Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 3416: Chapter 3416: Finally, There’s Food

”Stop right there.”

An Jiuyue glanced at the two men who were obviously suffering and spoke to the man who had been protecting her.

She genuinely didn’t feel anything. The baby in her belly was different from Little Nuonuo; she was pregnant with her second child and was still able to eat and drink, with her cultivation level even subtly rising.

Bear in mind, when she was pregnant with Nuonuo, she lost all her cultivation level and was almost like a useless person.

And now, walking in the desert, she didn’t feel any pressure, not even the heavy steps that Bai Yan and the others had mentioned. This caused Qian Jiyun needless worry.

Upon hearing An Jiuyue say to stop, Qian Jiyun immediately took out a large sun canopy from the space, along with tables and chairs, food, fruits, pastries, and dishes prepared by Wei Na before entering the desert.

”Finally, some food.”

Seeing the table full of food, Hong Tianxu’s eyes were filled with tears of gratitude.

Every day lately, he often felt hungry enough to eat an entire cow, so seeing food made him want to cry.

Earlier, he even wondered if he entered the desert alone, would he die of starvation due to food scarcity. He asked his brother about it and received an answer that indeed, some people have starved to death in this place because of food shortages, unable to get out until their last breath.

As expected, even in places without demonic beasts, there are dangers, and one should not enter lightly.

Without waiting for An Jiuyue and Qian Jiyun to say anything, Hong Tianxu picked up a peach from the table and started devouring it.

Before entering the Endless Desert, he would still politely offer them to start eating first when Qian Jiyun took out the food. But now, facing hunger, who cares?

Besides, there’s so much food on the table, they wouldn’t be afraid of not having enough; if not enough, they could still take out more.

An Jiuyue looked at Hong Tianxu’s appearance like a starving ghost reincarnated and couldn’t help but laugh. Was he really that hungry? Why didn’t she feel the same?

Could it be that her baby is too considerate of her and has shielded her from feeling anything she should have?

”Bai Yan, you should eat too.”

Qian Jiyun glanced at Hong Tianxu’s ravenous behavior and spoke to Bai Yan.

These past days, he also felt hunger in his belly, not very strongly but still noticeable, and could empathize with Bai Yan and Hong Tianxu.

He guessed that the lower one’s cultivation level, the greater the consumption in the Endless Desert. Among the four of them, Hong Tianxu had the weakest cultivation level, so every day he seemed like a starving ghost reincarnated, his eyes turning red at the sight of food.

However, he turned his head to look at his wife.

He felt hunger, yet An Jiuyue seemed oblivious; could there be a problem?

Could her senses be simply blocked, and she might genuinely feel hunger without realizing it, potentially causing aftereffects on her body in the future?

”Jiuyue, you...”

”Don’t worry, I’m really fine.”

When An Jiuyue noticed the man’s gaze on her, she already knew what he wanted to say, so she comforted him before he could finish.

”I am very aware of my own body. This Endless Desert truly has no impact on me.”

Just like Wei Na theorized before, maybe the water and soil of the Endless Desert suit her so well that there’s no effect at all. Or perhaps the Endless Desert intimidates the weak and fears the strong, thinking she’s an easy target, so it doesn’t try anything against her.
