Crossover Shipgirls: Building a Dimensional Empire from Scratch

”One, two, three, four, five...”

”Wow, so many newcomers?!”

As the newly arrived Spirits stepped into the administrative center and greeted everyone, the shipgirls, Heroic Spirits, and maids who were working all set aside their tasks.

”Greetings, I am the Royal Maid, Belfast. Please feel free to take a seat.”

”I have prepared some refreshments for you. Would you prefer black tea, juice, or carbonated drinks?”

Belfast, along with the maid team and Tohru, warmly welcomed the Spirits, guiding them to sit down.

Having just undergone their transformation, the Spirits were still somewhat reserved. They sat on the sofas as if they were attending a class, their hands neatly placed on their laps, anxiously looking at Setsuna.

”Hey, don’t be so nervous. Relax a little, Master doesn’t eat little kids.”

Jeanne Alter leaned against the sofa backrest, ruffling the hair of a red-haired, twin-tailed girl with crimson eyes.

”Eh?!”

Kotori Itsuka flinched in surprise and looked around nervously.

She soon realized that everyone around her was an incredibly beautiful lady—the people in this city had an absurdly high average appearance.

Setsuna’s close companions like Richelieu and Taihou aside, even the Bulins they passed on the streets were unbelievably cute.

”Pardon me, who might you be?”

Kotori asked politely, feeling that it was best to be respectful as a newcomer.

”You can call me Jeanne. That blonde country bumpkin next to me is also Jeanne. You’ve probably heard of my name.”

Jeanne Alter answered with her arms crossed.

”Eh? You have the same name as the historical Jeanne d’Arc? Are you two sisters?”

Origami Tobiichi curiously inquired.

”No. The one who got burned back then was her. The one who burned the French at the singularity was me.”

Jeanne Alter pointed to Jeanne d’Arc.

”Oh, and that one over there eating chips is King Arthur. You’ve probably heard of her too.”

”???”

Kotori and Origami looked at Jeanne d’Arc and Artoria, their heads filled with question marks.

This city was so strange. Why were there so many people cosplaying historical figures?

They couldn’t help but internally grumble about it.

Clap—

While the Spirits were quietly observing their surroundings, Mio clapped her hands and walked up to Setsuna.

”This is Setsuna, the ruler of this city.”

”If you have any needs while living here, you can come to me or him. Hmm... I can fulfill most of your small wishes.”

Mio smiled gently.

Having already witnessed many miraculous feats from Mio, the Spirits held deep reverence for her, and the words ”fulfilling wishes” carried great weight.

”I thought you were the master of this city?”

Several Spirits glanced at Mio and then at Setsuna.

Having recently experienced Mio’s overwhelming power, they naturally assumed she was the one in charge.

”No, you are my children, and Setsuna is my other half.”

Mio said as she nestled against Setsuna’s side.

”Oooh—”

The Spirits gasped in admiration.

”So it’s like a king and queen relationship?!”

”???”

Taihou, feeling immediately dissatisfied, interjected:

”How did you suddenly get promoted to queen?!”

”Because Setsuna and I already have nine children, and soon there will be a tenth... and perhaps even more in the future.”

Mio replied matter-of-factly.

”Wow, Commander, I want to have little shipgirls too—”

Taihou exclaimed, looking determined.

”Ahem—”

Setsuna quickly interrupted what could have been an escalating argument and turned his attention to the newly arrived Spirits.

”As you can see, I am the ruler here. You can call me ’Commander’ or whatever name you prefer.”

”I will arrange accommodations for you shortly. Richelieu and Belfast will help you get familiar with everything here.”

”There aren’t too many rules in the capital; you’re free to pursue whatever interests you. In the future, I might even take you to other worlds for some adventures.”

”After all, with the power of your Astral Dresses and Angels, it would be a waste not to put them to good use, right?”

He wasn’t entirely sure how Mio had convinced these Spirits to come, but he assumed it was similar to what happened with Kurumi—perhaps she had claimed to be a champion of justice in need of their help to fight monsters or had offered to solve some of their personal troubles.

In any case, details and methods weren’t important. What mattered was that they were here.

”Oh...”

Kotori Itsuka, Origami Tobiichi, and Yoshino exchanged glances.

It was just as Mio had told them earlier. They had come here with the mindset of visiting an exotic new world.

”Can we return home in the future?”

Yoshino timidly raised her hand and asked.

”Of course, through the dimensional anchors, you can return to your original world anytime. You can even visit other worlds if you’d like.”

Setsuna responded casually.

”But remember, when you’re in human society, don’t use your powers recklessly. There are no wizards or Spirits in that world anymore.”

In the original Date A Live timeline, the Self-Defense Force had established the AST (Anti-Spirit Team) to combat Spirits. However, in this revised timeline, AST no longer existed, but letting the Spirits run wild unchecked would still be a bad idea.

”Wait, this place is connected to other worlds?!”

Origami suddenly picked up on a key point in Setsuna’s words.

”Of course. Did you think this was just your average fantasy world?”

Setsuna grinned and pulled up the Hyperdimensional Star Map, displaying several dimensional anchor points.

”Right now, we’re connected to five different worlds, and more will follow in the future. You can travel to any of them if you wish.”

”There’s an oceanic planet, a world reminiscent of early 20th-century human civilization, and even a sword-and-magic world.”

”Oh, but if you want to visit the Dragon Maid’s inner world, be sure to have Tohru accompany you. There are quite a few monsters there.”

The Spirits were left in awe.

Initially, they had come here thinking it was just some idyllic paradise Mio had promised them.

But now they realized that this world was connected to countless other strange and wonderful realms.

It felt as if they were frogs in a well who had suddenly been thrown onto a spaceship, touring the galaxy.

...

After the new Spirits were taken on a tour of the city by the shipgirls, Setsuna did a quick count. The most well-known Spirits from Date A Live had all been brought back to his base.

Only a few remained—those scattered across various timelines who didn’t belong to the core ”Numbers 1-10” team.

Some had appeared too early, while others would emerge too far in the future, making it difficult for Kurumi’s Zafkiel to access them.

For now, they would have to be gradually retrieved using the Spiritron Calculation Device in due time.

After all, with Mio by his side, anything was possible.

”Actually, it’s not just those ten children,” Mio said, sitting comfortably in Setsuna’s lap, swinging her legs playfully.

”I can separate even more Spirit Crystals... because you can help me replenish my power.”

Her silky dress and delicate figure made it hard for Setsuna to stay focused.

”You mean... you can create even more Spirits?”

”Yes.”

Mio nodded, tracing a tree-like structure in the air with her fingers.

The Kabbalah—a symbol Setsuna was all too familiar with.

Everything in Date A Live had some connection to Christianity, and the ten Sefirot corresponded perfectly with the ten core Spirits.

”There are ten Sephira Crystals in total, each matching one of the Spirits we know.”

”But beyond those ten, I can still separate Spirit Crystals that grant abilities like elemental magic, healing magic, and more...”

”They may not be as powerful, but they will still be genuine Spirits—immortal, eternally youthful, and wielding unique abilities.”

”Won’t your spiritual energy be spread too thin?” Setsuna asked with some concern.

”You can just help me replenish it.”

Mio smiled sweetly, pinching his cheek playfully.

”Even though my powers are being distributed, I don’t feel weaker at all!”

”Well... makes sense.”

Setsuna thought about it.

Mio had three absurdly powerful Angels. She didn’t need any fancy extra abilities.

With just Ain Soph creating an omnipotent domain and Ain Soph Aur’s power to erase existence beyond causality, she could overwhelm anyone.

”Amazing... we’ll be able to form a whole Spirit battalion soon.”

Setsuna couldn’t help but think he’d hit the jackpot by winning over Mio.

Not only could she gather all the Spirits from Date A Live, but she could also create even more Spirits from scratch.

Suddenly—

Bam!

A red-haired girl with a single ponytail, dressed in a white coat and black stockings, barged through the door.

”I just heard something about... becoming a Spirit? Eternal youth?! And tons of magical power?!”

Gudako rushed up to Setsuna’s side excitedly.

”Commander! Can you turn me into one too?!”

”Aren’t you supposed to be piloting a Gundam?!”

Setsuna asked in surprise.

”Spirits can pilot Gundams too! Besides, I’m a cute girl—why can’t I become a Spirit?!”

Gudako argued with unwavering confidence.

”...Seriously?”

”So you’re basically collecting everything except Chaldea’s magecraft now, huh?!”
