A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 732: Chapter 732: Settle the marriage early!

In the Ning Family’s living room, Mrs. Ning looked at her eldest son entering and immediately said, ”You should quickly speak to your brother; does he even make sense? Leaving the girl hanging in the café and not even showing up.”

She appeared to be in her forties, well-maintained. Ning Ze’s delicate features clearly come from her, showing she was very beautiful when she was young.

Ning Ze looked at his mother with impatience, ”I’ve already told you, I have a girlfriend; it was you who insisted on introducing someone.”

”Then why don’t you bring your girlfriend back for me to see?” Mrs. Ning sneered, ”Do you think I don’t know you? Claiming to have a girlfriend just to avoid blind dates.”

”Who said I was lying?” Ning Ze argued.

”Haven’t you lied enough? I won’t indulge you this time. Uncle Zhou’s daughter has both education and family background, and you still dare to look down on her. It’s already good enough she hasn’t looked down on you.” Mrs. Ning had a frustrated expression.

Ning Ze scoffed coldly, ”Yeah, you know I’m not good enough for her, so why introduce her to me.”

Mrs. Ning’s face turned ashen, ”Are you trying to anger me to death?”

”Ning Ze, say less.” Ning Shishen suddenly said.

An expression of impatience appeared on Ning Ze’s face. He stood up and looked at Mrs. Ning, ”Big brother isn’t married, so why are you constantly pushing me? Do you have nothing better to do?”

After saying this, he went straight to the second floor.

”You, come back here!” Mrs. Ning shouted at him.

But Ning Ze had already gone upstairs, and soon, with a ”bang,” a door slammed shut.

Mrs. Ning was so angry she wished she could drag him back for a beating.

”Neither of them lets me rest easy. They’re all grown up, yet not thinking about settling down. When will I ever get to hold a grandchild?”

These words also were directed at Ning Shishen.

Ning Shishen paused for a moment, speechless for the time being.

Mrs. Ning turned her head to look at him, ”Are you going to be like your brother and anger me too?”

”Mom, affairs of the heart can’t be forced.” Ning Shishen said with a furrowed brow.

”So I’m always the bad guy?” Mrs. Ning said, laughing angrily.

”That’s not what I meant.”

”Then when are you getting married?” Mrs. Ning pressed.

Ning Shishen paused for a moment and said, ”Mom, I have an engagement.”

”What engagement? We don’t even know where that girl from the Zhuang Family is now. Will you never marry if she never appears?” Mrs. Ning said irritably.

She always admired her eldest son’s calm and steadiness, but he always used the engagement as an excuse to refuse marriage.

It’s the modern age; she’s not as stubborn as he is.

”Mom, I’ve found her.”

Mrs. Ning’s expression changed slightly, looking at her eldest son, ”Really?”

”Yes.” Ning Shishen nodded, ”I just had dinner with her.”

Ning Shishen’s mood changed from worry to joy, ”Really? Why didn’t you bring her home? I haven’t seen that girl in over ten years. Does she look the same as when she was a child?”

”She’s busy, and she looks quite the same as she did when she was little.” Ning Shishen replied.

Mrs. Ning finally relaxed, ”Since you insist on fulfilling the engagement, now that Nuannuan has been found, you should get married, right?”

”It’s a bit complicated.” Ning Shishen slightly frowned.

”What is it?” Mrs. Ning looked at him in surprise.

”Her relationship with the Zhuang Family is a bit strained.” Ning Shishen replied.

Mrs. Ning, thinking about something, sighed, ”No wonder it’s strained. That child is also pitiful. When did you find her? Was she doing well when you saw her?”

”She’s doing quite well; she’s very outstanding.”

Mrs. Ning showed some satisfaction on her face. Her eldest son has always had high standards, and if he says she’s doing well, then she indeed must be doing well.

”Bring her over sometime for me to see, and settle the marriage soon.”
