My Youth Began With Him

“We haven’t visited you since you woke up.” Tang Chuan was pretty honest.

Su Yan just placed the bags on the desk.

“We brought you shrimp dumplings and pineapple buns from Hsu Fu Chi; you can have some when you’re hungry.”

“Good. You still remember my favorite food,” Shen Mingxi said with a smile.

“You’re a good guy, except for your taste in women,” Su Yu said frankly.

“Haha! You hurt Young Master Shen’s feelings… Young Master Su, you’re too honest with your words,” Tang Chuan mocked him.

Shen Mingxi lowered his head in embarrassment; he picked up the dim sum that Su Yu had brought in and began to eat slowly.

“It’s said Wei Ying comes to see you each day.” Su Yu gossiped.

“Ahem…” Shen Mingxi almost choked.

“What’s happening with you two? Do you want to get back together?”

“No… I found Ying has changed a lot. We’re more like…old friends,” Shen Mingxi said.

“Well. That’s good. I thought… you’d get back together with her; I’m sure Old Wei wouldn’t agree. You know his temper. Remember how fiercely you two families fought each other? You can’t just reverse everything…” Su Yu commented.

Shen Mingxi didn’t speak, but disappointment flashed in his eyes before it disappeared swiftly.

“I told you it’s impossible, but you just didn’t believe me, Mr. Su. In fact, Wei Ying has a boyfriend,” Tang Chuan said casually as he strolled to Shen Minxi’s desk, picked up an apple and took a bite.

“She has a boyfriend? Don’t bullshit me. How come I don’t know about that?” Su Yu scolded Tang Chuan.

“All your attention is focused on my sister-in-law and my nieces… You don’t care about such gossips,” Tang Chuan teased him.

“Get out…”

“Haha! I’m serious. Anyway, our circle isn’t big, and everyone knows everyone. A few days ago, when I was hanging out with Sun Kai and his pals, I heard that the youngest son of the Ye Corporation, what’s his name? Oh, Ye Zhaoyang, he’s in hot pursuit of Wei Ying. I met him a couple of times. He’s good looking and smart, unlike his scumbag elder brothers. If he can marry Wei Ying and unite with the Wei Family, I think he will become the next president of Ye Corporation.”

As Tang Chuan rattled on, Su Yu and Shen Mingxi listened quietly.

“I don’t think so. Old Wei said he wanted Wei Ying to marry a civilian instead of marrying for business interests. Anyway, the Wei Family is loaded and doesn’t need her to marry into another rich family,” Su Yu retorted.

“It’s hard to say. Maybe they love each other. Didn’t Wei Ying tell you about Ye Zhaoyang?” Tang Chuan asked Shen Mingxi.

Shen Mingxi shook his head…

“Oh. I guess she was embarrassed to tell you.”

“Where did you hear that? Are you sure it’s true?” Su Yu looked at Tang Chuan in disbelief.

“Absolutely. I heard that Wei Ying is going to attend a wilderness survival training in a few days and Ye Zhaoyang will go too. He’d do anything to get close to Wei Ying. They are both single and might hit it off in the wilderness. Hahaha… They might come back as a couple.” Tang Chuan smirked.

Su Yu wasn’t surprised, but Shen Mingxi felt his mind was a mess as he lowered his head and ate dim sum.

“But Wei Ying has changed a lot in the past years; I thought she’d go wild after divorce,” commented Su Yu.

“No. She was wild enough before that. Haha, after being spurned by Mr. Shen, she has become a nice girl,” Tang Chuan joked.

But Shen Mingxi didn’t speak, and his expression looked stiff.

“Mr. Shen, you’ve stayed in the hospital for a few days now. Did your beloved Huo Yanyan visit you?” Tang Chuan asked intentionally.
