Soul Emperor Martial God

Chapter 2201: Chapter 2198: Wo

Senior Luoo nodded.

”If you want to ask me the reason, I can only tell you that I don’t know either.”

”Back then, although I was already famous, I was not as strong as I am now.”

”Although I was strong, I had not reached my peak yet.”

”That was a time when I was not qualified to touch the secret matters of the continent.”

After speaking, Senior Luoo suddenly stood up from the table, with his hands behind his back, and slowly paced.

After a while, he reached the window sill and glanced at the vast horizon outside.

”Millions of years ago, no, it should be said even longer ago.”

”In your impressions, or rather, in the historical records passed down today, the continent during the Ancient Times was plagued by demon beasts, ruling the land.”

”The whole continent was devastated, demon beasts dominated.”

”Of course, this is correct, the facts truly were such.”

”However, human martial artists were not as pitiful as you might imagine.” Senior Luoo suddenly turned around and looked at Xiao Yi.

”During the Ancient Times, martial arts had flourished to its peak, countless talents emerged.”

”Though demon beasts were rampant, their threat spreading across the continent, human martial artists always had a place on this land.”

”During that time, there were already sects, families, various human powers.”

”Holy Moon Sect, Beiyin Palace, were among the elites; the Hidden Hundred Families, and their predecessors, were the venerable of martial arts at the time.”

”That era didn’t have numerous sects, but there were many Martial Arts Holy Lands, which were the faith and life pursuit of countless human martial artists.”

”Of course, that period, the whole continent was chaotic and tumultuous.”

”Humans, demon beasts, and some mysterious existences all ravaged and divided this land.”

”And humans were the most disadvantaged; during that time, when human martial artists traveled outside, it was much more dangerous than now, life-threatening at any moment.”

”And it was also during that period that countless human strongmen emerged from desperate situations.”

”However, this was not enough.”

”In short, that era, those years, were very chaotic, a hundred times more than you imagine.”

”And precisely at this time, eight human strongmen rose like Liuu Xing, joining together to establish the Eight Palaces.”

Senior Luoo gradually intensified his tone, ”Do you think the Eight Palaces only shined in the late Ancient Times?”

”The true Eight Palaces, during the Ancient Times, underwent countless trials, numerous tempests.”

”With the establishment of the Eight Palaces, the eight Masters of the Main Hall swept across the continent in a very short time; resisting demon beasts externally, uniting families internally.”

”After that, the period belonging to the true test of the Eight Palaces.”

”Demon beasts realized the rise of humans and began to unite more ferociously.”

”And besides demon beasts, as I said previously, there were some strange and mysterious existences; these two were the enemies of the Eight Palaces at the time.”

”With the formation of the Eight Palaces, human territories began to expand, finally ushering in hope for human martial artists.”

”But it was also at this time.” Senior Luoo’s eyes suddenly turned cold.

”At that time, those Martial Arts Holy Lands, individual sects, Hidden Hundred Families, surprisingly began to detach from the Eight Palaces, no longer caring about resisting demon beasts.”

”You can imagine how tough the Eight Palaces were during that period.”

Xiao Yi frowned, ”Including Holy Moon Sect and Beiyin Palace?”

”Correct.” Senior Luoo nodded, ”These two sects were even older than the Eight Palaces, also with formidable power.”

”During that period, Holy Moon Sect and Beiyin Palace were abundant with strongmen.”

”Why did they suddenly detach?” Xiao Yi asked in confusion.

”What do you think?” Senior Luoo asked in return, ”You can imagine during those chaotic years, fighting against ferocious demon beasts, how many strongmen would fall each day?”

”Almost every battle, every day, the corpses of human martial artists piled like mountains, in exchange for the near demise of the demon beast army.”

”Which sect, which power, would want their martial artists to continuously die, their power continually weaken?”

”However, ultimately, heaven didn’t close the paths for people.” Senior Luoo smiled.

”All Martial Arts Holy Lands, sects, Hidden Hundred Families, halted the battles.”

”The eight Masters of the Main Hall, desperately rallied, calling on all top martial artists across the continent to stand united against demon beasts.”

”It was from then on, the war gradually neared its end.”

”Both sides almost arrived at the final battle.”

”The events that followed, you know, as recorded, the final battle of Ancient Times, shattered the sky and cracked the earth.”

”The eight first-generation Masters of the Main Hall, countless Eight Palaces ancestors, and countless top martial artists of the continent fell then, but they indeed eradicated the demon beast threat.”

”The result was a severe loss of Martial Arts Inheritance, marking the end of the Ancient Times.”

Xiao Yi’s face was full of amazement.

During the Ancient Times, numerous secrets truly existed.

Who could have imagined those years were so tumultuous?

Senior Luoo continued, ”You are ultimately to inherit the Eight Palaces, so these secrets, I tell you today in their entirety, you should know these matters.”

Xiao Yi steadied his shocked heart, after a while, asked, ”What about the matter of the Holy Puppets?”

Senior Luoo said in a serious tone, ”You can imagine during those chaotic years, countless unreasonable things happened.”

”But of course, their occurrence must have reasons.”

”Holy Puppets were once lauded as the strongest weapon against demon beasts.”

”Human martial artists relied on them, impervious to weapons, greatly enhancing strength.”

”But precisely at that time, when human martial artists were weak, with demon beasts ruling the continent, these Holy Puppets were suddenly destroyed by the top martial artists of the entire continent.”

”There must be reasons within.”

”I just don’t know.”

”I once heard a rumor then.” Senior Luoo’s eyes narrowed, ”It is said these Holy Puppets went against the will of heaven.”

”The heavens do not permit the existence of these Holy Puppets.”

”The truth and reasons, I am unsure.”

”But, even after destroying countless Holy Puppets, countless Holy Artifacts, how did human martial artists manage? They still produced eight strong ancestors who guarded this continent through sheer will.”

”Defied the heavens?” Xiao Yi squinted, ”This heaven wishes to eradicate human martial artists? Then what’s the use of heaven? It should simply be trampled, broken, split apart.”

Senior Luoo chuckled, strolled back to the table again, his fingertips moving with Primordial Power.

As his fingers moved, a character was etched on the table.

Xiao Yi stood up, stepped forward, and glanced, ”Wo?”

”Correct.” Senior Luoo nodded, ”No one knows the surname or name of the family that created the Holy Puppets.”

”They were extremely low-key and mysterious.”

”Moreover, when that family was in its prime, I wasn’t born yet, it was the desolate years of the Ancient Early Stage.”

”But, in the Ancient Times, what circulated about this family was this character.”

”This character is the clan emblem of that family.”

Xiao Yi nodded, after a while, pondered, then let out a bitter laugh.

”Senior Luoo has said so much, yet I always feel like you are holding back, stopping short of telling me something.”

”For example?” Senior Luoo asked with a light smile.

Xiao Yi smiled bitterly, ”I don’t know how to say it, but knowing you, this is precisely how you are now.”

”Also, regarding the Holy Puppets, why did they end up in the hands of the Evil Lord Mansion?”

”According to my comparison and judgment, the Evil Lord Mansion doesn’t have the background to touch the level of secrets of the Holy Puppets.”
