A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 765: Chapter 765: Stirred Intent

Liang Rong was about to go up when sharp-eyed Ruan Xinyu spotted her.

She said, ”Ah Rong, Nuannuan is coming back tomorrow; is her room all tidy?”

Liang Rong paused her steps, then walked down with a face full of smiles, ”Everything is ready. If Nuannuan is not satisfied when she comes back, I can change it according to her wishes.”

”Why hasn’t there been any news from Jiaojiao recently?” Ruan Xinyu asked again, ”Is she safe out there by herself?”

”She’s doing well, being taken care of by relatives, no worries,” Liang Rong replied, unable to resist glancing at the old man and old lady, hoping they might relent.

Last time, Zhuang Chujiao ran away from home in a fuss, really angering the old lady. When the old man came back and heard the news, he didn’t intend to let her return at all.

Zhuang Chujiao, with her princess temper, knew too well going back would strip her of her dignity, so she simply didn’t return, waiting for the family to relent.

But she underestimated the authority of the head of the household, so now, she couldn’t find a way back.

”Dad, let Jiaojiao come back. Nuannuan will be home soon,” Ruan Xinyu advised, ”Though Jiaojiao can be immature, she’s still Nuannuan’s sister, and the two sisters should meet.”

These words made the old lady a bit soft; no matter how she disliked Zhuang Chujiao’s princess temperament, she was still her granddaughter.

”Let her come back, children need to be guided!” The latter part of the old lady’s sentence was directed at Liang Rong.

Liang Rong quickly said, ”Mom, don’t worry, when she comes back, I’ll surely discipline her well.”

”Alright.”

In Upper City, at the IOC event site, after finishing an interview, Mu Yan ran into Ning Shishen.

”I wonder if I have the honor of inviting you to lunch?” Ning Shishen asked.

Afraid she wouldn’t agree, he added, ”And discuss the contract renewal by the way.”

Mu Yan pondered for a moment and said, ”For the renewal, it’s better to discuss with Brother Song, I don’t really understand these things.”

”What, afraid I’ll trick you?” Ning Shishen chuckled.

Mu Yan quickly waved her hand, ”I didn’t mean it that way, he’s the manager, it’s better for you to talk to him.”

”Alright then, I’ll talk to him next time.” Ning Shishen smiled. ”Shall we have lunch now?”

Mu Yan apologized, ”I’m sorry, I still have volunteer work this afternoon, I have to hurry over now.”

”Volunteer work?”

”Yes, teaching some kids how to draw,” Mu Yan replied.

Ning Shishen looked at her in surprise, ”But your hand...”

Mu Yan looked at her left hand, smiled, ”It’s fine now. I teach the kids to draw and practice myself at the same time.”

”Are you planning to keep drawing?”

”Of course, the heavens gave me a hand to depict beautiful scenery, it mustn’t be wasted.”

Ning Shishen looked at her confident smile, vaguely feeling she seemed a bit different, as if she were more cheerful than when he first met her.

”Indeed, are you interested in continuing as my designer?”

Mu Yan looked at him in surprise, ”Can I?”

”Who says you can’t, have you forgotten your last design? The sales are still at the top of the charts.”

Mu Yan laughed, ”Maybe it sells well because that product is inexpensive.”

”Then you’re even more suited for design. Our products are priced entirely based on labor and materials. You can make the most of the materials without losing the aesthetic touch, which is far better than those who only know how to create complex designs and seek attention.”

Mu Yan blushed from his praise. She didn’t realize she was so great.

Of course, she was also a bit tempted by what he said.

She loved oil painting but also had an interest in jewelry design. If she wasn’t too busy filming, she could indeed try it out.

”Alright, let me think about it.”

”Sure.”

Ning Shishen watched her hurriedly leaving figure, feeling slightly relieved, at least they shared some common interests.
