Crossover Shipgirls: Building a Dimensional Empire from Scratch

The next day.

Setsuna woke up in the bedroom of the naval base.

Opening his eyes, he rubbed his head groggily and stumbled out of bed.

He pulled open the curtains, letting the morning sunlight stream in.

Taihou, half-asleep, pulled the blanket over her head and muttered,

”Belfast... it’s too early... let me sleep a little longer...”

Beside her, Mio curled up like a kitten under the covers, a faint smile and a rosy blush still lingering on her face.

As for Yat Sen, she was already awake, sitting at the vanity, carefully combing her cascading black hair.

”Mmm...”

Setsuna yawned.

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, but Taihou’s enthusiasm was clearly a bit overwhelming.

If it weren’t for his enhanced stamina, he might not have been able to keep up.

Mio, at first unfamiliar with everything, had observed and learned for quite some time.

”Mana replenishment, huh...”

”I know the Type-Moon universe uses this method, but why does it apply to Spirits too?!”

Setsuna scratched his head, unsure if Mio was being serious or if she had some ulterior motives when she brought it up.

In any case, it didn’t matter—the process was mutually enjoyable.

If every Spirit Crystal separation required mana replenishment… well, he could end up creating an entire enhanced Spirit legion.

”Commander, wasn’t the Spirit of Origin originally pure and innocent? How did she get corrupted so quickly?”

Yat Sen smiled as she combed her hair.

”I didn’t do anything! Mio is just a quick learner, okay? She picks up everything in no time.”

”If anyone corrupted her, it was Richelieu. Tsk.”

Setsuna walked over to Yat Sen and helped her tie up her hair in an elegant bun.

Yat Sen leaned back slightly, resting against his chest, enjoying the gentle touch as he worked on her hair.

”Richelieu was corrupted by you too.”

She lightly poked his chest, teasing him softly.

”You’re the root of it all. Take responsibility properly, alright?”

”Of course. You’re all my wings.”

Setsuna chuckled, hugging her tenderly for a while longer.

”Commander—”

”I know you’re in great shape now, but you shouldn’t overdo it in the morning!”

...

After finishing breakfast, Setsuna casually handled some routine affairs and opened the Hyperdimensional Star Map for a quick look.

Including his own, there were now a total of nine worlds on the map.

Among the first five neighboring worlds, the Demon Slayer world had already been fully conquered, with the shipgirls from Azur Lane, along with the Sirens, mostly relocated to Earth, merging the two factions into one.

The Date A Live world had been reverted from the magic era back to the pre-space age and would soon be brought under his control.

The Type-Moon universe was in dire straits, assisting Chaldea in clearing Singularities and restoring Human Order.

As for the three slightly more distant worlds discovered in the second phase, the three dragon girls from the Dragon Maid world were already living in his base, and the remaining few could be brought over once Tohru went back to persuade them.

”Our conquest speed is pretty impressive...”

Setsuna felt that each expedition was progressing efficiently. He opened the civilization statistics panel for a closer look.

[Civilization Overview]

• Civilization Type: Technological Civilization

• Technological Level: Space Age (Sub-light Speed)

• Population: 1.206 million

• Species: Humans, Shipgirls, Spirits, Sirens, Heroic Spirits, Dragons

”Wait... there are different subtypes of Spirits?!”

This new classification piqued his curiosity.

After thinking about it, it made sense—across countless worlds, there were at least hundreds, if not thousands, of different types of Spirits. The ones from Date A Live were merely one subset.

Tohru’s home world, for example, had plenty of Spirits frequently eaten by dragons, and many fantasy worlds housed unique and peculiar variations.

[Spirits (Date A Live)]

Spirits originating from the Date A Live world, fundamentally transformed humans who had accepted a Spirit Crystal from the Spirit of Origin.

Once transformed, the person remains in their current appearance, and depending on the type of crystal received, they gain corresponding special abilities.

”Interesting...”

Setsuna scrolled through the remaining entries in the species encyclopedia.

There were Spirits from Re:Zero, Konosuba, No Game No Life, Blade Dance of the Elementalers…

An extensive list of Spirits types filled the screen.

”Wait, there are High Elves, Wood Elves, Dark Elves, and Night Elves too?! What the hell?!”

”Aren’t your art styles completely different?!”

Just as he was feeling overwhelmed by the sheer variety, an alert suddenly popped up from the system.

[Your civilization has added five new species, unlocking a compendium reward.]

[Magic Book: Presence Concealment (EX) - Modified.]

[Effect: Completely erases your presence, blending seamlessly with the world.]

[While active, no one in the target world will perceive anything unusual about you.]

”?”

Back when Setsuna first unlocked the species compendium feature, he heard that recruiting enough different species would yield additional rewards.

Thus, he had been treating this like collecting Pokémon across different worlds. Now, he had finally unlocked his first compendium reward.

”Isn’t this the Assassin skill from the Type-Moon universe?”

”Hassan’s signature move? What do I even need this for?”

Setsuna’s expression turned a little odd.

Whenever he traveled to other worlds, he usually arrived with an entire fleet and an army of Heroic Spirits to steamroll his enemies.

There was never a need for sneaky infiltration.

After all, wiping out everyone left behind the same result—no one would ever know he had been there.

[This skill can take effect against higher-tier deities. They will not perceive your identity and will consider you an ordinary native of their world, effectively ignoring your presence.]

[Unless you actively attack them or make significant alterations to the world’s timeline.]

The system’s explanation suddenly made Setsuna’s eyes light up.

”Wait… so this skill disguises me as a local?”

He suddenly realized the potential.

Many worlds were filled with formidable gods and deities—such as the Magic Gods from A Certain Magical Index, the Collapsal from Arknights, Chaos Gods from Warhammer, and even the divine beings from Goblin Slayer.

If he waltzed in openly, he’d attract too much attention from these supernatural powerhouses.

But waiting until he was strong enough to directly confront them would make entering those worlds meaningless.

This skill, however, provided the perfect opportunity to slip in unnoticed and stir up some trouble.

”Can this skill only be used on myself, or can I apply it to others too?”

[It can be applied to any species.]

With a thud, a moderately thick magic book landed in his hand.

Flipping through a few pages, he found the contents somewhat complex, but nothing that Lucoa, Tohru, or Mio wouldn’t be able to understand.

”Perfect.”

”Now we can assemble a squad, sneak into worlds, cause some chaos, and then escape through a dimensional portal, leaving them to rage helplessly in their own world!”
