”E-Eh? You donʼt want your mother to hold you?!” Agatheina looked heartbroken.

”Nuh-huh…” Jeanne said, rubbing her face over mine and then kissing me again. ”I-I want mama Kireina…”

”Hahah, leave her be. I donʼt mind,” I said. ”Oh? Nirah, Scarlet, how are you two doing?”

”Mom!” Scarlet hugged me as usual, wrapping her tail around my torso. ”Iʼm good! I have been going to the academy… itʼs been fun!”

”Iʼve learned a lot too!” Nirah nodded cutely. ”We are grownups now!”

”Haha, is that so?” I patted their heads. ”Well, Iʼm glad youʼve been busy and studying…”

”She doesnʼt have the best grades though,” Alucard said cockily.

”Fufu, thatʼs right, my son. Keep saying that! You must show your mother Kireina that youʼre indeed much more special,” Alice said with a cocky smile.

”Uuh, who cares about grades…?” Nirah rolled her eyes. ”I go to have fun…!”

”Yeah, but we should study a bit more,” Scarlet nodded. ”Letʼs do that then!”

”After all, if you donʼt have good enough grades, you may get expelled,” Electra said. ”And you wouldnʼt want that, right?”

”Aahh… okay…” Nirah sighed. ”But studying is boring…”

”It is, right?” Fafnir agreed. ”Itʼs more fun to do the fighting stuff!”

”Yeah! And dancing classes!” Nirah moved her hips.

”Hmph, thatʼs just not going to get you anywhere in life…” Alucard said.

He was really acting more and more like his mother. And I donʼt know if that was the right thing. I donʼt want my kids to fight each other over such things.

Competing is fine, but doing it excessively can lead to bad relationships and more.

”Okay, thatʼs enough, Alucard. Letʼs not go overboard,” I said. ”Donʼt rub that on your siblings too much, alright? Itʼs wrong to mock them… theyʼre your family.”

”E-Eh?” Alucard looked a little surprised. ”Youʼre reprimanding me? But I work and study hard! I deserve praise!”

”You do!” I nodded. ”But your great grades and hard work shouldnʼt be used to belittle your own family members. Alice, please stop teaching the boy these things. I want you to get along with everyone.”

”A-Ah…! I-Iʼm sorry…” Alice was surprised, suddenly becoming a little shy out of nowhere. ”I thought… that would make you happy…”

”It made me happy, but the good part was the boy doing well, not teaching him to mock others and act cocky like that,” I said. ”I mean, siblings will always be kind of like that too, but donʼt force it or let it go overboard. It could cause a lot of strife, and I donʼt want that with my children. Fafnir, come here.”

”Huh?” Fafnir walked to my side.

”Alucard, come here,” I said.

”Why…” Alucard asked, as he walked to my side.

I quickly made the boys shake hands.

”Youʼre siblings, brothers. I am the mother of both of you. You share the same blood, and this will never change, no matter how different you may be from one another,” I said with a smile, hugging them both. ”I love you both lots and lots, okay?”

I hugged them tightly, making them a little embarrassed.

”Fafnir, would you put in more effort for me?” I asked him. ”Charlotte, come here as well.”

”A-Ah! Yes… Iʼm sorry, the boy is so wild. Iʼm having a hard time dealing with this…” Charlotte sighed.

”Iʼve been helping out, but I guess I may have to step into this a bit more as well. Their education is important after all,” I nodded. ”Iʼll be more present from now on, even though I have so many things to do. I canʼt neglect their growth.”

The first generation grew up so well because I was always present with them. I canʼt let the second generation grow up with problems because I was ”too busy” or something.

”Um, okay… if mommy asks me… Iʼll try,” Fafnir said with a cute little voice. ”But… writing and numbers is complicated… and memorizing history that I donʼt really care about is… annoying.”

”I know it might be boring, but itʼll help you in the long run,” I said. ”Youʼll become stronger from it. Strength is not just brute force but knowledge as well.”

”And Alucard,” I said. ”Please be nicer, okay? Itʼs wrong and bad to mock your siblings like you did… maybe do it playfully or something, but never do it seriously. Theyʼre your family, and I wonʼt tolerate you discriminating against them or hating them for being different from you.”

”Okay…” Alucard started crying a little. ”Iʼm sowyyy… I-I didnʼt think it would hurt my brother that much… I was doing it to motivate him…”

”Really?” Fafnir asked. ”Oh… I thought you were doing it because you were a jackass…”

”Where did he learn that word?” I asked.

Charlotte was looking elsewhere, pretending not to have heard us.

”Alright then, youʼll get along?” I asked. ”Alucard, you could help your brother too. Just do whatever you can. And Iʼll compensate you if you work hard. I can give you special gifts or something. Well, for everyone who does their best! How about it? If you get good grades, you could even get a Cosmic Ego Weapon of my own creation…! And no, this isnʼt a competition. Everyone can get their reward by working hard.”

”Really?!” Fafnir asked. ”O-Okay! Iʼll try then!”

”Sure!” Alucard nodded, as I wiped his tears. ”Iʼll help brother… and Iʼm sorry for being rude… it felt nice to do it but… well, sorry.”

”No, I must apologize myself,” Alice said, stepping forward. ”It was my fault, my son… I shouldnʼt have poisoned your mind like that. I… I think itʼs I who was wrong. I have been… I guess being a Vampire changed my personality quite a lot. It comes deep from within sometimes, that desire to compete and push those beneath me…”

”Itʼs okay. Iʼll comfort you and give you lots of love to make up for it.” I kissed her lips. ”Alright then, shall we begin our feast? Letʼs eat to our heartʼs content! Thereʼs a lot we need to talk about.”
