A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 1306: Chapter 1306: Taking the Initiative

Due to Mu Chen’s sudden coma, Mu Yan stayed with him at the hospital for several days before he finally insisted she go home and rest.

Mu Yan indeed hadn’t rested well these days, so at Mu Chen’s insistence, she didn’t force herself to stay, but she gave him another round of nagging before leaving.

Once she left, Mu Chen immediately called Lin Jiamu.

Luo Yao watched him act so secretively and asked, ”You sent your sister away just to see Lin Jiamu?”

”Yeah, they’re not on good terms. How awkward would it be if they ran into each other here?” Mu Chen said bluntly.

Luo Yao shot him a suspicious glance, ”Since you know your sister doesn’t like Lin Jiamu, why do you still hang out with him?”

She knew Mu Chen; the most important person in his heart was always Mu Yan, even more than her.

Of course, she never thought about comparing herself to Mu Yan.

Mu Chen was momentarily stumped but then said, ”Why are you asking so many questions? You should go home and rest too.”

”If I leave, won’t you be alone in the hospital?” Luo Yao frowned, ”I don’t feel comfortable with that.”

”Isn’t there a nurse here?” Mu Chen said, ”You go home first, and come back in the evening. Brother Jia Mu will be with me during the day.”

Luo Yao wanted to say something more, but Mu Chen immediately said with a stern face, ”Two grown men having a private conversation, do you really want to eavesdrop?”

Luo Yao, ”...”

In the end, she couldn’t argue with him.

Back at the villa, Mu Yan rested for a few hours, then woke up and browsed Weibo out of boredom, discovering someone had exposed her identity.

Mu Yan’s sister: I’m sure everyone’s curious about Mu Yan’s relationship with Zhuang Yi. She’s Zhuang Yi’s cousin and my half-sister. Back then, my mom and dad were deeply in love, but Mu Yan’s mom came between them and took my father away, leaving me as the illegitimate child. Her mom died early, becoming my father’s untouchable memory, while my mom and I couldn’t even compare to a fraction of them.

For her sake, my father denied twenty years of romance with my mom, and now we’ve been kicked out of the house, but she’s basking in family love.

I want to ask, Zhuang Xiangnuan, don’t you feel guilty for taking everything that should have been mine?

There’s a saying, what goes around comes around. It’s not that vengeance doesn’t come, it’s just not time yet.

Seeing this Weibo post, Mu Yan found it amusing, Zhuang Chujiao came at her self-righteously without her even provoking.

Mu Yan called Song Cheng’an to ask if there had been any reports about her lately.

That’s when she learned that Zhuang Yi’s identity had been exposed, and someone found out that the chairman of Shaoyang Group, who clarified the lewd photos recently, was his uncle.

Then, many people in Beijing learned about the Zhuang family’s affairs. The original wife leaving and the mistress taking over—such a scandalous tale of the wealthy quickly spread.

Unless he was a fool, the chairman of Shaoyang Group wouldn’t voluntarily clear up the lewd photos and take all the blame on himself, unless there was an unavoidable reason.

Plus, the photo Zhuang Yi posted of them together openly showed them under one roof.

So, it was easy for netizens to deduce that Mu Yan was the daughter of Zhuang Shaoyang and his original wife.

Mu Yan now understood why Zhuang Chujiao sent out this Weibo post, intending to strike first.

After all, their ages alone prove Zhuang Shaoyang’s unfaithfulness to Liang Rong, with Zhuang Ning being the evidence of an affair, at least that’s how Zhuang Chujiao saw it.

Mu Yan said to Song Cheng’an, ”Brother Song, thank you, I’ll handle this matter.”
