That Day When Suzuki-kun Wasn't the Mob-B!

While Finn and Akeno took a dangerously long time to join them for dinner, Xenovia, Irina, and Asia certainly didn’t complain. In fact, sitting safely in the warm, brightly lit dining room of the shrine, they were grateful just to be alive.

Furthermore, the lavish spread prepared by Akeno and Finn’s private chefs was absolutely incredible. The table was loaded with rich, home-style Japanese dishes: thick curry, crispy karaage, fresh salads, savory nikujaga, and a massive, beautiful platter of high-end sushi.

”This...” Xenovia murmured, staring intensely at the sushi. ”Is it genuinely safe for us to consume this fish raw?”

”Yes,” Finn nodded, seamlessly dropping back into his polite, corporate persona. He picked up a slice of fatty tuna with his chopsticks, lightly dipped it in soy sauce, and ate it. ”It’s quite good. The logistics team flies the seafood in fresh daily.”

”Well...” Xenovia reasoned pragmatically. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Xenovia hesitantly tried a piece of salmon. The moment the rich, buttery fish melted on her tongue, her stoic facade completely shattered. It tasted infinitely better than the stale bread and flavorless rations she was used to. Throwing caution to the wind, she practically inhaled the rest of the meal, eating with the aggressive, focused intensity of a bodybuilder trying to bulk up.

”The rice! The curry! Oh, Lord, I missed real Japanese food so much!” Irina practically wept tears of joy as she shoveled curry into her mouth.

It had been years since Irina had lived in Japan. Following her father—a high-ranking Church official—she had bounced between London and the Vatican for most of her life. While her family was relatively well-off, Church doctrine strictly mandated a life of severe frugality and modesty. Luxury was considered a sin. Yet what healthy, energetic young woman doesn’t secretly crave a taste of luxury?

Meanwhile, Asia possessed vastly superior table manners. She ate delicately, chatting intimately with Akeno about the meal.

”Did you really make all of this yourself, Akeno-san?” Asia asked in awe.

”Not everything, but I prepared quite a few of the dishes,” Akeno smiled warmly.

”It tastes absolutely amazing, Akeno-san!”

”Ara ara, you really are such a sweet girl, Asia-chan,” Akeno giggled, her violet eyes softening. She picked up a small dish and offered it. ”Here, try these. They are fresh pickles I made this morning.”

”Mmm! They’re delicious!”

”Fufufu... what a good girl.”

Watching the innocent blonde nun, Akeno mentally nodded in absolute approval. Yes, this girl will make a perfect addition to Finn-sama’s Peerage. When selecting a Peerage member, raw magical potential was necessary, but personality and affinity were equally vital. They would be spending centuries together, after all. Furthermore, Akeno wasn’t naive. She knew exactly how men operated. If Finn was explicitly inviting a breathtakingly beautiful, innocent young woman into his inner circle, he undoubtedly harbored some lewd intentions toward her.

Eventually, Asia would likely become one of his mistresses. Seeing how incredibly gentle, well-behaved, and completely submissive Asia was, Akeno was deeply satisfied. Finn had made an excellent choice.

”....” Finn calmly chewed his food, deliberately ignoring the degenerate thoughts swirling behind his Queen’s sweet smile.

As for Xenovia and Irina? Akeno barely spared them a glance. They were far too idiotic to be considered long-term threats to her hierarchy.

”.....” Xenovia and Irina glared at Akeno, perfectly aware the busty Devil was looking down on them, but they wisely kept their mouths shut and continued eating.

After finishing his meal, Finn casually peeled an orange for dessert and turned his golden eyes toward the nun.

”So, before we finalize this,” Finn said, his voice dropping into a serious, formal tone. ”Let me ask you one last time, Asia. Do you truly wish to become a Devil?”

”Yes, Finn-sama,” Asia nodded respectfully, acknowledging the gravity of the decision. She naturally adopted the formal honorific. While it might sound a bit distant to modern humans, proper etiquette was absolutely vital in the Underworld. It smoothed over communications and established a clear, highly respectful hierarchy.

”Let me briefly explain how the Evil Pieces work so you fully understand what you are agreeing to,” Finn said.

Finn had never bothered to explain the system to anyone but Akeno before. Because he belonged to the deeply conservative Great King Faction, he had zero interest in participating in ’Rating Games’—the televised, highly political combat tournaments used by young Devils to measure their strength and elevate their social standing.

Finn simply didn’t need to play their games. He already possessed overwhelming, Ultimate-Class strength, a terrifying economic monopoly, and the absolute political backing of Zekram Bael.

To Finn, the Evil Pieces weren’t tools for a game; they were a recruitment system. He used them strictly to gather an elite, highly trusted group of followers to help manage his vast empire. It was an exclusive inner circle. He currently possessed 15 vacant spots, and he was absolutely in no rush to fill them. Unlike the other desperate young heirs, Finn alone was more than enough to dominate everything on his own.

Furthermore, Finn’s true power wasn’t limited to his Peerage. Every single Devil residing in his vast territories in the Underworld was his loyal follower. He offered them secure jobs, fair wages, and absolute protection. In contrast, the lives of commoner Devils in other territories were often horrifyingly brutal—many were forced into slave labor or forced to offer their bodies to arrogant nobles just to survive.

Because Finn offered absolute, uncompromising security, his followers would gladly die for him. That level of systemic, secure, and stable dominance deeply unnerved Xenovia. He was an entirely different, vastly more terrifying breed of Devil than she had ever imagined.

”When the piece integrates with your soul, you will instantly gain the biological perks of a pureblood Devil,” Finn explained smoothly. ”You will gain the ability to manifest wings and fly, enhanced physical durability, and the innate ability to fluently speak and understand every language on Earth.”

”Wow...” Asia gasped softly.

”But, just as there are massive perks, there are also biological downsides,” Finn raised a single finger, his golden eyes locking onto hers. ”First and foremost, you will become inherently weak to holy weapons, light-based magic, and anything blessed by the Church.”

”Okay?” Asia tilted her head, not entirely grasping the severity of the warning.

”Asia,” Finn leaned forward, his voice softening slightly. ”I saw you earlier today. You pray constantly, don’t you?”

”Yes, Finn-sama,” Asia nodded honestly.

She prayed every single day of her life. It was a deeply ironic devotion. Despite giving her entire heart and soul to God, she had been treated horrifyingly by His followers. Was this truly how the Lord treated His most devoted subjects?

Still, Finn knew the harsh reality. The Biblical God of this universe was dead. It was completely natural for prayers to go unanswered. While the Archangel Michael currently managed the divine ’miracle system,’ it was highly flawed and heavily biased. Miracles were usually granted to those with high political standing within the Church, leaving innocent girls like Asia to suffer.

”If you accept this piece and become a Devil,” Finn stated bluntly, delivering the absolute truth, ”you will no longer be able to pray to the Biblical God. If you attempt to pray or touch a holy cross, your own body will violently reject the holy energy. It will burn you from the inside out.”

He paused, letting the heavy reality sink in. ”I am asking you one final time. Are you truly okay with giving up the light?”

”...”

Asia blinked her beautiful green eyes. She fell completely silent, staring down at her lap for a long moment.

Then, she slowly looked up, meeting his golden eyes with absolute, unwavering resolve.

”Yes, Finn-sama,” Asia nodded firmly. ”Please reincarnate me into a Devil.”

Why was her conviction so incredibly strong? Why didn’t she hesitate to abandon the faith she had held her entire life?

Because sitting right in front of her was someone more tangible, more important, and infinitely kinder than a silent God. Finn had saved her from death. He had shown her genuine happiness. He had offered her absolute protection and a choice. While she knew she could never pray to heaven again, it didn’t matter. She had found her own personal savior right here on earth.

”Alright then,” Finn smiled, genuinely moved by her absolute trust.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a glowing, crimson Bishop Piece. He stood up, stepping close to her. With a smooth, practiced motion, he pressed the piece directly against the center of her gentle, swelling chest.

”I claim you as my Bishop.”

”Hmh~!”

Asia let out a sudden, incredibly seductive, breathy moan as the demonic energy violently surged into her soul. A blinding flash of dark crimson light enveloped her. Two small, leathery black Devil wings violently tore out from her back, instantly shredding her modest nun’s habit to pieces, revealing her pure, white cotton undergarments to the entire room.

”.....”

Finn, Akeno, Xenovia, and Irina all stared at the panting, half-naked blonde in absolute, stunned silence.
