A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1327: Chapter 1328: Black Gold

The birth of Black Gold Technology has a history of a thousand years in the Xifan World.

In the new era, despite Holy Body Evolution still holding a place in several major Empires, with the strongest being revered as the National Holy Bird by each Empire, rumors of secret weapons developed within each Empire’s secret bases now possess higher-strength capable of altering the continental landscape.

Thus, each Empire, living with thoughts of science, civilization, and Cold War tension, is putting forth all its efforts to research larger scale, higher strength secret weapons.

And to accomplish all this, the fundamental resource is Black Gold!

Black Gold is a unique material under the rules of the Xifan World, often spewing from the depths of the earth as black toxic smoke. This requires a filtration reception device to convert it into Black Gold, to realize the new-era Hundred Spirits’ Black Gold Technology combat style, materializing into various battle weapons.

Due to their habits, the Hundred Spirits call these places that collect and filter Black Gold, the Hatching Garden.

The Hatching Garden is the foundation established by each Empire, being the most important resource point. Any mishap would draw the attention of the entire Empire, while the more renowned high-output Hatching Gardens are the focus of numerous Cold War Empires, where a minor spark could ignite a world war.

The Xifan World is in the final tense period before a unified world war!

The Black Gold Water Screen Projector is broadcasting news from the Hundred Spirits Nest Empire.

”A secret base in the Empire has successfully launched a brand new Dual-Power Dark Gold Weapon today, whose Dual-Core Black Gold System design will bring new changes to the Empire’s combat system, granting Hundred Spirits Empire a dominative advantage in the arms race with surrounding nations, and moreover...”

Rows of half-liquid, half-energy, half-solid black gigantic bird robots appeared on the light screen, followed closely by a series of elegantly combatting scenes.

With the enhancement of these Black Gold Technologies, soldiers can exert strengths previously unimaginable.

Another news followed.

”Reportedly, the Neutral Organization Loki Nest successfully developed a Black Gold Barrier today. According to famous Black Gold scientist Sarmis, in the future Black Gold Technology combat systems will not merely assist our bird physiques with combat boost methods but Black Gold Weapons will achieve independent combat separation, even entirely from our bird physiques, commanded by us. This will bring fundamental changes to our Hundred Spirits Evolution System, ushering in an infinitely wonderful era of Black Gold Technology explosion!”

An aging owl, wearing a small pair of glass-framed spectacles connected by a metal chain, is being interviewed by a canary.

”Yes, according to some ancient civilization studies I have found that compared to Ancient Times, our modern Hundred Spirits’ physique has significantly declined, which shows our body’s genetic evolutionary information is allowing us to continuously possess higher wisdom rather than physical strength. The combat methods combining Black Gold with the body are just a transition of our era, in the future...”

Breath! Inhale...

After blowing the steaming, aromatic coffee and enjoying a sip, the ostrich placed the coffee cup down on the coffee table with its legs crossed. ”Bang”, ”Bang”, ”Bang”, the sound of knocking came.

”Come in.”

A female woodpecker walked in softly and said, ”Governor, this is the latest document from above, requiring us to increase the Black Gold production of our Hatching Garden by twenty-five percent this month.”

”Twenty-five percent? Darn, looks like those old geezers are up to new secret weapons again. Living under this black fear that could destroy the world at any time is simply the most tragic time for us. Look at what the arms race has turned this world into; sooner or later we Hundred Spirits will vanish under the Black Gold Weapons we create.”

The ostrich slapped the folder, speaking angrily, and within its eyes was a look of worry for the nation and the people, exhausting with concern for the future of Hundred Spirits.

”Are we really happy this way? Ah...”

An expression of dissatisfaction with the world, filled with sorrow at the end.

”Indeed, isn’t our Black Gold Technology enough? Can’t this world be filled with peace and love and live freely and happily from now on? Why must there always be fighting and killing, engaging in arms races, no amount of resources can satisfy the boundless greed of the rulers.”

The woodpecker secretary echoed, with a great compassionate Mother Teresa sentiment, pitying humanity.

”If our world were filled with peace and love, then everyone could live together peacefully, how wonderful that would be! Governor, why don’t we defect, joining the World Anti-Black-Gold Research Peace Organization! This way our children in the future won’t have to live under this black Cold War cloud, we’ll use sincerity and love, to persuade this world!”

Under the Cold War pressure, some Hundred Spirits began to sprout various trends of thought.

...

”Hmm? This magic guide material...”

Green and the Three-legged Raven of Death concealed themselves, easily finding a world node in this world.

However, just as Green intended to return to the Eternal Moon World with the Three-legged Raven of Death, a large storage tank was in the city, processing and refining half-liquid, half-gas, half-energy black substance, causing Green’s Three-Colored Light Eyes to gaze over.

This is a magic guide material never seen before in the Wizard World.

This world, with its relatively primitive and backward social system, seems highly reliant on this magic guide material, developing a singular system, akin to a pyramid system civilization, to realize the fastest growth.

”Wait a moment.”

Green put away the materials meant for setting up a magic array, evidently attracted by the Black Gold of this world.

”Such properties... perfect, simply perfect!”

After studying a tiny drop of Black Gold for a moment, Green’s Three-Colored Light Eyes gleamed.

This new magic material property, if infinitely concentrated and purified, is simply the perfect material connecting the Grand World Sphere and True Spirit Balance of Light!

”Why, is the Oblivion Sorcerer’s Excellency interested in such a thing? Huh, those despicable servants made thing, why not let me collect some?”

The Three-legged Raven of Death laughed grimly, with eyes gazing at this heavily guarded, large-scale city.

”No rush, I first want to see what this high-level magic material actually is, and what functions this world around this magic guide material has developed, didn’t expect your world could create such a magical magic guide material, it’s so interesting!”

Green had even considered using the Metal Fire Seed as a bonding agent between the Staff of Truth’s staff head and shaft before!

But now after encountering this mysterious material, Green realized that compared to the Metal Fire Seed, if this material could be continuously purified, the attributes of the future Truth Balancing Staff would be more suited to him!

After all, he was not a Mechanical Wizard but an Element Surge Body-refining Wizard.
