpei was about to fall off the cliff and couldn’t help letting out a desperate scream, closing his eyes tightly in fear.

A moment later, Wang Tianpei felt a tug. If he hadn’t firmly grasped the handle, he would have been thrown out. Yet, he didn’t feel the uncontrollable sensation of a free fall from a high altitude and couldn’t help opening his eyes slightly.

Seeing that the cliff edge was less than three meters away, Wang Tianpei’s heartbeat suddenly accelerated, feeling the thudding in his ears align perfectly with his heartbeat. Luckily, he was spared from a great danger.

For a long time, Wang Tianpei wondered why he hadn’t fallen. He looked around and found nothing that could have stopped the downward rush, making him even more puzzled.

Suddenly, he remembered the force that nearly threw him out and cautiously turned his head to look back, fearing that he would see the housekeeper’s terrifyingly smiling face...

”Master Wu!” Seeing that it was the driver Old Wu who saved him, Wang Tianpei hurriedly pleaded, ”Quick, quickly call the police, Housekeeper Wang wants to kill me!”

But he never thought that the police, whom he usually dismissed, were the first ones he thought to seek help from in a time of crisis. What an ironic thing!

”Let’s go! Let’s go settle the score with that old man!” Master Wu seemed indignant and immediately turned around, pushing Wang Tianpei back.

”No, no, no!”

Wang Tianpei gestured and spoke all at once, showing how terrified he was of the housekeeper.

”First, take me away from here. I beg you, Master Wu!” Wang Tianpei’s fear intensified as he glanced at the housekeeper’s enthusiastic smile in the distance, urgently saying, ”I’ll give you one hundred, no, two million afterwards!”

Yet Master Wu, still simmering with anger, said, ”I don’t believe there’s no law. Would he dare to kill someone in broad daylight?”

Wang Tianpei saw his plea was completely ignored by Master Wu, who was filled with integrity. He felt extremely anxious but had no other options.

However, in his state of terror, he didn’t notice the pure white gloves Master Wu wore as he pushed him upward.

While walking, Master Wu sprayed a sanitizing spray on the wheelchair handle and wiped it with his gloved hands as they ascended.

The housekeeper at the manor entrance turned away upon seeing this, not giving Wang Tianpei time to feel relieved before his upper body lunged forward and the wheelchair rapidly rolled backward.

This unexpected scare made him scream again, a sound more unsettling than a pig being slaughtered!

Before he plummeted into the abyss, he heard Master Wu shout, ”Repent for the sins you committed in hell!”

...

Master Wu walked step by step to the manor entrance, kneeling directly in front of the housekeeper, choking up as he said, ”Thank you! Thank you for helping me!”

The housekeeper hurriedly helped him up, ”No need for this. I will bring those beasts related to your daughter’s incident to you one by one, but there’s something I need to make clear beforehand...”

Master Wu interrupted with a serious expression, ”Rest assured, being able to kill those bastards with my own hands makes you the greatest benefactor of my life. From now on, my life is yours!”

He continued, ”Even if one day the matter is exposed, all of this has nothing to do with you. Although I don’t have much education, I have basic humanity!”

The housekeeper nodded, ”Alright, you can go back first!”

If Wang Bin or others were present at this moment, they would have realized that this Master Wu is the father of the girl they harmed back then...

——

After the housekeeper left, in a luxurious room, Wang Peng coldly pressed the phone on the sofa, dialing a number he hadn’t contacted in years, yet was all too familiar...

”Wang!” The voice on the other end was familiar, causing Wang Peng’s lips to tremble slightly but no sound came out.

After a while, he spoke with some bitterness, ”Brother Zong, I’ve troubled you again this time!”

Zong Jian, on the other end, upon receiving Wang Peng’s call, guessed his intent and directly said, ”I advise you not to act impulsively. The one who hurt Xiao Bin is the young master of the Zhong Family, which I’m sure you’ve heard about.”

However, Zong Jian’s advice had no effect. If it were someone else, he might have been able to endure for peace, as he was no longer the young man who recklessly ventured into the world with just passion.

But the one injured was his son, his only comfort in his twilight years. Now, being told he might never hold a grandchild shattered him more than being killed.

As for the much-coveted patriarch position valued by Wang Bin, Wang Peng never cared from the start. As long as his son was happy, being the patriarch didn’t matter.

So he didn’t care about the incident’s impact on Wang Bin’s future competition for the patriarch position, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t pursue the matter where his brothers concealed information to make their children the patriarch.

The Wang Family in Qing Province could be said to have a pervasive network, like a giant spider web covering the area.

Exaggerating a little, even in remote villages, nothing could escape the Wang Family’s eyes, not even the gender of a newborn puppy.

Unremarkable vagrants and loafers in the village could become message relayers when the Wang Family needed them.

As the patriarch, Wang Peng’s intelligence network was undoubtedly the most powerful.

If this happened elsewhere, it might be understandable, but it happened right under his nose in Qing Province, how could no information be relayed back?!

The only possibility was that someone intercepted the information, and that person was definitely a member of the Wang Family.

...

For now, Wang Peng suppressed his anger, speaking to his old friend on the phone, ”I didn’t call for anything else, just to thank you. I know about what happened with Bin’Er in your office, and I apologize for the trouble!”

Zong Jian chuckled bitterly, ”You’re too kind, Wang. I didn’t manage to help much!”

”Just by trying to stop him from shooting, no matter the outcome, the fact that you said something means a lot to me!”

Wang Peng sighed, ”Truth be told, in all these years, only you among the old brothers dared to take my calls!”
