A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 1338: Chapter 1338: Departure

Mu Yan prepared the luggage the night before last, two large suitcases, one for her, one for Jiang Jingheng.

Initially, she hadn’t planned for Jiang Jingheng to accompany her, considering his busy work schedule. But he mentioned that he happened to have a business trip to the United States, so they might as well travel together. She couldn’t find a reason to oppose.

Moreover, even though she was confident about Mu Chen’s surgery, she couldn’t help but worry at times. With him by her side, she would have fewer concerns.

For this trip, Jiang Jingheng directly used the family’s private jet.

Apart from Mu Yan and her husband, as well as Kong Lizhen, Luo Yao and Qin Xi were also accompanying Mu Chen.

Since Qin Xi was going, it was unlikely for Ning Ze, this tail, to fall behind.

Song Cheng’an, needing to discuss collaboration with a director in the United States, expressed a desire to hitch a ride with them.

Mu Yan knew everyone was creating momentum for her and Mu Chen, boosting their confidence, and she was naturally grateful.

After the plane took off and stabilized above the clouds, Mu Chen suddenly wanted to see the sky above the clouds.

Mu Yan and Luo Yao helped him stand up to look out the window.

It was a sunny day, with clouds spreading below, a vast expanse of white stretching endlessly.

As for the sky, it was too bright due to the reflection of the clouds, losing its beauty and becoming somewhat dazzling.

”Chenchen, stop looking, be careful of your eyes hurting,” Mu Yan advised.

Mu Yan looked at her and smiled, ”Sis, I didn’t know we could see such a thick layer of clouds from the plane. It’s so beautiful.”

”Once you’re better, you can ride as many times as you want.” Mu Yan said, smiling.

Mu Chen smiled quietly, didn’t speak, and gazed out the window, his eyes filled with a hint of hope.

He wished so much for time to freeze at this moment, so they could keep watching endlessly.

Not long after, Mu Chen got tired, and Mu Yan and Luo Yao helped him to rest.

Mu Yan yawned, preparing to rest for a bit, when she noticed Ning Ze diligently handing fruit to Qin Xi, but Qin Xi did not take it and seemed indifferent.

”Xi Xi, have a bite,” Ning Ze pleaded, looking at her.

”I said I don’t want it, so stop pestering me.” Qin Xi glared at him, full of impatience.

Ning Ze wanted to say something else, but seeing her displeased expression, didn’t dare persist and felt somewhat frustrated.

Qin Xi withdrew her gaze, just noticing Mu Yan not far away, who smiled at her and then looked out the window.

Ning Ze placed the fruit down and walked to the back.

Mu Yan came over, sat in his seat, and asked, ”What’s going on between you two again?”

”Nothing,” Qin Xi replied coldly, not wanting to elaborate.

If it were someone else, Mu Yan wouldn’t ask further, but whether Qin Xi or Ning Ze, they were both very important friends to her.

She probed, ”Don’t tell me you’re thinking of breaking up with him again?”

”Who said that? It’s just that I’m not worthy of Second Young Master Ning!” Qin Xi frowned, ”I told him I wanted to break up, but he disagreed, stubbornly clinging to me. Anyone unfamiliar might think I’m interested in the Ning family’s money. Even if things are rough for me, I never planned on marrying into wealth and becoming a parasite.”

”I know, our Queen Qin is the most independent and capable,” Mu Yan said with a smile, ”So, what’s the real issue?”

Qin Xi glanced at Ning Ze not far away, who was staring over, full of an ingratiating expression.

Her originally firm resolve softened at this moment, and she whispered, ”It’s nothing, just that we’re not suited for each other.”
