Reborn As Noble

Chapter 953: The First Broadcast Nation ( 953 )

Liana and Gloria appeared, carrying coffee, tea, and a tray of evening snacks.

Javier watched them approach with a smile, then took out a holo TV cube and placed it on the ground. The cube activated, projecting a large holo screen into the air.

He linked it with Sky Eye and the mana cam he’d set up, the feed focusing on the mana rocket.

“Young master?” Liana asked.

“Just a moment, I need to set this up first. This will be the first live broadcast for all of Armand. I’m pretty sure Alf already distributed holo TV cubes to every village and town in Armand, and even to Farkam and a few towns in Arjam.”

“What’s that thing you’re setting up?” Liana asked, setting down the tea and coffee on the table while glancing at the tall wooden stand.

“Oh, this?” Javier chuckled. “I call it a podium. It’s where Father will give his speech before the mana rocket launch.”

Gloria covered her lips with her palm and let out a soft chuckle. “Do you really think Lord Garius will do that?”

Javier rubbed his hands together, grinning. “Ehehe, he won’t have a choice. He has to do it for the people.”

“Ara~ You’ll get yourself into more trouble if you do that without telling your father first.” Gloria laughed quietly, shaking her head as Javier grinned in delight.

Liana poured tea into the cups and filled Javier’s mug with coffee.

“How can you be so sure Lord Garius will come here? I doubt he’ll leave Lady Francesca right now,” Liana said.

“Ah, trust me, he’ll come. Mother, all my stepmothers, all my siblings, Alf, Erinnette, and the estate staff too. I bet they’re curious to see it. This’ll be Father’s first time seeing one of my inventions this close. I even prepared the speech script right here!” Javier grinned, showing them the printed speech, plus information about the mana rocket and its purpose.

“And since I’ve already contacted every post, and told all the city overseers and village chiefs to turn on the holo TV for the public, he can’t refuse. It’s already set up for everyone in the open areas.” Javier pulled out another item from his dimensional storage. “And this, is a mana portable computer. It lets me control which mana cam to broadcast. I’m running several cams to record from different angles, so I can switch focus as needed.”

After a while, Javier, having finished all his preparations noticed from a distance:

Francesca, Garcinia, Phenelopie, and Eridith were following Garius, with Alf and Erinnette, several estate staff, and all his siblings, coming along with their partners.

Liana and Gloria stood behind Javier, with Felicia and the others following as Javier straightened his posture.

As soon as Garius arrived, hands clasped behind his back, he looked at Javier and let out a long breath. “So this is the thing you’ve been working on?”

“Yes, esteemed father.” Javier bowed slightly. Liana, Gloria, and the others bowed politely as well.

“Why did you inform everyone without telling me first, my youngest son?” Garius’s glare was sharp.

“I’m sorry, esteemed father… I was about to tell you first, but since you were busy… I just… ehehe…”

Garius exhaled. “If Alf hadn’t mentioned that this was going to be the first live broadcast, I wouldn’t have even known.”

“I’m sorry, esteemed father.” Javier rubbed the back of his head, letting out a sheepish grin, and handed over the document.

“What is this?” Garius took it and read. His eyes widened before he masked his expression, returning to calm.

“You want me to make a speech about this? When I’m not even prepared?” Garius fixed Javier with a calm, serious stare.

Javier just grinned, looking away.

Garius read it again.

Unnoticed by the others, smirked and replied calmly, “Very well, my son. Since you insist, and this is for our people… So, where do you want me to make the speech?”

“Ah… if you can, Father, could you do it at that podium?” Javier replied, pointing.

“Very well.” Garius turned and walked toward the podium, still smirking. Alf and Erinnette followed, while the Armand maids set up seats and tables for everyone.

Inside Javier’s mind:

Ehehe… this is what you get, Father, for making me the next heir to inherit the title. Javier hid his grin as he aimed and adjusted the mana cam toward the podium, settling at the table with his mana portable computer.

Garius noticed, but remained composed. He adjusted his collar, waiting for the cue.

Javier signaled with his fingers.

Three… two… one… live broadcast.

Garius stood tall, his voice calm and resonant as he addressed the nation.

“People of Armand and Arjam,

Today, I, Garius De Armand, as head of the Armand house,

Officially announce that from this day forth, Armand shall no longer stand under the Human Kingdom. Our independence will soon be sealed in full, with the official ceremony to be held in three days’ time.

It has been my greatest pride to see our people thrive, to see every family prosper and no child go hungry. I trust that even in these days while our borders remain closed, those living near the edge of our land will hold strong and remain at ease. The Armand government will continue the Border Relief Mandate without interruption, ensuring no household suffers in this time of transition.

Today, we witness history for our nation. This is not only the birth of a new nation, but a leap forward. Let Armand be known for taking bold steps forward, leading the world in the advancement of magic and technology, and securing a future where none are left behind. We will continue to reach new heights, not just in magic, but in every field that brings honor to our land.

And now, we celebrate the work and vision of my successor, Javier de Armand. Thanks to his inventions and relentless curiosity, we step boldly into a new era. Let us witness this moment, together, as one people, one Armand.”

Javier’s eyes widened when Garius smoothly mentioned “my successor.” He saw the faintest smirk on Garius’s face as the words echoed across the estate and throughout the region.

He used this whole thing to make it official for everyone… Damn it!

Not only that, he didn’t even look at the script. Is Father more of a genius than I am? How does he make a speech like this, on the spot?

Damn! I wanted to get even, and now I’m losing to him again!

Garius continued, voice steady and unwavering, “Behind me stands my successor’s invention. A testament to Armand’s progress and promise. With it, we take another step forward, opening new opportunities for every citizen.

This is not just a symbol of advancement, but the beginning of greater prosperity: new jobs, new industries, and a future where every household can share in our nation’s success.

Let Armand be a place where anyone, through effort and talent, can find their path and build a better life for themselves and their families.

May this new era bring us together, united in hope, progress, and pride in our home.”

Javier grumbled, eyes flicking between the split screens of the mana rocket and Garius.

Shit… now Father got me, and it’s official. He glanced at his siblings, who were smirking and snickering.

Gihh! They’re all happy about this. Damn it!
