Venerated Venomous Consort

”Lu Wu.” Si Chen spat out two words.

That made Gu Xijiu’s eyes light up!

Lu Wu was the mythological beast in the legends!

In the modern legends, some even said that it was the mountain god of Kunlun mountain!

The modern legends depicted it by the body of a tiger, a human face and with nine tails, but this little beast did not have a human face…

Gu Xijiu looked at the face of the little beast and was affirmed that it was indeed the face of a tiger, just that it looked more beautiful with large eyes, double eyelids and long eyelashes.

Legends are legends after all, and thus generally differ from the truth. Therefore, it was excusable that the little Lu Wu in front was different from the one depicted in legends.

She could not help but pat on the little head of Lu Wu while it licked her fingers before it hugged them with its two front claws and slept off.

”Si Chen, what skills does it have?” Gu Xijiu asked excitedly.

As she did not receive an answer from Si Chen, she could not help but look at him and saw that he was looking into the sky as if he did not hear her question at all.

Gu Xijiu thus looked towards the sky and was shocked!

Since she entered the Dark Forest, she no longer see the sky but she can actually see it between the gaps of the trees!

The blue sky and the white clouds, what a bright and sunny day!

As Gu Xijiu had not seen the sky for a while already, Gu Xijiu was glad to see it again, ”I can’t believe that I could see a normal sky here, what a sunny day!”

She was so happy that she wanted to turn around.

She then felt the weight on her shoulder as Si Chen put his hand on it, ”Little Xijiu, can you see the sky outside?”

Nonsense, why would she not see the sky outside? She was not blind at all!

Gu Xijiu glared at him and wanted to sweep away the ‘wolf’s claw’ on her shoulder but Si Chen quickly held onto her hands and stared directly into her eyes, ”Come, tell me, what do you see in the sky?”

His voice was magnetic and sounded more melodious than a cello.

The pair of eyes had darkened as if they could see through his heart.

As though hypnotized, Gu Xijiu blurted out, ”Blue skies, white clouds, and the morning sun. Ah, the shape of the clouds are so strange, like…resembling Lu Wu! But they look better than my Lu Wu and has a pair of wings…”

”And?”

”The sun is shining brightly, round and has a circle of a golden edge. Ah, it doesn’t look like the sun but the moon, no, how can the moon be so bright? That Lu Wu-shaped cloud is circling it…”

The hand on her shoulder suddenly become very heavy that Gu Xijiu felt a pain and struggled, ”Hey, Di Fuyi…”

As soon as she said it, she seemed to have woken up from the dream and her chaotic mind suddenly became clear. She pushed the hand on her shoulder away, ”Si Chen, you…”

Si Chen’s face appeared to be rather pale but his eyes were now extremely bright. He chimed in, ”What did you just call me?”

Gu Xijiu frowned, ”Oh Si Chen, what’s happening?”

Si Chen squinted his eyes to appear very attractive and looked at her for a moment before he exclaimed, ”You recognize me, don’t you?”

Gu Xijiu was shocked and pursed her lips but she did not deny, ”Yes.”

...

She used to be an outstanding killer after all and was extremely good at logical thinking. Though Si Chen and Di Fuyi had a different appearance and characteristics, Gu Xijiu could still identify the little differences after being with Di Fuyi for a relatively long period of time.

From doubts to arriving to a confirmation, she just did not want to disclose…
