”It is not uncommon, through history, for enemies to temporarily make peace and ally together against a common foe,” Sakamoto said. ”Especially one of this caliber… that Sun God, I believe was just the beginning, boss. Things could only get nastier.”

”I know… and that he was so strong he almost got Kireina still got me worried…” he said.

”I…” I muttered. ”I think I overheard him saying something about… his power not being complete or something?”

”What?” he looked back at me in disbelief. ”Really?!”

”Yeah… he said his… power was coming somewhere, or something…” I tried to make it vague, revealing information about the worlds outside of this one could net me a penalty I didnʼt want to take right now. ”But the thing is, he said he wasnʼt at hundred percent, and that his power was returning to him over time, from somewhere, I donʼt know.”

”So what we fought wasnʼt him at a hundred percent? What sort of sick joke is this…” my father muttered. ”So that Sun God bastard will only continue growing… and thatʼs without considering his Vampire Allies, and his power to turn his allies into monstrously strong beings.”

”Yeah… we have to prepare,” I nodded. ”Asking for help however, would be unbefitting, right father?”

”Yeah,” he nodded. ”We wonʼt do that; I will never fall to that point… I could take him on, sure. Let him grow ten times, a hundred times… my power is much more boundless than what I show. I simply need time to release it all and prepare, and above all, I donʼt go all-out because I would end up destroying the entire city. If we can manage to corner him in a place away from the city, perhaps a domain in the wilderness… then I can go all-out without worrying.”

”Hmm, weʼre still assuming too many things,” Sakamoto said. ”For now it would be better to take over this Domain and move it away from here, it possess amazing new resources, but theyʼre also strange and never seen before… this whole new group thatʼs trying to take over our territory donʼt seem like your usual Yakuza or Underworld organizations… they seem to draw power from another place, not this world.”

Oh wow, is he a super detective or something?! Sakamoto is amazing at guessing stuff!

”I agree… letʼs leave it at that,” my father said. ”Kireina, I could give you a task. Try to investigate these materials. Your powers are capable of discerning these things more easily than I can.”

”Of course father, leave it to me,” I nodded. ”And about the trinity…?”

”Iʼll think about it, sending them a warning wonʼt work, theyʼll probably think Iʼm lying,” he said. ”It would be hopeless to tell them, and they would not believe their enemy is warning them about this, it would simply be stupid, and I would lose face. My reputation could plumet and they would take me less seriously.”

”Thatʼs… not wrong,” I nodded.

I guess there was more depth to this entire world than I imagined… I always just thought it was about taking whatever we wanted, but things such as ”losing face” and keeping his reputation high were all important.

Indeed, if we give them warnings they will laugh at them and think weʼre weaklings desperate for help, they will probably not even take it seriously.

They may need to be struck by these new foes to finally begin to realize that thereʼs something wrong happening…

Although I fear they might think they also belong to Chaos Gate…

”For now, I believe taking a sample would work,” I said, as I slashed the white and gold crystal with my hand and inspected it with my system first.

Just what was this?

System, do your job!

[Crystalized Decayed Sunlight Essence (??? Grade)]

The crystallization of decayed sunlight is the essence of a cosmic energy that had been warped from a star where a deity from another world had been sealed for millions of years. Through his seal, his very existence decayed, warped, and became monstrous, his once holy powers darkened and became aberrant, consuming matter and warping it based on his own authority and powers.

This material is different than others as it carries the Decayed Godʼs powers and authority, and even his thoughts are implanted into this energy, consuming it might cause light brainwashing unless it is possible to completely disintegrate the matter and rearrange it into pure power.

Using it for equipment hasnʼt been tested, but weapons containing the Decayed Godʼs powers could be created, although it is unknown if he could control them or not once he gets in their range.

-----

Oho! A lot of valuable information, huh?

Pretty interesting how this works, so it truly carries his ”authority” or whatever, which in turn makes the whole thing capable of brainwashing.

It sure infuses someone with a lot of power yeah, but it also decays their minds and souls or something.

Itʼs dangerous, but I think I can devour it without problems, Iʼve devoured worse things, such as Outer Gods themselves.

”So this carries the authority of this god…” I explained to my father and everyone else as he continued refining the Domain. ”Consuming it could cause brainwashing, yeah… itʼs dangerous.”

”So itʼs true? You saved my life then… I almost foolishly consumed that,” my father sighed. ”Did the bastard left it here for us to commit a mistake like that?”

”I donʼt know…” I said. ”Perhaps… perhaps not. He acts in strange cryptic ways, that bastard…”

After a lot of talking and wandering around the Domain, the entire place glowed, as my father took over it completely, he ultimately refined this entire Corrupted Domain, which was then assimilated by my fatherʼs Chaotic Realm.

The bubble where this Domain was located fused into his Chaotic Realm seamlessly, as he kept these things sealed within, just to make sure they wouldnʼt get into the wrong hands.

”Materials of this caliber could be used by us, but itʼs better to keep them sealed in my Chaotic Realm,” my dad explained.
