My Twin Dao Companions Are Reincarnated Empresses

Coming out of his cave abode, Gu Yuan was met with a scene of pure wonder.

His cave abode was moving.

Yes, it was literally moving, shifting position across the landscape.

And the one responsible for it was the silver-haired woman in the sky.

Gu Yuan took out his flying treasure and flew toward her. Standing beside Ji Yue was another woman dressed in plain, modest clothes. She had a quiet, composed bearing, with the restrained presence one would expect from a maid who had spent years serving others.

He might have hesitated to approach Ji Yue before in front of others, but with his wedding soon to take place and everyone will come to know about his relationship with the twins, there was no longer any need to hide it.

Before he could ask Ji Yue what she was doing, however, Gu Yuan received another surprise when he looked down at the sect from above.

It had become completely unrecognizable.

Previously, the Inner Sect had been in the middle, surrounded by the five peaks, with the Outer Sect beyond them. The entire layout had formed something resembling an O.

Now, everything had changed.

Nine peaks surrounded the Inner Sect from behind in the shape of a C, while the Inner Sect remained in the middle and the Outer Sect had been moved to the front.

All of these changes had happened during the six months he had been cultivating.

”How hardworking...” Gu Yuan muttered in amazement.

Ji Yue chuckled. ”Well, I’m in a hurry. I can’t wait until Yan makes a mistake and the wedding ceremony loses half of its meaning.”

Understanding the meaning behind her words, Gu Yuan coughed awkwardly and quickly changed the subject.

”Anyway, what do you intend to do with my cave abode?”

”Its location became a little awkward after the modifications I made to the sect. Along the way, I’m also renovating our home.”

Gu Yuan nodded before glancing at the residence beside them.

”Then why are you moving the Sect Master’s residence so close to mine?”

”Because I plan to fuse them together,” Ji Yue said with a small smile.

Her brief explanation didn’t tell him the whole story. She wasn’t doing this simply because the Sect Master’s residence was impressive and leaving it unoccupied would be a waste. The real reason was that the entrance to the secret realm was located beneath it.

That was what she actually needed to relocate.

Either way, Gu Yuan didn’t mind. It was just that cultivating inside his cave abode while Ji Yue was carrying out all these modifications around him seemed impossible now.

Maybe that was fine.

He had been planning to leave the sect anyway and find a suitable place to break through into the Spiritual Core Realm.

Gu Yuan’s gaze then shifted toward the woman standing beside Ji Yue.

”This is?”

”She is a maid of the Ji Clan.”

Maid? Ji Clan?

Gu Yuan blinked. Instead of asking any further, he appraised the woman.

[Threads of Providence]

Name: Ruxi

Age: 2620

Cultivation: Unity Realm, Fourth Stage

Spiritual Root: Earth and Wood Root (Earth Grade)

Providence: Medium

Special Note: Ruxi, a maid of the Ji Clan. Separated from the twin daughters of the Ji Clan after they fled the Yunhai Continent, she is quite happy that, after such a long time, she has finally returned to their side.

Now, what kind of bullshit was this?

Unity Realm? Why the hell was the first Unity Realm cultivator he had ever seen working as a maid?!

Paying no attention to his fragile feelings at the moment, Ji Yan arrived and said, ”So you finished constructing an Array Formation to the Yunhai Continent? I thought it would take you longer.”

”I was working on it while you were fighting outside. It was completed one week ago. The others will arrive soon too,” Ji Yue explained.

Ji Yan nodded calmly. Beside them, Ruxi, who had clearly been waiting for her chance, stepped forward and looked at Ji Yan with a soft, deeply respectful gaze and said, ”Greetings, Young Miss. It is an honor to serve you again.”

Everything seemed to be moving too quickly for Gu Yuan. His mind had nearly stalled from the succession of revelations, but after finally putting the pieces together, he managed to ask, ”So, you weren’t born in this Canglan Continent but came from another one? And there, you’re actually members of a major cultivation clan?”

He wanted to confirm the conclusion he had reached.

”Yes, we were born in the Yunhai Continent. You weren’t there, so we came here,” Ji Yue briefly explained.

They had crossed the sea to another continent when they were still young, at a time when their cultivation probably hadn’t even reached the Golden Core Realm.

How was that even possible?

Gu Yuan had read enough about the sea to know how dangerous it was, not to mention how far such a journey should have been. For a moment, he was at a loss for words.

But then, thinking about their true identities, he quickly calmed down.

Right. For two reincarnated Empresses, what was crossing a continent? Nothing seemed impossible for them.

With that thought, Gu Yuan turned his gaze toward a large platform not far from his cave abode.

Earlier, when his eyes landed on it, he knew it was a teleportation array. He had wondered why the formation was so complicated, but now he understood.

It was a teleportation array connecting two continents.

Who else was going to come from there?

Just as Gu Yuan was wondering about that, the array formation suddenly lit up, and a group of cultivators emerged from it.

Gu Yuan’s attention did not linger on the women dressed similarly to Ruxi, who were probably maids as well, nor on the cultivators in unified armor who looked like bodyguards. Instead it fixed on the mature woman walking at the head of the group.

She bore a striking resemblance to the twins beside him.

To confirm his suspicion, Gu Yuan quickly used his ability.

[Threads of Providence]

Name: Su Yulan

Age: 9163

Cultivation: Tribulation Realm, Ninth Stage

Spiritual Root: Wind Root (Heaven Grade)

Providence: High

Special Note: Su Yulan, the wife of the patriarch of the Ji Clan in the Yunhai Continent and the mother of the Ji Yan and Ji Yue. While happy to finally meet her hard-to-deal-with daughters again, she is also worried about their chosen Dao companion and whether he is truly the right one for them.

Apparently, thirty years after getting together with the twins, he was finally meeting his mother-in-law!
