Wild Crazy Male Lead's Forced Love, You Don't Want, I Want!

102: Thirsty Skin Actor 12Wen Ci hadn’t expected her first visit to the set as Mrs. Shen to cause such a stir.

Shen Ji was currently filming a major production, and the director was famously strict in the industry, maintaining strict discipline on set, even requiring media visits to be applied for a month in advance.

But when Wen Ci, wearing a baseball cap and carrying a homemade bento, appeared at the entrance of the set, the security guard didn’t even ask, simply smiled and let her through:

”Mrs. Shen, Mr. Shen is currently filming with Group A.”

She was taken aback: ”You know me?”

The security guard chuckled, pointing to his phone: ”It’s been trending for three days, who doesn’t know you?”

Wen Ci’s ears flushed, and she quickly walked inside with her head down.

On set, Shen Ji was filming a difficult fight scene.

He wore a black tactical suit, his fringe wet with sweat, his jawline taut, each punch and kick carrying a sharp whoosh, making him look strikingly handsome and captivating.

The moment the director yelled ”Cut,” he casually wiped away some sweat, and as he turned, his gaze suddenly fixed on a spot not far away.

Wen Ci was standing by the side of the set, holding an insulated container, and she blinked at him.

Shen Ji’s eyes visibly softened.

”Mr. Shen, one more take for this scene?” The assistant director came over with the script, but found that Shen Ji was already striding towards the edge of the set, his steps even lighter than usual.

”Half an hour break,” he said, without looking back.

Everyone on set looked in his direction, and a collective gasp immediately followed—

”It’s Screenwriter Wen!”

”Oh my god, she’s even more beautiful in person, absolutely stunning!”

”Mr. Shen’s gaze... I’m dead.”

Shen Ji walked up to Wen Ci, directly took the insulated container, and with his other hand, wrapped his arm around her waist, lowering his head to kiss her lips: ”Wife, why are you here? You should have slept in longer, after all, you were tired last night.”

Wen Ci pushed him, her face red: ”Shen Ji, so many people are watching...”

She was indeed tired; Shen Ji hadn’t let her rest for even a single day recently.

And not just once a day.

”Lawful husband and wife, what’s there to be afraid of?” He chuckled softly, his finger intimately brushing the tip of her nose, ”Did you make it yourself?”

His heart melted into a soft mess.

So home could be this warm; his wife loved him so much.

He loved her so much too.

So happy, so joyful.

Although Shen Ji still seemed quite serious, his heart was practically soaring; if he had a tail, it would definitely be wagging wildly.

”Mhm, you’ve been too tired filming fight scenes recently, so I stewed some soup...” Before she could finish, Shen Ji had already opened the lid, and the aroma instantly wafted out, immediately followed by envious ”wows” from around.

Shen Ji scooped a spoonful, but instead of drinking it himself, he offered it to her lips: ”Wife, you have the first bite.”

Wen Ci smiled and instinctively opened her mouth, but his wrist twisted, and the soup went into his own mouth.

”Shen Ji!” She was stunned for a moment, then angrily stomped on his foot.

Shen Ji chuckled, hugging her tighter, and whispered in her ear: ”I was tricking you, of course the first bite of soup made by my wife goes to her husband. The soup is delicious... but not as sweet as my wife.”

A chorus of good-natured teasing immediately erupted around them.

Wen Ci buried her face in his chest, blushing, but Shen Ji embraced her openly, raising an eyebrow at everyone on set: ”My wife is shy, please forgive her.”

The director walked over, holding a teacup, a teasing look on his face: ”Mr. Shen, in this state, can you still play a cold-blooded killer later?”

Shen Ji’s expression remained unchanged: ”Director, I suggest we change it to a romance.”

The whole set burst into laughter.

In the afternoon’s filming, Shen Ji’s performance was astonishingly good.

A shot that originally required five takes, he nailed in one, and even the director couldn’t help but tease: ”Sure enough, it’s different when the wife comes.”

Wen Ci sat behind the monitor, watching Shen Ji in the shot; he was wearing a suit, holding a gun with an elegant yet dangerous posture, his eyes as cold as ice, a completely different person from the clingy man he was moments ago.

But the next second, the director yelled ”Cut,” and his gaze instantly locked onto her, a smile playing on his lips, as he strode over and slipped a candy into her hand.

”Mr. Shen, your persona is collapsing a bit severely,” Wen Ci unwrapped the candy, deliberately teasing him.

Shen Ji bent down and bit the candy from her hand, his tongue subtly brushing her fingertips: ”Only for you.”

A female actress nearby couldn’t help but cover her face: ”Help... Is this really Actor Shen?”

The script supervisor mumbled softly: ”I’ve worked with him on three shows, and this is the first time I’ve seen him smile so much...”

After work, Shen Ji took Wen Ci to a cast dinner.

Initially, everyone was a bit reserved, as Shen Ji was known for his aloofness in the industry, but tonight he held Wen Ci’s hand the entire time, peeled shrimp for her, poured drinks, and even when sauce got on the corner of her mouth, he leaned down and wiped it off with his thumb, then... licked it off.

The entire room fell silent.

Wen Ci froze, her earlobes so red they looked like they might drip blood.

Shen Ji, however, remained calm, turning to the stunned crowd and explaining: ”It’s a habit.”

”Boom—”

The dinner instantly turned into a massive ’shipping’ party, the atmosphere immediately relaxed, and everyone started chatting freely.

The assistant director, tipsy, raised his glass: ”Mr. Shen, I used to think you were an AI who had achieved sentience... Now I believe it, you really are human!”

Shen Ji raised an eyebrow, put his arm around Wen Ci’s waist, and kissed her cheek: ”Mhm, and now I’m a human with a wife.”

Wen Ci covered her face and wailed: ”Shen Ji! Where’s your cold and aloof persona?!”

He chuckled softly, leaning in to whisper in her ear: ”You ate it long ago.”

Everyone laughed heartily again.

That night, #ShenJiPersonaCollapse# and #ActorShen’sPostMarriageStyleShift# both topped the trending searches.

Fans frantically saved pictures while exclaiming:

[Help... The way he looks at his wife is truly intense...]

[He used to be an iceberg, now he’s a volcano...]

[I’ve seen Screenwriter Wen’s previous dramas, she’s really excellent! And so beautiful, they’re simply perfect for each other!]

[For a moment, I don’t know who to envy, and I can’t help but wonder how beautiful their children will be!]

The internet was abuzz with discussions, while at this moment, Wen Ci, the subject of the discussions, was being ’called to account’ by a certain someone on the hotel sofa.

”Today on set, did that male actor stare at you for too long?” Shen Ji nibbled her collarbone.

”No way! He was clearly focused on filming...”

”During dinner, the director complimented your beauty, and you blushed.”

”That was because it was hot, there were too many people!”

”Oh?” His fingers slid under her clothes, ”What about now? Is it hot?”

Wen Ci couldn’t speak, because her lips were already sealed.

Outside the window, the city lights flickered, and inside the room, their night had just begun.
