”We are quite used to not cooperate that much in battles, itʼs hard to trust each other when we all belong on an organization full of hitmen,” Acelina giggled, taking it easy.

”I suppose youʼre not wrong,” I nodded. ”It wouldnʼt have been possible, if anything I mostly just stole their kill, my bad, fufu. But she looked like a delightful meal, so I couldnʼt help but feed my cravings… you see, I might have something similar to daddy after all.”

”I-I see…” nodded Takamura. ”Remind me to never get on your bad side, ojou-sama…”

”Is there a limit to what you can devour, young lady?” Uzuki wondered curiously.

”Probably… not,” I said with a smile. ”Hmm, well, there was a time when I died from eating something…”

”You died?! But youʼre here…” Ismena muttered.

”Ahahah, yeah I was exaggerating,” I laughed. ”Howʼs Sakamoto handling his side?”

We looked into the distance, rushing near the battlefield Sakamoto and the [Thousand-Eyed Millestode, the Distorted Pride] had taken for themselves.

And just as we expected…

”AAAARRGGGHHHH! WHY CANʼT I…! YOU BASTARD…!”

Sakamoto was easily avoiding countless blows as his Aura manifested even further, solidifying with every blow he evaded, as dozens of coins were fired, infused with ethereal golden flames, popping the monstrous Recessedʼs eyes one by one.

”Why? Well, letʼs say youʼre pretty unlucky.”

As Sakamoto said, his eyes glowed bright gold, suddenly appearing in front of the Recessed, whose body was already torn apart to almost nothing.

”{Palm of Fortune}”

His hand rushed down, as a gigantic golden palm crushed the Recessed down, making his entire body crash right in front of me, blowing up wood and branches along the way.

BOOOM!

”Young lady, I know you can devour entities to grow strong, so accept this as my gift to you, I hope you could forgive me.”

”W-What are you…?! I am not a meal I am…! I am…!”

The Recessedʼs eyes widened, as he saw me, my Aura emerging as countless jaws started biting through his body and soul, making him disappear bite after bite.

”GRAAAAHHHHH!”

He let out a last scream of agony, his last eyes crying blood in horror until he completely dissapeared, my Aura retracted after that, as I felt another power surging, being slowly assimilated.

Yes, with all three of these, I feel much stronger now.

”Thank you Sakamoto! Wonderful work as always, and please, thereʼs nothing to be sorry about, it was my fault that things turned out this way…” I sighed. ”I was the one of the plan. I know youʼre blaming yourself for this but… it was never your fault. And Iʼm grateful you trusted me. Now letʼs make sure my plan was for something.”

Sakamotoʼs eyes widened, as he smiled, nodding.

”Very well, young lady.”

Then, he looked at everyone else and noticed how the other two were gone.

”I see that youʼve defeated the two other monsters, well done,” he said. ”Takamura, Uzuki, Ismena, Acelina, your ranks may increase once this is over… focus on surviving now.”

”Yep, as he said,” I nodded. ”Yggdrantiaʼs branches are the safest, stay close to her and heal, while supporting everyone else.”

”Wait, where are you two going?!” Takamura asked. ”Ainʼt no way Iʼm letting you hog all the fun, Sakamoto!”

”Well, do you want to get involved in that battle?” Sakamoto pointed into the distance, as everyone saw endless light and endless darkness clashing.

”…Maybe not,” Takamura coughed. ”Okay fine! Damn it, these elites make me mad…! One day Iʼll get to your level, Sakamoto! So I hope you stop being cocky!”

”Iʼll gladly wait for that day, Takamura,” Sakamoto smiled. ”Uzuki, protect them.”

”Yes,” Uzuki nodded. ”Leave this to me.”

”Young lady, wait!” Ismena called me. ”Your father told us to protect us! You canʼt possibly just jump into danger right there, right?! Itʼs…!”

However, Acelinaʼs hand touched her shoulder, stopping her from reaching my side.

”Just let them go, Ismena,” Acelina smiled. ”The young lady is going to help her father… thereʼs nothing we can do to stop her. Sakamoto will be with her too, so thereʼs nothing to worry about. I hate to admit it, but heʼs a better bodyguard than we are… for now.”

”Haaa…” Ismena sighed, looking at me with puppy eyes. ”Please, donʼt die, young lady! I-I… I love you! So please, if something happens to you I would…”

”Donʼt worry,” I winked at her. ”Iʼll come back alive with my dad, and then we can enjoy the night together, alright?”

Takamura looked at us, he was terribly confused.

”Hey, hey, what does that mean?! Ismena what do you do with the ojou-sama at night?!” he asked in disbelief.

”Thatʼs… a secret I cannot reveal,” Ismena blushed while touching her chest.

”Eeeh?!” Takamura was the only reaction this way, Uzuki and Sakamoto didnʼt seem to care at all about the implications.

”Then, letʼs go, young lady, as they said, I shall become your bodyguard,” Sakamoto said with a prideful smile. ”I will become your shield… And that young manʼs powers, I might be able to help your father go against them.”

”That would be wonderful! Letʼs go,” I nodded, as we both rushed towards the skies, the shockwaves of my father and the Sun God as they battled spread out powerful explosions, shaking the entire Corrupted Domain.

RUMBLE!

The Sun God was sitting on his throne of gold and white pillars, the cursed manor that the Vampires controlled had been turned into a gigantic golem-like Recessed, which shapeshifted into a massive throne for him to sit down.

He rested his head over his throne, while waving his hand up and down, eternal brilliance was unleashed, shaking the entire Domain, my father was holding back though, as he didnʼt want their power to destroy the entire Corrupted Domain and end up causing great destruction in the city.

Despite how ruthless and chaotic he might be, he knew that the city and the people there had to be protected, without a city, there would be little point to a criminal organization that takes advantage of it, right?
