A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 1348: Chapter 1348: Mu Family Members

”Thank you, Aunt.” Mu Yan nodded towards Ruan Xinyu, then looked toward Zhuang Zeyang beside her, ”I appreciate you and Uncle coming all this way to pay your respects. I thank you on behalf of Mu Chen.”

”It’s the least we can do. He is your brother, which makes him half a member of the Zhuang Family.” Zhuang Zeyang remained as stern as ever, ”Take care of yourself.”

”I will.” Mu Yan nodded.

Zhuang Shaoyang stepped forward, seeing his daughter had lost weight and felt heartache, ”Nuannuan, such a big event, why didn’t you call Dad...”

”Thank you for coming to pay your respects.” Mu Yan bowed, interrupting Zhuang Shaoyang.

Zhuang Shaoyang gave a silent, bitter smile; even to this day, she was unwilling to forgive him.

He still advised, ”If anything happens, tell Dad. We’re family, no need to be formal.”

”Thank you.” Mu Yan thanked him again but did not agree to what he said.

As more people continued to arrive for condolences, the Zhuang Family didn’t linger and moved forward to find a place to rest.

Jiang Jingheng stayed close to Mu Yan; her family was here, and he naturally needed to take care of things, eventually leading the Zhuang Family personally.

Many people from the entertainment industry came this time, and although they knew Jiang Jingheng was Mu Yan’s husband, they couldn’t help being surprised when they saw him.

So this is what Jiang Jingheng, the top diamond bachelor of Upper City, looks like.

He is known for his handsome looks, aloof nature, and cold personality, far and wide.

Thus, when they saw him personally attending to a group of Zhuang Family members, everyone felt somewhat surprised.

However, some recognized Zhuang Yi, realizing this was Mu Yan’s ”brother,” who caused a stir online some time ago, naturally deducing that these were Mu Yan’s family.

A business mogul being so humble, in part due to the Zhuang Family’s status, also showed he valued Mu Yan highly, and naturally her family as well.

Since morning, people had been coming and going without end.

The entire place was solemn, with everyone’s expression serious to show respect.

Mu Yan knelt there, returning the gestures mechanically.

It was unclear how much time passed when a crying voice reached her ears.

”Chenchen, my poor child, you died so tragically.”

Some guests were about to leave when they suddenly saw a group barging in with an aggressive demeanor, stepping aside to make way.

Zheng Shufen, Mu Zhiguo, and others ran to the memorial, collapsing on the ground, ”sobbing bitterly,” and started wailing.

Inside the funeral home, guests were shocked by the commotion and looked over.

Mu Yan frowned slightly, really not wanting any disputes with these people today, disturbing Mu Chen’s spirit in peace.

Jiang Jingheng had already heard the news and sent over bodyguards to remove Zheng Shufen, Mu Zhiguo, and the rest.

Zheng Shufen, being a street-savvy woman, was adept at making a scene.

Since the incident came to light back then, their family’s life had been extremely challenging; not only did they lose their jobs, but everywhere they went, they were talked about, like mice crossing the street.

They did want to find Mu Yan, but unfortunately, there’s no way to get close to her, not to mention they’re also afraid she would take revenge, given that Mu Shijun’s fate said it all.

But their lives were too harsh to continue without change.

It happened that they heard Mu Chen passed away, so these ”relatives” had to appear to show mourning and attempt to mend fences with Mu Yan.

They heard Mu Yan married a wealthy man, with even a fraction of wealth enough to ensure they never worry about food or clothes for life.

Now that Mu Chen is deceased, no matter how much Mu Yan dislikes them, thinking of Mu Chen as their blood relative, she should forgive them, right?

”What are you doing?” Zheng Shufen shook off the bodyguard’s hand, ”I am Mu Chen’s aunt, here to pay respects, you have no right to lay hands on me.”

She said this, looking at Mu Yan, ”Yanyan, the past incidents were misunderstandings. Now that Chenchen is gone, our family should stick together even more closely.”
