Divine Emperor of Heavenly Destiny

Lu Chao’s voice, from the finish line, echoed back up the mountain path.

Instantly, on the mountainside, Senior Sister Sky Cliff trembled. Her spirit felt as if it had been jolted by some incredible force. Still reeling from Lu Chao’s solo charge, she subconsciously stood up.

She responded to Lu Chao with a sharp cry, ”Charge!”

With that command, Senior Sister Sky Cliff was the first to draw her sword and charge down the slope toward the mountain path.

The Sky Cliff Academy students followed close behind. The students from the other Small Institutes with them also charged out, almost without thinking.

It was all because of Lu Chao. They had forgotten their previous fear and anxiety.

They charged down from their high ground.

In everyone’s minds, the thought was the same: ’If Fake Lu Chao could rampage through here all by himself, these blockers are nothing to be afraid of!’

That’s right. Lu Chao’s actions gave the students of the Small Institutes a delusion of their own. They no longer feared the University Institutes of the Seven Great Flame Countries. Their fighting spirit was cranked to the max.

The only thing in their eyes was... battle!

As the hundred or so students from Sky Cliff Academy charged, Li Wumian blurted out, ”What the hell?”

At the same time, amidst the chaos, the dumbfounded blockers stammered, ”An... an ambush?”

They still hadn’t recovered from Lu Chao’s charge. They stared blankly as the students of Sky Cliff Academy descended upon them. And then, those closest to the charge were simply... AHHHHH!

Shrieks and agonized screams erupted together...

Senior Sister Sky Cliff led the charge, taking down several people on the spot. The others streamed down after her, ready to fight!

In the blink of an eye, the scene devolved into even greater chaos, filled with constant screams.

The tall man from Weihu looked back and shouted, ”It’s an ambush! Sky Cliff Academy is ambushing us! Quick, get on the defensive and kill them!”

Finally, the blockers managed to react amidst the chaos. They ignored Lu Chao and rushed toward Sky Cliff Academy...

Individually, they were still stronger than the students from the Small Institutes.

Once the blockers reacted, the Sky Cliff students could no longer break through. In fact, the situation quickly turned perilous for them.

A female student from Fox Flame shouted, ”How dare you ambush us! We’ll kill you, you trash!”

The words had barely faded when Lu Chao, who seemed to have been forgotten, spoke again. ”Dong Yuan, enter the field! Charge!”

Dong Yuan was the name of the second academy lying in ambush on the mountainside...

Following Lu Chao’s command, war cries erupted from another part of the slope as another team of over a hundred people charged out.

In an instant, Sky Cliff Academy’s crisis was averted. The blockers were all completely stunned.

Before they could regroup, Lu Chao let out another low roar. ”The remaining three academies, charge together!”

As his voice fell... ”Charge!”

The last three academies led their teams charging out from three different corners of the mountain path.

It was as if five long dragons were piercing into the blockers’ ranks from five different directions. Caught completely off guard, the blockers couldn’t hold on at all as endless screams rang out.

Suddenly, Senior Sister Sky Cliff seemed to remember something and shouted, ”Charge! Charge for the finish line like your lives depend on it! Go!”

She had said before that they needed at least ten students to cross the finish line to guarantee they passed the first trial.

Instantly, the charge from the five academies became even more ferocious.

「At the finish line...」

The seven vice deans of the Inner Courtyard stood with their mouths agape, staring at the scene before them, completely dumbfounded.

It had turned into a massive, chaotic battle, and it looked like the twenty University Institutes were about to be routed.

Finally, Li Wumian snapped back to his senses and roared furiously, ”This bunch of trash! We have to stop them now! We can’t let them break through!”

He hadn’t tried to stop the twenty University Institutes when they were blocking the path, but now that he saw this battle, his first reaction was to intervene.

After speaking, Li Wumian began to move. He stared at Lu Chao’s back on the finish line, his hatred unending.

However, the Lion Flame Vice Dean took a few steps forward and said, ”Brother Li, that’s not a good idea. It would be a violation of the rules.”

Hearing this, Li Wumian whipped his head around and said coldly, ”What violation of the rules?”

”Who allowed them to charge and ambush like this in the first trial? This is cheating!”

He spoke as if it were a matter of course and was about to move forward again, his eyes still locked on Lu Chao’s back.

’Should I just strike Lu Chao with a palm right now...?’

However, just as Li Wumian was stubbornly about to step over the finish line, just as he was getting closer and closer to Lu Chao... SWOOSH!

A group of people suddenly rushed out from all directions. They were members of the Order Enforcement Team. They swiftly blocked Li Wumian, separating him from Lu Chao at the finish line.

Instantly, Li Wumian froze. The six other vice deans of the Inner Courtyard, each with their own thoughts, were also stunned.

The compromisers who had already reached the finish line were also stunned.

As for Lu Chao, who had his back to the seven vice deans...

A slight smile touched the corners of his mouth beneath his mask. He thought to himself, ’It seems the academy’s Order Enforcement Team isn’t under Guan Zanyi’s control after all. They must be people who handle things impartially.’

Of course, Lu Chao had noticed Li Wumian getting closer, and he had also noticed the Order Enforcement Team Members gathering nearby.

He didn’t move because he wanted to see what the academy’s Order Enforcement Team would do...

Would they be impartial, or would they be full of bias and selfish motives like Guan Zanyi?

If they were impartial, Lu Chao could proceed with his established plan. But if they were also biased and targeted him...

...then Lu Chao would have no choice but to tear the heavens down.

But now, it was obvious the academy’s Order Enforcement Team intended to be impartial. They had already blocked Li Wumian.

After being stunned, Li Wumian’s face twisted beneath his mask. ”What are you doing? As members of the Order Enforcement Team, you dare to block me?”

Just then, a calm voice drifted down from the sky...

”Of course we have to block you...”

”During the meeting before the Beast Flame event began, it was made very clear. The responsibility of the Order Enforcement Team is to ensure fairness and justice. Whether it’s a student, an instructor, or any high-ranking Beast Flame personnel, we must stop anyone who breaks the rules.”

”Vice Dean Li, you cannot interfere in the first trial, nor can you take a single step over the finish line.”

As the voice faded, everyone looked up at the sky.

They saw a Flying Bird Demon Beast descending, the voice coming from atop it.

Li Wumian stared at the person standing on the Demon Beast’s back and said coldly, ”Marquis Longyin, as I just said, who allowed this charging and ambushing? This is cheating...”

Hearing the name ’Marquis Longyin,’ Lu Chao also looked at the handsome, middle-aged man on the Demon Beast’s back and thought, ’As expected, someone from the Dragon Flame Kingdom.’

It was just as he’d thought; aside from the Dragon Flame Kingdom, no one would give him, Lu Chao, any semblance of justice.

Marquis Longyin rode the Flying Bird Demon Beast down to a lower altitude. He looked toward Lu Chao and nodded in greeting.

Then his gaze turned incredibly sharp as he looked directly at Li Wumian...

”What a joke. If someone blocks the road, of course someone else will charge through. How is that cheating?”

”If you insist on calling something cheating, then the ones who cheated first were the blockers. Who allowed them to tyrannically block the path and rob people during the first trial?”
