A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1322: Chapter 1323: Xifan World

The Xifan World was renamed less than two thousand years ago.

The creatures that once lived in this world can never forget the terror of being dominated by the Death Crow Clan. It was a dark and cruel era, depicted by historians of various races as a bloody hellish history.

Historical records detail that until one day, the strongest king of the Death Crow Clan, the Three-legged Death Golden Crow King, left this world through the Gate of Space-Time to the unknown distant Different World in search of ancient treasures, the various clans dominated by the Death Crow Clan began their massive rebellion movement.

Among them, the first to lead the various races in resistance was the King of Xifan from the Tristar Vulture Clan!

Over hundreds of years, after losing the Three-legged Death Golden Crow King, the Death Crow Clan gradually lost in the resistance of many races, and the Death Empire they once established fell apart.

At that moment, the Hundred Clans entered a new era and established the Xifan Empire under the name of Xifan.

However...

The history of the Xifan Empire was short-lived. The Three-legged Death Crow, who left this world for hundreds of years, returned surprisingly at the beginning of the empire’s establishment, at a time when everything was in ruins!

The changes in the world, the collapse of the empire, and the extinction of the clans drove the Three-legged Death Crow into complete madness and hysteria.

For the Three-legged Death Crow, it was just a brief departure from the Mother Realm to participate in an unavoidable war in a distant Different World; but for the Xifan World, hundreds of years had passed.

An unprecedented great war erupted!

The Three-legged Death Golden Crow King was stronger than ever before.

However, it seemed to have suffered severe injuries while exploring ancient treasures. After returning to the Xifan World, its physical strength was severely depleted, and after killing a large number of powerful individuals from the Hundred Clans, it ultimately fell.

However, the Three-legged Death Golden Crow King was too strong. As the king of a dark era, even after falling, it was not something the kings of these barely surviving clans could kill in a short time. Once it regained some physical strength, it would undoubtedly plunge this world into endless darkness again.

Reluctantly, the equally weakened King of the Tristar Vulture Clan of Xifan, at the cost of his own life, used the Sanxingdui Seal Technique to completely seal this great figure, warning his descendants to guard it eternally.

After that, the strong individuals of various clans passed away one after another. The stronger the clan, the more heavily they suffered due to the Three-legged Death Golden Crow King’s deliberate targeting, being wiped out by once-weak clans.

Hundreds of years later, the adjacent world Trama opened the World Gate, attempting to invade the Xifan World. Though the Hundred Clans defended their sovereignty with full force, the declining Hundred Clans fell further into decay, leading the Xifan World into the Decline Era.

After this, the Tristar Vulture Clan became the World Guardians in a remote corner, inheriting the will of Xifan, guarding the Sanxingdui Seal for generations.

At the site of the Sanxingdui Seal, surrounded by mountains, lay the fragmented Ancient Battlefield. Lacking resources, it went unnoticed by the new, weak empires that arose later, desolate and barren.

As the last strong individuals of the Decline Era passed away, the new empires no longer paid attention to those ancient mythical stories and developed Black Gold Technology, fighting for resources, creating imperial hegemony, ushering in a new era.

All stories seemed to end there.

With the dawn of the new era, this world was set to embark on a radically different path due to Black Gold Technology.

However...

”The Death Feather Fan! It succeeded!”

A Death Crow, shrouded in the aura of death and one of the few tier-three strong individuals in this world, knelt in front of a cauldron in a gloomy cave, expressing sorrow and anger.

”After collecting all the feathers left behind in this world during the Three-legged Death Golden Crow King’s great battle in ancient times, we finally crafted this Death Feather Fan! With it, we will surely rescue the great Three-legged Death Golden Crow King, restore the honor of our Death Crow Clan, and let this world repeat its former glory!”

This Three-legged Death Crow roared loftily.

”We must rescue the great Three-legged Death Golden Crow King! We must restore the Death Crow Clan! We must defeat the despicable descendants of Xifan, the Tristar Vultures! We must...”

As the Death Crow roared, tens of thousands of Death Crows, large and small, gazing at the black flames inside the cave, emitted mournful cries of discontent, filled with exalted sorrow and anger.

The cave resonated with the cries, ”Caw, caw, caw,” endlessly echoing.

...

Sanxingdui is a giant mountain with gentle slopes, or perhaps an unprecedented giant tomb.

The shattered lands all around were relics of the Ancient Battlefield, with only Sanxingdui standing tall and unmoving, towering at the center of this Ancient Battlefield in the Xifan World.

”Black Gold Technology is gradually undermining this world’s rules; our strength is waning, and this fragmented world no longer endows us with greater strength.”

A female Tristar Vulture with a golden five-pointed star imprinted on her forehead murmured in a low voice.

”Lilia, don’t dwell on the past. This is a time of change; no one can stop it. We just need to remember our task, to guard the will of Xifan and ensure that the Death Demon King can never again endanger the world,”

an elder approached, standing on the branch of a towering pine tree.

”Those Death Messenger scouts have appeared once again. Every few decades, those evil and hideous Death Messengers try to break the seal. Considering the timing, they should be coming soon. During this time, we must closely guard the area, ensuring those Death Messengers don’t succeed.”

Lilia respectfully bowed her head in response to the elder’s words.

”Yes, with you here, those Death Messengers will not succeed.”

...

A few months later.

Caw! Caw! Caw! Caw! Caw...

Countless Black Crows tried to break through the defense shield above Sanxingdui, only to be shot down by the arrows of the Tristar Vulture Guardians within the shield. One body after another fell from the sky.

This kind of futile charge had happened unknown times, and except for a few instances when the Sanxingdui defense shield was nearly depleted, these Death Crows usually left behind tens of thousands of corpses and a few sneaking away, becoming despised creatures hunted by the world.

Pant, pant, pant, pant...

”Elder, the number of Death Crows this time seems exceptionally large. Should we seek aid from the outside empires?”

After shooting down crows for a while from behind the defense shield, Lilia landed atop the ancient pine, questioning the elder.

”This is the last pure land of ancient civilization. If we let Black Gold Technology enter, there will no longer be any Tristar Vultures here to inherit the great will of Xifan and guard this desolate place. If the sealed Demon King below breaks through, no one will be able to stop it, and this world will return to the blood-stained hell shadows of the ancient nightmare,”

the elder of death was saying when suddenly, outside the defense shield, amidst the commotion of many Death Crows, one Death Crow holding a Death Feather Fan ablaze with black flames appeared.

”You despicable Tristar Vultures, prepare to endure the revenged wrath of the great Three-legged Death Golden Crow King!”

With a roar, following a wave of the Death Feather Fan, billowing black flames descended.

That was the purest death aura, forming a gigantic Death Crow figure. Under the frightened gazes of the many Tristar Vulture Guardians, the Death Crow formed by this death aura flame extended a third claw, fiercely raking at the defense shield.

Puff...

A large tear was ripped open in the defense shield.
