After Lin Feng finished cleaning up the aftermath in Sky Profound City…

Just as he had anticipated, the customers who had previously deposited their items at the auction house started to show up.

A few days after the branch officially opened, two Dou Huang, more than a dozen Dou Wang, and even a representative from Feng City—all in all, nearly twenty people—came to the Heavenly Treasure Pavilion branch in a group, asking about the status of their consigned items.

Lin Feng didn’t waste words. He invited each of them into a private chamber one by one, verified the authenticity of their consignment certificates, and then retrieved the items for them to inspect.

Seeing their items safe and sound, most of them chose to continue storing them at Heavenly Treasure Pavilion.

Only a small number, still worried about the security of their belongings, retrieved their items.

After appeasing those clients, Lin Feng promptly announced that the auction would proceed as planned, with only some adjustments to the auction items.

As for the updated auction catalog, it would be distributed two months before the event.

Due to the sheer number of matters to handle, Lin Feng remained busy for half a month before things finally settled down.

However, he hadn’t rested for more than a few days before Pang Sheng reminded him:

There were only a little more than two months left until the auction. The list of auction items needed to be finalized as soon as possible.

Thus, Lin Feng had no choice but to throw himself into the work once again.

He first carefully reviewed the item catalog previously prepared by Yuan Yi.

Then, he removed all items related to alchemy—herbs, prescriptions, and such.

As for cultivation techniques and Dou Techniques, if they weren’t items entrusted by clients and he thought they were valuable, he withdrew them as well—to be reserved for his own forces.

Naturally, the slots emptied by the removed items were filled again by other clients’ consignments or pills that Lin Feng personally refined.

As for the final two auction items, Lin Feng paused to think for a moment.

He decided to negotiate with the client who had consigned the Earth Class Dou Technique and try to put it up for auction this time.

Getting the money sooner—surely, that client wouldn’t object.

As for the Yin-Yang Mysterious Dragon Pill, the envoy from Feng City had already made it clear when he visited Lin Feng earlier.

Han Feng intended to auction off the pill during this event.

Lin Feng didn’t particularly care either way.

If it’s going to be sold this time, so be it. At the very least, it could help boost the reputation of his Sky Profound Auction House.

However, Han Feng did slightly revise the original condition, which Lin Feng found somewhat intriguing.

At the same time, he could clearly understand Han Feng’s true intentions.

Originally, the price of the Yin-Yang Mysterious Dragon Pill was this: any faction with at least a Dou Huang-level expert could acquire it, but they had to unconditionally agree to do two things for Han Feng.

Of course, the buyer wouldn’t be forced to go against an enemy more powerful than themselves.

But Han Feng’s updated condition was: in the future, wherever the seller went to handle a matter—regardless of what it was or where it took place—the buyer must help him deal with anyone who tried to obstruct him.

As for what that ”matter” was, Lin Feng naturally understood.

Besides going to Jia Nan Academy to seize a Heavenly Flame, what else could it be?

Still, since it was the client’s request, Lin Feng didn’t object and agreed directly.

”Pavilion Master, all the sellers have agreed to auction their items in two months,” Pang Sheng reported after several days of work, having finally persuaded all the consignors.

”Alright, this auction will mainly be hosted by your Treasure-Selling Division. You’ll also be in charge of distributing the item catalogs.”

Lin Feng flipped through the final version of the catalog, then handed it over and instructed.

”Yes, Pavilion Master,” Pang Sheng responded, taking the materials and setting off to begin promotion work for the auction.

After all, the broader the publicity, the more people would know about it—and the more likely wealthy individuals would attend.

And only with that could profits soar.

Just as Heavenly Treasure Pavilion launched its full-scale campaign to promote the auction...

On the other side, Xiao Yan, after spending nearly a month in the Jia Ma Empire settling his two older brothers, finally set off for the Black-Corner Region.

Just like in the original story, after encountering a sinister-looking figure who stood suspended in mid-air, Xiao Yan became much more cautious.

After all, a Dou Zong-level expert was not someone he could afford to provoke at his current level.

With Yao Chen occasionally helping by manifesting Dou Qi Wings, Xiao Yan spent more than two months making his way to the vast Great Plains, arriving just a few days before the Sky Profound City Auction.

”Sir Yan Xiao, if we keep heading forward for another two days, we’ll reach Sky Profound City,” a merchant said, glancing back at Xiao Yan.

”Mm.”

Xiao Yan nodded, his heart filled with curiosity about what his teacher had described—the infamous black market of the Northwestern Continent.

He then turned to the merchant and asked, ”Uncle, could you explain the current situation in the Black-Corner Region to me?”

The merchant naturally didn’t refuse Xiao Yan’s request.

After all, the young man had paid him a generous amount of gold coins to guide him safely across the Black Region Plains.

Remembering the hefty payment, the merchant immediately became enthusiastic and began explaining:

”We’re heading to the northern part of the Black-Corner Region, to a city called Sky Profound. That city is currently under the control of Heavenly Treasure Pavilion.

This force, along with Blood Sect and Ground Fire Sect, divides up control of the northern sector of the region. Once you enter the Black-Corner Region, Sir Yan Xiao, make sure not to casually provoke any of these factions.

Except for Heavenly Treasure Pavilion, all of them have Dou Huang-level experts sitting in command—and not just any Dou Huang, but ones ranked on the Black Ranking!”

Hearing this, Xiao Yan found it a bit strange and couldn’t help but ask, ”Uncle, if Heavenly Treasure Pavilion doesn’t have a Dou Huang expert, how are they able to share control of the northern Black-Corner Region with those other factions?”

The merchant chuckled at Xiao Yan’s confusion and explained:

”Although Heavenly Treasure Pavilion doesn’t have a Dou Huang, their Pavilion Master is a fifth-tier alchemist.

And about three months ago, that Pavilion Master, together with another Dou Wang, managed to kill Yuan Yi—the No. 10 ranked Black Ranking expert, a Two-Star Dou Huang. That’s why Heavenly Treasure Pavilion is now seen as an equal among those other factions.”

”What?!”

Xiao Yan couldn’t help but interrupt, visibly shocked.

After all, back when he was being chased by Gu He, he had personally experienced the overwhelming difference between a Dou Wang and a Dou Huang.

Crossing realms to defeat someone was incredibly difficult!

Even Yao Chen was a little surprised.

Under normal circumstances, two Dou Wang could at most stall a Dou Huang.

But for the Pavilion Master of Heavenly Treasure Pavilion to collaborate with another Dou Wang and actually kill a Dou Huang?

It seemed those two must have had some powerful trump cards.

Seeing Xiao Yan’s reaction, the merchant smiled and stroked his beard.

He had worn the exact same expression when he’d first heard the news.

After Xiao Yan recovered from the shock, the merchant continued, ”By the way, Heavenly Treasure Pavilion is holding an auction in a few days. I heard this time, not only will there be a Earth Class Dou Technique, but the highlight of the event will be a seventh-tier pill. If Sir Yan Xiao is interested, you might want to try your luck.”

”Earth Class Dou Technique! seventh-tier pill!”

Even though Xiao Yan had seen his fair share of treasures, he couldn’t help but swallow slightly at hearing those words.
