Journey to Planar World

In the yard, the morning wind breeze swept Charlie’s white bangs to the side, revealing his smooth forehead.

He stood still, his eyes half-closed, contemplating the direction of Hundred Gauntlets’ development. His mind worked quickly, analyzing, projecting, and arranging possibilities.

Five minutes passed in silence. He finally made a decision.

”Next, use Hundred Gauntlets for healing ability.”

”The enemies I face are getting stronger and more difficult. They barely give me time to heal myself. Dia Fratel is indeed great, but that alone won’t be enough for high-level battles in the future.”

In his mind, the principle began to form.

In normal conditions, ”being hit by an attack” is the Cause, and ”being injured or dead” is the Effect. With Hundred Gauntlets, Charlie could reverse or manipulate this logic. He could establish that the wound he suffered is an ”Effect that lost its Cause”.

By manipulating causality, if the cause of that wound—for example a sword slash or magic blow—is considered to ”have never happened” or its sequence is reversed, then automatically the wound on his body will close instantly. Logically, there’s no reason for his body to remain injured if the cause has been erased from the timeline.

However, understanding that mechanism was just theory. Knowing it didn’t mean he could master it instantly. Repetitive practice was needed to improve his control proficiency.

First, he needed wounds to practice on. The problem was, his body was protected by conceptual defenses like the Armor of Fafnir effect and Level 6 physical resistance. Let alone ordinary weapons, even Second-Class Weapons would hardly leave a scratch on his skin.

”Est, I need your help.”

”Onii-chan is finally using me after so long.”

Hearing Charlie’s call, Est immediately approached while slightly complaining.

*ZING!*

Her body shone with silvery light before transforming into a dagger thanks to the output that Charlie controlled into the Sacred Sword.

*PUCHI!*

With a flat expression, Charlie slashed the dagger across his wrist. Fresh blood began to seep out. Immediately after that, he activated Hundred Gauntlets, trying to cancel the wound event to return to the state of ”never been injured”.

Initially, that attempt failed completely. The wound remained. It took several trials, repeating the process, adjusting the ”cause-effect” flow in his mind, feeling causality—before finally, on the sixth attempt, the wound closed quickly, as if absorbed back into the skin, leaving smooth skin without a trace.

”I feel like a person with a mental disorder who self-harms.”

Charlie checked his already healed wrist.

He fully realized his method was very unusual, even could be said to be crazy. However, Charlie knew this was the most effective way. It was impossible for him to test this high-risk causality manipulation on others.

◆━⊰✿✧✿⊱━◆

Charlie didn’t know whether the talent from his template character, Karasuki Rio, played a big role or not, but the fact was he mastered instant recovery in just ten minutes of practice time.

”Unless my head or brain is destroyed so I can’t think, even heart destruction won’t kill me.”

He realized the implications of his new ability.

”As long as there’s still consciousness, I can always manipulate causality with Hundred Gauntlets to cancel all injuries, no matter how severe.”

With this, Hundred Gauntlets had covered the main weakness of his immortality—which previously didn’t have regeneration ability like most other types of immortality. Now, he was almost truly unkillable as long as his mind was still functioning.

”Thank you for helping, Est.” Charlie said while canceling Est’s Sacred Sword form back to her human form. He gently patted the girl’s head.

”I am Onii-chan’s Sword. Don’t hesitate to use me like earlier again.”

Her eyes half-closed enjoying the pat on her head. Then, Est walked back and sat beside Aishia calmly.

”Next, what ability...” Charlie stroked his chin, contemplating the next development step.

Aishia, who had been observing from the sidelines, spoke up:

”Why not try imitating Gojo Satoru’s Infinity? Charlie has Six Eyes, and can now teleport. With Infinity, unless the opponent has special abilities like spatial manipulation, causality, or other types of conceptual powers, very few people can penetrate your defense.”

”Good idea, Aishia! Alright, let’s try your suggestion!”

Hearing that proposal, Charlie felt it was very worth trying. Immediately, his memory dug back into deep information regarding the Gojo Clan’s Innate Technique, Limitless Technique.

”The absolute requirement for Limitless Technique is Six Eyes. Without Six Eyes, Cursed Energy manipulation becomes very inefficient. Six Eyes allow Gojo to process energy down to the atomic level, so wasted energy is almost zero. Without this help, Limitless Technique will drain the user’s entire energy reserves in a short time.”

”Limitless Technique works by manipulating the concept of infinity in reality. Without information processing capability from Six Eyes, the user won’t be able to arrange distance and space accurately. This makes techniques like Blue or Red become unstable or fail to activate at all.”

”Six Eyes function like a super-fast processor that processes information about the surrounding world to run Limitless. Without it, trying to activate this technique will put an extremely severe cognitive load on an ordinary human brain, which risks causing nerve damage or paralysis.”

”The absolute defense Infinity requires continuous automatic calculation of everything approaching the user. Without Six Eyes to distinguish which objects are dangerous and which are not instantly, this defense technique is impossible to maintain actively or passively.”

”In theory, other Gojo Clan Jujutsu Sorcerers could have Limitless Technique, but without Six Eyes, that technique is considered unusable in real combat because it’s too difficult to control and very inefficient.”

In a short time, Charlie successfully recalled memories he had long forgotten without Aishia’s help.

The secret?

He used Hundred Gauntlets to manipulate causality in his own memory.

He reversed the condition of his brain cells from ”the present that forgot” back to ”the moment of the event in the past where he read it”.

This wasn’t just passive remembering, but forcing his brain cells to be in a state synchronized with the past.

The result was extraordinary, Charlie could now see information details that even during the original event he hadn’t consciously noticed.

”Without me realizing, Hundred Gauntlets is very versatile. Its functionality really depends on the user’s own creativity.” he muttered in an amazed tone. ”After all, this is a causality manipulation ability. Clearly it’s not weak.”

Charlie praised himself for having made the right decision by choosing Hundred Gauntlets as his reward.

From mere teleportation, now he could perform instant recovery through erasing the ”cause” of wounds, and even was able to do cognitive synchronization with the past to access nearly forgotten memories.
