Reverend Insanity: Dream Gu

When Lin Yan turned his attention back to Flame Sovereign Blessed Land, a hint of satisfaction appeared in his eyes. Everything had developed just as he had expected.

The blessed land’s economy now relied on three main sources. The first was more than a dozen Immortal Grade resource points, worth around one thousand immortal essence stones each year. The second was over one hundred Mortal resource points, worth four to five hundred immortal essence stones each year. The third was the Netherfire Dragon Python and Yi Huo Spider, together worth another four to five hundred immortal essence stones each year.

Altogether, Flame Sovereign Blessed Land should have produced nearly two thousand immortal essence stones each year. However, every immortal material produced by the Immortal Grade resource points was consumed by the Feed the Flame killer move to increase Lin Yan’s Flame Path dao marks. None of it could be sold. As a result, the immortal essence stones he could actually obtain each year came only from the remaining two sources, totaling around one thousand.

During those three years, Lin Yan also activated the Blazing Prosperity killer move. The blessed land’s production rose dramatically. Even after deducting everything consumed for cultivation, it still accumulated immortal materials worth nearly five thousand immortal essence stones. At the same time, Flame Sovereign Blessed Land condensed seventy beads of green grape immortal essence every year. After deducting the immortal essence consumed by various killer moves, Lin Yan’s reserves had grown to six hundred and fifty beads of green grape immortal essence.

In short, cultivation resources were no longer a concern. The only thing that could truly strain his finances was refining Immortal Gu.

”If a single Earth Calamity has brought me such enormous gains...” Lin Yan’s thoughts stirred. ”What if every one of the thirty Heavenly Tribulations and Earthly Calamities at Rank Six could do the same?”

The thought lasted only a moment before he shook his head. That was simply impossible.

This Earth Calamity had brought Lin Yan astonishing gains, but he knew they were impossible to replicate easily. Flame Sovereign Blessed Land had already accumulated a deep foundation before the tribulation. Without that foundation, the harvest would never have been so great.

Lin Yan understood just how difficult that would be. The size and foundation of a blessed land were limited. Even with the Ten Extreme Physique, Flame Sovereign Blessed Land had already reached its bottleneck after years of rapid expansion. From now on, every improvement would require far more time and effort than before.

Even so, Lin Yan was already satisfied. His next goal was simple. Purchase a large quantity of Flame Path immortal materials from Treasure Yellow Heaven and continue increasing his Flame Path dao marks.

Before that, however, there was still one matter to deal with. Lin Yan still owed Sun Cu a debt.

Just as Lin Yan was about to send a message through Treasure Yellow Heaven, he suddenly sensed a familiar aura approaching.

A moment later, Sun Cu appeared outside Blazing Yellow Heaven Pit.

_______

Blazing Yellow Heaven Pit.

Lin Yan sat cross-legged upon a crimson cloud, its fiery glow supporting him in the air. Opposite him sat Sun Cu, his brows tightly furrowed, unable to hide the worry on his face.

Lin Yan looked at him and asked, ”Brother Sun Cu, what troubles you?”

Sun Cu let out a long sigh. ”In another month, I will have to undergo my second Earth Calamity. My blessed land’s foundation is too weak, and I’m afraid I won’t survive it.”

Lin Yan immediately understood. Sun Cu had become a Gu Immortal more than a year ago. With Stoneheart Blessed Land’s time flow of fifteen to one, nearly twenty years had already passed inside the blessed land. It was only natural that his second Earth Calamity was approaching.

”I once longed to become a Gu Immortal, believing I would finally be free from the struggles of Mortals and Gu Masters. Looking at it now, perhaps it would have been better if I had never become one at all. Tribulations are like the shadow of death, always hanging over our heads. How can a Gu Immortal truly live without worry?”

Sun Cu sighed once more before looking at Lin Yan with a solemn expression. ”Brother Lin, I hope you can lend me a helping hand.”

Lin Yan chuckled. With a casual wave of his hand, eight hundred sparkling immortal essence stones poured out, piling into a small hill between them.

Sun Cu’s eyes instantly widened. His gaze remained fixed on the pile of immortal essence stones, unable to pull away.

”This is the payment I owe you for refining my Immortal Gu,” Lin Yan said calmly. ”As for your second Earth Calamity, since Brother Sun has come to me for help, I will naturally do everything within my power.”

Joy immediately appeared on Sun Cu’s face. ”Thank you, Brother Lin. I will repay this favor. I’ll cover all the immortal essence you consume during the tribulation, and in addition, I’ll give you another hundred immortal essence stones.”
