Venerated Venomous Consort

Danger always lurks and strikes at an unexpected moment, and it happens without any signs.

When Gu Xijiu took out the two inner alchemies from the Six-eyes Spotted Killer Centipedes, one of them dropped by accident. They belonged to fire element, and thus, when it fell to the ground, it suddenly flashed and exploded.

Gu Xijiu was shocked.

Before she could pick up the dropped inner alchemy, the ground on the floor suddenly split, and she fell into the gap. Although she was shocked, she was not panicked. She kept using her palms to dispense power. Fortunately, the power she used was shot into the air to make a signal.

How could this be?! How big had this hole been split into?

Before she finished her thought, she heard a shout from the top, ”I will come and save you!”

”Phewww.” There were powerful winds on top, and it looked like a person fell into the hole too. Apparently, the man was falling faster than her, and he was able to catch her very soon. Gu Xijiu was able to turn her face away so that they won’t face each other as they fell. But this man was very bright. He hugged her during the fall, and the two of them were falling together like Siamese twins. Before Gu Xijiu could push him away, they had already reached the ground.

”Bang!” A crashing sound was heard when the two of them rolled on the ground. This time, Si Chen was the cushion, and Gu Xijiu merely landed on his body.

He hugged her tightly, and it greatly buffered the impact force, so it did not hurt Gu Xijiu so much. However, her body was in the midst of growing and was still very sensitive. When her breast hit on his body, she felt pain and inhaled hard.

Initially, when she landed, she wanted to rise by using her hand as support. However, her arms had no energy, and she fell on his body again.

The hole was very dark to the point where Gu Xijiu could not see anything. She could not even see Si Chen’s face. She could only hear the heavy breathing nearby.

He was not injured, right?

Gu Xijiu subconsciously wanted to hold his wrist. However, she not only did not get his hand but slightly touch his lips. Her body grew stiff. Si Chen’s voice was suddenly heard from below her body, ”How long… do you want to remain in this position?”

Gu Xijiu remained silent.

She quickly jumped up and her face was blushing in the dark. However, she sounded calm, ”Since you can still talk loudly, I guess you are not injured. How did you fall down?”

She clearly remembered that he was standing quite far from the split ground. It should be quite easy if he wanted to run away.

”Since we are companions, we should live or die together. I am a guy and I must protect a lady. If you fall, I will fall together with you.

Si Chen talked as if he was a hero. While he was talking, he also sat up. However, he seemed to touch on the wound and hissed lightly.

Gu Xijiu was speechless.

She felt like she was always confused by Si Chen. However, although this guy was a bit pedantic, he was a very responsible man, so she did not leave him alone.

She always felt that he was a bit mysterious. When he was beside her, he was hiding his true ability and she felt uncomfortable with that.

She looked around and asked, ”What is this place?”
