Chapter 1428: Chapter 1428: A Little Bit of Suffering

The nurse looked up and saw Ouyang come in, suddenly standing up and saying, ”Doctor Ou, why are you here?”

She looked at his slender fingers, her face slightly flushed, remembering the sensation just now.

Doctor Ouyang’s hand had touched her just now, right?

Ouyang smiled slightly, ”What do you think?”

His handsome appearance, paired with that smile, made him look like a sunny big boy, adding more charm.

The nurse just felt her heart race and her breath become uneven. My god, could Doctor Ouyang be interested in her?

So he came over to help her with the patient’s wound specifically?

”It’s not good to trouble Doctor Ou, after all, you’re busy with work. I’m afraid to delay your matters,” the nurse declined, but her heart was sweet.

Ouyang said plainly, ”It’s alright, helping a beautiful lady with such blood type matters is something every gentleman should do.”

Hearing this, the nurse’s heart bloomed with joy, almost wanting to sigh dreamily—Doctor Ouyang is just so manly.

Zhuang Shaoyang looked at the two in disbelief; is the hospital now so casual? Doctors flirting with nurses right in front of patients, what kind of professionalism is this.

The young people today really know how to play; he, the older generation, can’t keep up with them.

With a cold face, he said, ”Please help me with my wound.”

Hearing this, the nurse’s expression changed, she coughed lightly, ready to continue cleaning Zhuang Shaoyang’s wound.

But Ouyang had already sat across from Zhuang Shaoyang, holding medical cotton to disinfect him.

”Ouch...” Zhuang Shaoyang exclaimed in pain, glancing at Ouyang, was it intentional?

The nurse cleaning just now didn’t hurt this much.

Unfortunately, Ouyang didn’t even glance at him and continued disinfecting.

The nurse’s attention was all on Ouyang, almost holding her face in admiration, completely missing Zhuang Shaoyang’s expression.

As a big man and a former soldier, how could Zhuang Shaoyang willingly admit weakness?

Finally, the wound was cleaned, and Zhuang Shaoyang was already numb from the pain.

Who would’ve thought, Ouyang’s next words made him even more hurt.

”This wound is rather deep, a simple application won’t heal quickly. I suggest stitching it.”

Zhuang Shaoyang glanced at the wound on his hand, frowned, and said, ”There’s no need to make a fuss, just apply some medicine.”

Ouyang’s handsome face fell, and he said, ”Since you don’t trust doctors, why see a doctor at all?”

Zhuang Shaoyang, ”...”

He said nothing, why was this doctor getting angry? Doesn’t the patient have the right to choose?

The nurse beside him chimed in, ”Doctor Ouyang wouldn’t be wrong; I also think stitches would heal faster, this wound is really deep.”

Zhuang Shaoyang glanced at the nurse; he remembered her saying something different before.

As if knowing what he was thinking, the nurse explained, ”I don’t have as much experience as Doctor Ouyang. He graduated as a top student from a prestigious foreign university, hired here as our hospital’s chief physician at great expense.”

Saying this, she couldn’t help but sneak a glance at Ouyang, eyes full of admiration.

Regrettably, Ouyang didn’t look at her at all; he casually looked at Zhuang Shaoyang and said, ”Those are just superficial. I’m a doctor; I won’t do anything to harm the patient. Of course, if you don’t believe me, there’s nothing I can do.”

Of course, letting some people endure a bit of minor hardship doesn’t count as violating medical ethics.

Listening to him speak, Zhuang Shaoyang couldn’t refute further, lest he be looked down upon.

”Alright, let’s stitch it then.”
