Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure

Though it didn’t seem like they were happy with the solution, they still accepted that this was the only solution that we had right now.

Which meant that right now, there was only one thing that everyone was thinking of.

”How long will it take to install this?”

The way that they asked this question was very casual, but the implications behind it wasn’t anywhere near that. After all, this was something that all of them wanted to install in their countries.

If they could be more selfish, then these representatives would have chosen to install this barrier around their private property.

After all, it was only with this barrier that they would feel safe.

So that was why they wanted to be the first ones that had the barriers installed.

Even if the competitors were the empires, they still wanted to get ahead of them.

I could see from the looks on their faces that all of them seemed like they had things they wanted to say. There was no doubt that these would be excuses...reasons why they should be the first to have this barrier installed.

However, I just calmly said, ”This isn’t something that can be installed that easily. This is something that will take time to install in every single one of your countries.”

The representatives didn’t seem happy to hear this, but it wasn’t as if there was anything that they could complain about.

The only thing that they could ask was, ”How long will it take to prepare for construction? At the same time, what will be the cost of constructing something like this?”

Even though they all belonged to the racial alliance, they didn’t think that something like this would come for free.

The resources that were shared by the racial alliance were still purchased from each other since there was a need for this. It wasn’t as if just because there was this threat, no one cared about their livelihoods.

The racial alliance was all about protecting those livelihoods in the first place.

It wasn’t as if the racial alliance was about to take goods from people just in the name of protecting the entire continent. If that was to happen, it was unlikely that anyone would support the racial alliance.

A racial alliance like that was nothing more than a gathering of bandits.

Which was why there had to be some kind of compensation that was offered in return for services to the racial alliance. This was the bottom line that everyone agreed to when they came together to form the racial alliance.

Still, it wasn’t as if the prices that they paid were that high since everyone understood that this was for the good of everyone.

This wasn’t the reason why they were asking the price.

There were some that were hoping that they would be able to use more money to convince me to build the barriers in their countries sooner.

”There won’t be a price or anything, it’ll be a service that will be offered to all the countries. It’s just that it is something that will take some time to prepare since the materials are living creatures.”

I gestured at the bugs that were still forming the barrier as I said this.

There were strange looks that appeared on the faces of the representatives when they heard this, but they didn’t deny what I said. After all, it was hard to deny it when the proof was right there in front of them.

Still I had to give them a bit of hope.

”However, with the method that I’m devising, I should be able to set up these barriers at the same time. All that it will require is to transport the materials there and you will have to take care of them when the barrier isn’t being deployed.”

More strange looks appeared on the faces of these representatives, but they soon disappeared as they realized what I meant by this.

Since the material that was being used to form these barriers were living creatures, then they would need to be taken care of when they weren’t in use. It wasn’t as if they would remain in one place all the time.

But since they were living creatures, it meant that there was more flexibility when it came to the barriers. Since they were living creatures, it meant that they weren’t fixed to one spot like magic barriers were.

As this thought passed through their minds, there were looks of deep thought that appeared on the faces of the representatives.

It didn’t take a genius to think of all the possibilities that came with having a flexible barrier like this.

This was certainly better than just building a barrier that would only protect one place.

”We’ll build the best facilities to house them.”

Once they came to terms with this, there was no hesitation that came from the representatives as they made this promise.

I gave a nod to show my agreement, but there was something else that I had to add.

”Other than facilities to take care of them, we will have to send you refills of divine energy from time to time to make up for what is lost. Since they’ll be sent all over, we can’t maintain the connection over long distances and we will have to send refills of divine energy.”

The fact that this wasn’t something that could hold infinitely was not something that the representatives were happy about, but they still accepted it since they knew that these things were normal.

If there was something that could protect them forever, then it would seem a bit too broken.

There was nothing that lasted forever in this world...

After coming to terms with this, the representatives from the smaller countries all agreed to these terms and asked me to send the bugs as soon as possible.

Only the representatives from the empires could see that there was something off about this deal.

They looked like they had something that they wanted to say to me.
