Chapter 2805: Chapter 2808: The Enemy Attacks

At the edge of a vast mountain range, an armored legion stands on the mountainside of the edge peak.

This is an army of ten thousand, with a Taiji symbol painted on the armor of the legion’s soldiers.

At the front of the legion, Zhang Sanfeng, dressed in golden armor, is introducing the situation ahead to Jiang Chen and others beside him.

”This is our defensive line. The forest ahead is the frontline of the Extraterritorial Alien Race’s Night Legion. We’ve been fighting them for over a year!”

Zhang Sanfeng gestured ahead, and Jiang Chen and the others looked up to see.

Below the mountain lies a five-mile-long plain, beyond which is a dense forest.

”The Night Legion is mainly composed of the Night Elf elite, who are natural archers. Their elf bows and arrows carry various attributes, suppressing our spiritual power, and the forest is their natural battlefield.”

Zhang Sanfeng continued, ”If we fought on the plain, I am confident I could annihilate their army of ten thousand, but in the dense forest, they could wipe us out completely. Therefore, for the last year and a half, we’ve only engaged in a drawn-out tug-of-war, infiltration battles, without a true face-to-face confrontation.”

”Archers, huh?”

Jiang Chen smiled lightly, ”I like archers and mages. These people have poor defense, it’s easy to fight them without exerting much effort.”

”Mr. Jiang, don’t be careless. Their attack power is quite high. When strong individuals meet, their strike is enough to crush our warriors!”

Zhang Sanfeng lightly reminded.

”Just don’t get hit by them, then?”

Jiang Chen smiled slightly.

Not getting hit...

Zhang Sanfeng and others were taken aback. Saying it is easy, but doing it is quite difficult!

”If you gather on the plain, will they attack?”

Jiang Chen asked again.

”No, they won’t attack us on the plain. They only strike when we enter the forest. In the forest, they can conceal their aura, making it difficult for us to pinpoint their locations. If we attack from outside, we can follow the trajectory to attack them!”

Zhang Sanfeng shook his head.

”Alright! You gather outside the forest, and I’ll go into the forest to figure out a way to set up the formation.”

Jiang Chen spoke softly.

”Mr. Jiang, they’re dispersed in the forest, how will you set up a formation...”

Zhang Sanfeng’s eyes showed a hint of hesitation.

”It’s okay, I’ll make them gather together. But first, you need to hide, don’t gather too early, wait for my signal.”

Jiang Chen smiled and shook his head, ”Once I send a signal, you gather on the plain, creating a threat, and when my formation activates, then you charge in.”

”This... alright, be careful!”

Zhang Sanfeng hesitated for a moment and gently advised.

”I’m off!”

Jiang Chen nodded, his figure swiftly leaping down the mountain.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Jiang Chen flickered forward, and after five flashes, he arrived at the forest edge.

”Spatial Path!?”

Wu Haifeng murmured in surprise, ”No wonder he’s going alone.”

”Wu Captain, just wait, Brother Jiang will make your jaw drop in amazement!”

Tang Jie chuckled as he spoke.

Wu Haifeng remained silent, Jiang Chen had already amazed him!

”Enemy attack!”

A faint cry came from the dense forest, and everyone stared intently towards it.

By now, Jiang Chen had arrived at the forest edge, but just as he was about to rush into the dense forest, a loud shout rang out.

”He’s the enemy of spatial path, don’t let him enter the forest! Open fire!”

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

Over a hundred arrows of various colors descended from above, rapidly shooting towards Jiang Chen.

”Indeed, the enemies here are a bit trickier than the Necro Spirit, but just a bit!”

Jiang Chen grinned.

”Spatial Shift!”

Swish!

With a flash, Jiang Chen vanished from his place.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A massive roar erupted as the hundreds of arrows rained down on where Jiang Chen had been, kicking up a towering cloud of dust.

After a while, as the dust settled, there emerged a huge pit with a diameter of nearly a hundred meters, where various glows flickered momentarily before gradually dissipating.

By then, Jiang Chen had already entered the forest.

”One team on alert, others search the forest, find the intruder!”

A shout echoed, and several figures flew up from the forest, moving through the gaps between the trees instead of flying above the forest.

”Let’s start with you first!”

On a tree large enough for two to embrace, Jiang Chen glanced towards the direction of the shout, a smile on his lips, fully hiding his aura, sealing points with Long Yan, Dragon Qi beneath the skin, Dao Rhythms enveloping his body.

Buzz!

Layer by layer of sealing patterns were laid down, Jiang Chen emitted a faint aura of the Wood Path, and his aura gradually transformed into a lively vitality akin to that of the tree he nestled against.

Swoosh!

Once the aura transformation was complete, Jiang Chen looked left and right, his body moving as he slid down the trunk, his feet emanating the Earth Path, gradually converting into the aura of the local earth, wrapping around his feet, silently advancing using the trees for cover towards the source of the shout.

Buzz buzz!

Suddenly, several faint auras came from ahead, and Jiang Chen flashed his figure behind a large tree.

Swoosh swoosh swoosh!

As Jiang Chen hid, three figures flew past the tree trunk, a subtle wave swept over Jiang Chen without the slightest pause.

Peeking out sneakily, Jiang Chen observed the three figures.

They were three dark green figures, from head to toe covered in this somber color, blending almost perfectly into the dense forest where leaves blocked out sunlight, making them hard to spot.

If not for Jiang Chen’s exceptional sensitivity to aura anomalies, he wouldn’t have detected them.

The figures were entirely dark green, with pointy ears extending past their heads, carrying a specially made quiver, and holding a long bow matching their figure’s colors. As they flew, a pair of illusory dark green wings appeared on their backs.

Once the three flew away, Jiang Chen continued to stealthily advance forward.

Evading over ten groups of scouting personnel, Jiang Chen paused his movement, hiding behind a tree, and stared intently at a large tree not far ahead.

The trunk of the tree was wrapped with vines, forming a platform. On the platform, four archers stood at its corners, and at its center, a young male figure was looking out at the plain through the dense forest.

Is this an outpost? Well, let’s take out the outpost first!

Jiang Chen’s gaze sharpened, and in a flash, he darted out.

”Enemy attack!”

As Jiang Chen appeared, five night elves quickly spotted him, with the archers at the corners drawing their bows and arrows, instantly completing their shots.

The central young man drew a slender sword at his waist, his eyes glaring at Jiang Chen.

Swoosh swoosh swoosh!

Searing sounds of air breaking erupted as personnel responding to the call hurriedly rushed over.
