Reborn As Noble

Chapter 967: The Dance That Binds the Heart ( 967 )

Garius leaned in, voice low for Fransesca’s ears alone. ”Honey... if you show their dance on the live broadcast, won’t that capture other men’s hearts too? Isn’t that going to be trouble for our sons in the future?”

Fransesca smiled, serene and unbothered. ”No, dear. The dance itself isn’t what truly captures a partner’s heart. It’s beautiful, yes, graceful, elegant. But the dance alone holds no power to steal hearts.”

”Then what is it?” Garius pressed, curiosity flickering in his eyes.

She grinned, eyes playful. ”That, my king, is a secret only for girls. You won’t find it out with your Eyes of Truth either, since you know I’m the master of all the bearers.”

He shook his head and chuckled. ”I know. Even if I tried, I can’t. You hold all the cards with those ancient powers.”

”Good. And don’t worry, even if I never share that secret, I’ll still reward you tonight. Just try not to get too drunk with Lioness and Veldrac after the feast.” Fransesca leaned in, her tone mischievous. ”Afterward, I’m taking Mylezra and the other queens somewhere.”

Garius let out a soft, amused laugh. ”As you wish.”

Fransesca side-eyed Mylezra, catching her eager expression on the throne. ”I know she looks like she can’t wait for the honeymoon, but she’ll have to wait until your wedding night.”

Athine moved with perfect poise at the heart of the formation, her presence drawing every eye in the hall.

Aelius fingers curled, tension rising in his chest as he watched her. She was beautiful. But tonight, it was more than beauty. She was radiant, like a vision from a dream.

For a fleeting second, Athine’s eyes met his. His pulse hammered, caught off guard by a feeling deeper than anything he’d ever known.

On the other side, Marcellus found himself unable to look away from Harny and Lithia, both moving as if the music itself lived in their bodies. When their gazes landed on him, he felt a jolt, something soft, magnetic, and completely overwhelming.

Heres froze when Kliatana’s graceful spin ended with her smile turned right to him.

Cedric was just stand froze when Meira and Zania’s steps wove together and their eyes flicked to his.

While Javier snapped back to himself, startled.

Wha...?

His gaze found Liana and Gloria. They were beautiful, he knew that already. But something was different. The way they moved tonight, the flow of their dresses, the subtle energy in the air... It sent a wave through him.

He glanced around, noticing all his brothers were just as spellbound.

What is this? My heart’s racing too. But why? What’s happening?

He tried to pull away, to shake the feeling, but his eyes stayed locked.

I know this... I’ve read about something like this before. But where?

Think, Javier, before the dance ends. Where did you see it?

That old, dust-covered book he’d found in the third mine shaft. It explained the dance in cryptic detail: a technique, more than just movement, laced with hidden intent.

As the music faded, the dancers drew in, their final steps slow and reverent, heads lowered, bodies still. Silence hung thick in the hall.

Everyone include Javier, remained stunned, caught between breath and heartbeat.

Ah, shit...

Javier glanced sideways.

He noticed Fransesca smiling gracefully, with a sly hint to her smile.

Shit! This is mother’s doing. I’m sure of it. No wonder she smiled mysteriously before.

No wonder Liana and Gloria were always missing for thirty minutes to an hour every day since we got back from Arjam. I thought they were just going to the toilet or something.

This is what mother was planning all along? To make sure all her sons’ partners fall even more deeply in love.

Gih! According to the book, it’s not mind control, but something that makes the man always think about the girls, and the girls stay faithful to the man. It’s not a spell either, since it only works for people who truly love each other. It doesn’t work for one-sided love or with strangers.

What was it called?

Gihhhh! Think, Javier, think! You’re supposed to be a genius in magic, crafting, invention, everything. You have all the knowledge no one else does.

But all he could think about was...

Liana, Gloria, Felicia, Mimi, and Delya.

Hnn? I didn’t see Felicia, Mimi, and Delya on the dance... but why...?

Javier’s eyes darted, scanning the dancers again, mind racing.

No way...don’t tell me...!

He blinked, staring at the swirling illusion petals and silk ribbons, searching for familiar faces. There, just behind Liana and Gloria. Felicia, Mimi and Delya blending seamlessly with the rest.

Wait, they were here the whole time? When did they join the line? How the hell did I not notice?

He swallowed hard, pulse pounding, the realization crashing down.

So that’s it... All of them were in on this. Every single one. And I stood here like an idiot, completely blindsided. This was mother’s secret ritual. She gathered all their partners, my brothers’ and mine and made damn sure we’d never forget the women we love.

His mind flashed back to those mysterious absences. All the whispers, the soft laughter echoing from the training hall, even the careful secrecy of Fransesca’s schedule, everything made sense now.

Javier walked straight toward his girls.

He could see the hopeful light in their eyes as he approached. His brothers were doing the same, moving to greet their own partners.

Javier smiled.

Whatever... All of them... they’re mine and mine alone. I’m not letting anyone take them. Especially Liana.

All five rushed him at once, hugging him from the front, sides, and even behind, wrapping him up completely.

Across the hall, Garius watched his sons as they embraced their partners. He just smiled, pride unmistakable on his face.

Then he strode forward, accompanied by his Queens.

And with that, the great feast of celebration began at Armand Estate, spilling out to every corner of Armand and Arjam.
