God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 312: Chapter 310: A Different Instructor

”Hunter?”

Although the special forces soldiers present were all quite young, the legendary figure known as the god of the military was well-known to them. During a previous knowledge lecture, their instructor had even recounted Hunter’s exploits—slaying mercenary leaders from various countries and earning countless military honors at a young age, with innumerable legends.

”Is this for real?”

”This is going to be interesting! Hunter is my idol!”

”No wonder Commander Zhu Hu didn’t reveal it earlier; turns out he invited such a big shot!” The tone of many started to turn excited and expectant.

The entire scene suddenly became charged with excitement. After all, the name of Hunter was just too prominent; many regarded Hunter as an idol and a goal to strive towards.

However, what they didn’t know was that this Assassin had recently ranked tenth on the Dark List! If they knew, they would likely have been utterly shocked by now.

”Hmph.”

Every group has its skeptics. It’s the same in special forces. While many were shocked and excited, another special forces soldier standing on the right, Dong Feng, let out a cold snort.

This person, standing at a towering 1.78 meters, with short hair and thick eyebrows, looked every bit the embodiment of a man’s man at first glance.

Dong Feng said coldly, ”What Hunter? I think it’s just a legend. Whether he’s qualified to train us, I need to test it first!”

Standing in front of Dong Feng, a slightly more robust team member, Cai Qiang, also nodded.

”Exactly, I agree with Dong Feng’s idea,” Cai Qiang continued. ”Hunter is just a legend after all. I personally dislike these overhyped figures. In time, we’ll see if he’s truly capable!”

Both Dong Feng and Cai Qiang had an obvious tone of defiance, clearly not taking the Assassin’s name seriously. As elites in the military, they possessed their own pride, and earning their respect is no simple matter.

Just as the crowd was fiercely discussing, the sound of a car horn interrupted. Shortly after, a military jeep drove into the special forces’ compound.

As the vehicle entered the courtyard, the soldiers all saluted. This car belonged to Commander Zhu Hu of the East Region, and seeing the car was akin to seeing the man himself.

As the car slowly came to a stop in front of the Tiger Roar Team members, Zhu Hu alighted first. Being their division commander, the special forces soldiers naturally held him in high regard, and they all stood at attention, saluting crisply.

”Greetings, sir!”

Zhu Hu waved his hand and didn’t mince words. He said directly, ”Alright, alright, this time, let me introduce you to someone named Xiao Tian, who will also be your new instructor! It took me great effort to bring him here!”

Then, Xiao Tian jumped out of the vehicle and walked up to the group with a beaming smile.

Xiao Tian was not one to promote himself, mainly because, as he thought for a moment, he concluded it was due to having too many strengths. Helplessly, he offered a brief introduction,

”Hello, everyone. My name is Xiao Tian. ’Xiao’ as in desolate, and ’Tian’ as in sky!”

Zhu Hu added with a smile, ”Of course, if I mention his other name, you should be clearer—Hunter!”

The moment they saw Xiao Tian, the entire scene erupted in shock.

This young man in his twenties was the legendary Hunter?

Furthermore, they noticed Zhu Hu’s respectful attitude when introducing Xiao Tian; they had never seen their stern commander show such reverence before.

”Be serious!”

Seeing the scene erupt in awe, Zhu Hu raised his voice, ”His age is about the same as yours, but the blood and effort he has given for the country are beyond your reach. Let me inform you, Xiao Tian was recently awarded the rank of Major General. During the next phase, he will live and train with you all. If even Xiao Tian can’t train you, you might as well all pack up and leave; I can’t bear the embarrassment!”

A Major General?

The crowd was already awestruck by Zhu Hu’s respectful demeanour, and now they discovered that this smiling young man of the same age, with an air of roguish charm, was actually a Major General?

At this moment, everyone felt as if they had been hit over the head; Xiao Tian brought them too many shocks.

So much so that even after Zhu Hu had left for a while, they still hadn’t processed it.

Xiao Tian looked at these special forces soldiers and sighed internally. Compared to his comrades when he first enlisted, this group seemed lacking in many ways.

Zhu Hu, you’re really giving me a tough challenge here!

Since it was the first day, and he’d be living here for the next month, Xiao Tian was not in a rush, planning instead to start his ”hellish training” tomorrow.

”Captain!” Xiao Tian suddenly called out.

”Present!” The Tiger Roar Team’s squad leader, Chen Gang, stood at attention, his voice loud and clear. Despite having doubts about Xiao Tian, since Zhu Hu personally appointed him, Chen Gang showed no sign of dissent.

”Where’s my room?”

”In Building C, you have a private office and rest quarters.”

Xiao Tian nodded and yawned, clearly tired from being awake for three consecutive days.

”Oh, then lead me there, I’m a bit tired.”

”Oh... okay.” Chen Gang nodded dumbly. He initially thought Xiao Tian might have important training instructions, but it turned out he just wanted to sleep? Such a drastic shift was unexpected!

Then Xiao Tian casually remarked, ”Gather here tomorrow at 3 AM sharp, let’s go.”

After speaking, Xiao Tian slowly left the courtyard under Chen Gang’s lead, heading to Building C.

Meanwhile, Dong Feng and Cai Qiang exchanged glances, evidently surprised and incredulous about Xiao Tian’s rank as Major General.

After a moment, Dong Feng clenched his fist and said coldly, defiantly, ”So what if he has a high rank? Even for the sake of my comrades, I need to find an opportunity to test if he truly has what it takes to train us! If this Hunter is really as legendary as they say, I’ll take all the responsibility!”

”That’s right. In the Tiger Roar Team, strength earns respect. I’ll only be convinced by real ability. If this Xiao Tian is just here for glory, I’d rather resign!” Cai Qiang said firmly.

Having said that, the two turned in anger and stormed off. Clearly, the idea of a ”peer instructor” like Xiao Tian didn’t sit well with them, and others around could only shake their heads helplessly. Dong Feng and Cai Qiang were notoriously stubborn in the team; they couldn’t be stopped!

Still, the Hunter Xiao Tian wasn’t quite what they’d imagined.

Meanwhile, Salon and his two men, using their maps, were closing in on the East Region military zone, planning to ambush in the nearby forests, ready to assassinate Xiao Tian and make a name for themselves.
