Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 3134: Are There a Lot of Children?

Moreover, in the desert, your sense of direction is already poor, and if you take the wrong path, it would lead to inevitable death.

During their rest, the men began inquiring about the destination of this mission, wondering where it might be and if there would be any danger.

However, no matter how they probed, they couldn’t find out anything, and the unease in their hearts slowly grew.

”Why are they bringing children? Look over there, aren’t those all children?”

Previously, the children and men had been separated by the disciples of the Saintess Sect and had not encountered each other. Now, someone finally saw those children, and even though there were only a few, their crying was still very loud.

”I hear a child crying, it sounds like a boy.” Someone wondered aloud.

The Saintess Sect is made up entirely of female disciples; even if a disciple had a child, a boy would be discarded and not raised in the Sect, so how could there be boys?

”I heard it too. How are they doing a mission while bringing children? Whose child did they bring along?” Other men chimed in, saying they heard it too.

But some of them didn’t think too deeply, assuming a man recruited by the Saintess Sect for the mission brought his child along.

”The disciples of the Saintess Sect are becoming more considerate, letting them bring children along into the group; it’s just causing trouble for everyone.”

”Exactly, bringing a child on such a long journey, what’s the point?”

The group murmured among themselves, feeling that the man who brought a child was inconsiderate, causing trouble for everyone.

Of course, there were also sensible people who thought the crying sounded odd, frowning as they glanced at the others. ”Why do I feel it doesn’t sound like just one child crying?”

Did he mishear? It sounded like several children crying to him. Could one child’s crying meld seamlessly like that? And with different pitches?

”I don’t think it sounds like just one child’s crying. Are there many children in this group?”

Upon hearing that, a few sharp-eared men agreed. Throughout the journey, the disciples of the Saintess Sect kept them separated from the people at the back, and he didn’t know if those at the back were people or ghosts.

Could the group at the back be all children?

”I saw the horse carriage at the back before, and it looked a lot better than ours. Could it be... all for the children?” someone whispered, raising their suspicion.

Children, why would they bring children on a mission? Do they have too much to eat?

Everyone’s expression soured due to the children’s cries. Everyone knew what bringing a large group of children meant—those people were being sent to their deaths.

In the Seasonal Moon Plane, it wasn’t unheard of for such things to happen. During that incident, how many children died? How many families were shattered?

”How about I go take a look.”

Someone suggested, feeling that something bad was happening.

”Absolutely not.”

As soon as he spoke, several people next to him stopped him.

Were they tired of living? Could they, ordinary folks, casually investigate the affairs of the Saintess Sect? They had no status or background.

Moreover, although the disciples of the Saintess Sect appeared gentle, they were ruthless.

They were just there to complete a task and earn some money; they didn’t want to risk their lives. That would be too costly.
