Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure

”What is the situation with the war between the four empires and the demons?” I asked Chris and Leon who we asked to join this meeting.

The two of them revealed awkward expressions when they heard this question.

Neither of them seemed like they wanted to say anything. But in the end, it was Chris that said, ”The situation isn’t looking good. It wasn’t a problem for the forces of the four empires to deal with the demons, but it seems like the demons have started to change. There are those that are close to immortal just like the ones that we fought.”

”Close to immortal?” That was the one part that caught my attention.

After all, I knew that the only way to take care of these demons filled with this corrupted energy was to purify them with holy magic or sacred relics.

There was no need to mention the Holy Empire, but it was different for the other three empires of the human race. They didn’t have access to the same holy magic and relics that the Holy Empire had, so how did they defeat the demons?

Chris hesitated a bit more after hearing this, but he eventually said, ”There’s a way to take them down without holy magic or sacred relics. It’s just to beat them until they run out of that corrupted energy.”

”Eh?” A strange look appeared on my face after I head this and I looked at him as if I was trying to figure out if he was being serious or not. However, it doesn’t seem like he was kidding about this with the look on his face.

The four empires were certainly strong enough to do such a thing and it wasn’t strange that the corrupted energy would eventually run out, it just felt strange to hear that these powerful empires would actually use such a crude method.

Still, there was no denying how effective it was in dealing with the demons.

Since they had their own way of dealing with the demons, it wasn’t as if it was a bad thing.

At the same time, I could see that there was something that Chris seemed to want to say to

me.

However, I just ignored him.

”Have there been any other movements from the demons?” I asked him before he could ask me anything.

Chris shook his head quite easily this time.

He quickly gave a report on the actions of the demons during this period of time, it didn’t seem like he had any hesitation in doing this.

It even seemed like he was a bit too eager to do this. He even seemed to be stressing how it was hard for the four empires to hold back the demons during this time.

I just acted like I didn’t hear any of this.

It was easy to figure out what he was trying to say, but I didn’t want any part of that. After all, we had just finished a battle of our own, so going to provide support...wasn’t the best idea.

There was no telling how we would be implicated if we were to get ourselves involved in the main battle.

Since there was nothing that was coming for us, that meant that we should have a chance to develop our power while we still could.

There were still other things that I wanted to do as well.

The scene of the imp being devoured by the corruption energy had left a deep impression on me. After all, it was just that one imp that had been devoured by the corruption energy even though all of the imps were together.

It seemed that what had happened was because of some kind of trigger.

Though it wasn’t that hard to guess what that trigger was.

It had only happened when the imp gave up and was about to spill everything.

The more surprising thing was that someone was even able to set up a trigger like this. They weren’t here, but they were able to kill the imp just like this, which meant that they had some way of monitoring the imp from afar like this. It wouldn’t be strange if they had the ability to monitor all of the imps or even all of the demons from afar if they wanted to.

So the strange thing was why they didn’t kill all of the demons that had been captured.

If they were able to kill them from afar, why didn’t the one that controlled the corruption energy just kill all of these demons to tie up loose ends?

It didn’t seem to make any sense at all.

”Are you doing any research on the demons and the corruption energy right now?” I asked Chris all of a sudden.

Chris and Leon were both caught off guard when they heard this before slowly nodding in agreement.

They had orders to tell Zwein certain things and this was included in those certain things. I didn’t care that they hesitated as I said, ”Then take some of the demons back to the Holy Empire for me. I’m sure that they would want a chance to work with some live samples.” Chris and Leon were surprised again, but they slowly nodded with serious looks on their faces.

They knew that even though it would be risky to do something like this, it was a risk that was necessary. There was just too little information on the demons and this corruption energy right now, so anything they could do would help.

With that settled, I didn’t keep them here any longer as I had Puffer come and see me.

She was the one that I had left all of the studying the demons to, so I wanted to hear from her what she had found.

”Nothing. I’ve tried all kinds of experiments, but I haven’t found a single consistent result yet. It’ll take a while before I can get anything useful.” Puffer said in a calm voice, as if she

didn’t care.

A bitter smile appeared on my lips, but I slowly nodded in agreement.

This kind of thing couldn’t be rushed, so all I could do was wait for her to give me results.
