Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 1081: Chapter 1123: A Carefree Life

The doctor took the test report handed over by Huo Junmo, looked it over, and then smiled, ”Mr. Huo, don’t worry, Mrs. Huo is perfectly normal, and the baby is developing very well! As for the size of the belly, it varies with each person’s pregnancy. A big belly doesn’t necessarily mean a big baby; it could be due to anterior placenta and posterior placenta! You just need to make sure to come for the regular check-ups as scheduled in the maternity check-up book! Anyway, as things stand now, Mrs. Huo is in great shape, no need to worry!”

Upon hearing this, Huo Junmo finally sighed in relief, ”Okay, thank you, doctor!”

The doctor smiled and said, ”No need to thank me, it’s what I should do as a doctor!”

After Huo Junmo finished his questions, Ling Yueyue quickly asked, ”Doctor, can you tell if the baby in my belly is a boy or a girl now?”

”You can generally determine the baby’s gender at three and a half months, with the best time being at five and a half months! So, now is the best time to check the gender! Do you want to know the gender?” The doctor, knowing Huo Junmo’s identity, didn’t hold back.

After all, in Jin City, the Jin City Five Young Masters can’t be stopped from doing anything! If Huo Junmo insists on knowing the gender, there’s practically no way to stop him!

”I...!” Ling Yueyue was just about to reply when Huo Junmo covered her mouth, ”No need! We won’t check!” After nodding at the doctor, he took Ling Yueyue out of the doctor’s office.

Walking down the hospital hallway, Huo Junmo finally let go of Ling Yueyue.

Ling Yueyue pouted and complained, ”What are you doing? Why did you stop me from asking about the baby’s gender? I’ve been curious for so long!”

Huo Junmo explained, ”Don’t you think keeping a little mystery is better than finding out early? It’ll be a surprise when the baby is born and we find out then. Knowing now would be so boring!”

Hearing this, Ling Yueyue raised an eyebrow and puzzledly looked at Huo Junmo, ”Aren’t you curious at all?”

Huo Junmo shook his head, firmly stating, ”Not curious at all! I just want to wait for the day the baby is born and have a surprise!”

Seeing Huo Junmo’s firm stance, Ling Yueyue shrugged indifferently, ”If you’re not curious, then we won’t ask. We’ll wait for the baby’s birth to reveal the answer!”

”Mm!” Huo Junmo smiled and nodded, affectionately ruffled Ling Yueyue’s hair, and then asked, ”Now that the check-up is done and it’s still early, should we go home or go out for a walk? I’ll be with you the entire day!”

”Uh...” Ling Yueyue lifted her head and seriously thought for a moment. Her eyes suddenly lit up, and she smiled, ”Let’s go to the mall! Let’s buy things for the baby. The baby is over five months now, and we haven’t prepared anything yet! Let’s get the essentials first and fill in any gaps later!”

”Whatever you want, you decide! Let’s go!” Huo Junmo smiled, nodded, took Ling Yueyue’s hand, and walked out of the hospital, driving straight to the largest mall in Jin City!

Once at the mall, Ling Yueyue bought everything the baby might need, including diapers, milk powder, bottles, clothes, blankets, and towels. Because there were so many things, she asked the sales staff to deliver them to their home.

After roughly finishing the shopping, it was already afternoon, and Huo Junmo drove Ling Yueyue to Huo Jiantian’s school to pick him up.

Huo Jiantian happily jumped into the back seat, tossed his backpack aside, and excitedly asked, ”Dad, Evil Stepmother, how come you have time to pick me up from school today?”

Ling Yueyue turned around, playfully winked at Huo Jiantian, and deliberately said, ”Your dad said he’s taking us out for something delicious today, so we specially came to pick you up from school!”

Upon hearing this, Huo Jiantian’s eyes lit up, ”Dad, is Evil Stepmother telling the truth?”

Before Huo Junmo could speak, Ling Yueyue quickly chimed in, ”Of course! Your dad just said it himself, feel free to choose what you want to eat today, your dad’s paying the bill!”

After hearing Ling Yueyue’s words, Huo Jiantian almost jumped for joy, ”Yay! Since I was born, except for dad’s wedding day, I haven’t eaten outside again! I heard from my deskmate that western-style steak is really delicious, I want to eat it!”

Ling Yueyue clapped her hands to finalize the decision, ”Okay, let’s have your dad take us to eat steak!”

Huo Jiantian patted his hands joyously, ”Alright! Dad, you’re the best, I love you so much, let’s go have steak right away!”

Ling Yueyue looked at Huo Junmo, a sly look flashed in her eyes, ”Mr. Huo, let’s go! Let’s go have steak together!”

”...!” Huo Junmo looked at Ling Yueyue’s little face triumphant in conspiracy, and then at Huo Jiantian’s eager and excited expression in the rearview mirror. He sighed inwardly, eventually saying nothing, started the car, and turned towards the most famous western restaurant in Jin City.

Sitting in the private room of the western restaurant, Huo Jiantian looked at the menu’s steaks and couldn’t help but swallow, hesitating for a long time before deciding on a flavor.

Seeing Huo Jiantian stare at the menu’s steaks and swallow without making up his mind, Ling Yueyue couldn’t help but roll her eyes, ”If you don’t know which one to eat, go for the black pepper steak, it’s very good! Or you could try the restaurant’s special steak, that’s nice too! If you can’t choose between the two, simply order both! Anyway, your dad’s paying, he’s got plenty of money!”

Initially undecided, after hearing Ling Yueyue’s words, Huo Jiantian busily nodded his little head, ”Okay, okay, I’ll have both flavors of steak, and also a glass of fruit juice!”

Ling Yueyue didn’t even bother looking at the menu and directly told the waiter, ”I’ll have the twice-cooked beef clay pot rice, and a black pepper steak!” Then she looked at Huo Junmo and asked, ”Mr. Huo, what will you have?”

Huo Junmo didn’t look at the menu either and simply ordered the special steak that Huo Jiantian had chosen, ”I’ll have the special steak!”

”Alright, please wait a moment, the three of you!” After the order, the waiter turned and left, closing the private room door for them.

While waiting for the food, Huo Jiantian, with a straw in his mouth, blinked his bright eyes, and said with a smile, ”Dad, why are you being so good today and specially taking me out to eat?”

”...!” Huo Junmo didn’t speak and looked at Ling Yueyue!

Ling Yueyue squinted and smiled, ”Of course, your dad used to be like a log, not knowing anything and not even taking you out to enjoy life! Rest assured, now that I’m here, whenever there’s time, I’ll take you out to eat whatever you want! Life, after all, is only a few decades long, so naturally, you should eat and drink to your heart’s content, or it’ll be like walking through the world in vain!”
