Immortality Begins with Breathing Exercises

”Shopkeeper, do you sell Profound Iron Blades here?”

Walking into the weapon shop, Lin Zheyu asked straight to the point.

Profound Iron is a high-grade metal, harder and more resilient than ordinary metal, often used to forge superior weapons.

”No.”

The shopkeeper shook his head; he looked like a somewhat honest middle-aged man.

He pondered for a moment and said, ”You can go to Lee’s Blacksmith Shop and take a look. Lee Tie is the most famous blacksmith in the village. People often come to him to forge weapons. He might have the Profound Iron Blade you’re looking for.”

”Thank you, Shopkeeper.”

Lin Zheyu thanked the shopkeeper.

Following the shopkeeper’s directions, he arrived at Lee’s Blacksmith Shop.

There weren’t many weapons in the shop, only a sixteen or seventeen-year-old boy, idly guarding the shop, fiddling with a weapon that looked like a wishwheel.

He was playing with it rather childishly, making swooshing sounds.

However, anyone with some martial arts knowledge could see that this boy was just a novice, not even at the level of practicing muscle skills.

”Little friend, is Master Lee Tie here?” Lin Zheyu asked.

”Yes, he’s in the backyard forging weapons.”

”If you wish to see Mr. Lee, you need to wait about half an hour. Mr. Lee doesn’t like to be disturbed when he’s forging weapons.”

The boy said.

After finishing his sentence, he continued to play with the wishwheel in his hand, showing no intention of making tea for Lin Zheyu.

Lin Zheyu didn’t mind. He glanced around, and the weapons displayed in the shop were all standard weapons forged from ordinary iron.

However, the craftsmanship of the forger was excellent, and the forging technique of each weapon was remarkably fine.

Even though they were made of ordinary iron, the weapons were top-notch, much better than the treasured blade Han Mo once gave to Lin Zheyu.

Lin Zheyu didn’t wait for Lee Tie to come out; he planned to check out other weapon and blacksmith shops first. If he could find a suitable weapon, he would purchase it right away.

Lin Zheyu didn’t have high requirements for weapons. As long as they were hard and resilient enough, and wouldn’t easily break in battle, that would be sufficient.

Besides, if the weapon could be heavier, that would be even better.

Gale Slash is a martial skill that uses force to generate force, storing power in battle. The heavier the weapon, the more exhilarating the experience during combat.

Lin Zheyu wandered around the marketplace and eventually found a favorable blade in a relatively large weapon shop, spending four hundred and ninety taels of silver.

The blade is named Golden Scale.

The blade is three feet nine inches long, weighs one hundred and thirty-five jins, and the body is broad and robust, showing a vigorous aura. The blade is handcrafted with an imprint resembling golden scales, thus named Golden Scale.

If he hadn’t just visited the Lee’s shop and seen the weapons forged by Lee Tie, Lin Zheyu would have thought the craftsmanship of the Golden Scale Blade was decent.

But after seeing the weapons at Lee’s Blacksmith Shop, he no longer had that impression.

If Lee Tie’s weapons are masterworks, then the blade Lin Zheyu holds resembles something made by a beginner who has just recently gotten into new forging techniques.

However, Lin Zheyu didn’t disdain it.

He tested the blade’s hardness and resilience, and they were both satisfactory.

After all, it’s a weapon forged from Profound Iron. Even if the forging technique is lacking, the material’s essence wouldn’t be significantly affected by the gap in craftsmanship.

...

In Bafang City.

Tianxiang Tea House.

Liang Song, as usual, sat alone by the window, admiring the scenery outside and listening to the storyteller’s tales of seeking immortality told in his charming voice.

”Immortality…”

”Heh, immortality…”

Liang Song chuckled lightly, murmured under his breath, and then fell silent again.

He was inherently a loner, and before Lin Zheyu became his disciple, Liang Song hardly interacted or conversed with others.

It was only when Han Mo was in Songyi City that he would often visit Liang Song.

However, both were taciturn, often sitting silently together.

In the teahouse, from time to time, someone would glance at Liang Song, but despite being subtle, they couldn’t escape Liang Song’s perception.

He chuckled and paid no mind.

”Was it him who made the move? Should we take him down now?” Yongkang asked in a serious tone.

”How to make a move?”

”Even if we could take him down with just the two of us, the commotion would attract the city’s patrol guards and the disciples of the Juedi Sect.”

”This is the territory of the Juedi Sect. They don’t care about right or wrong; if you dare to act within the city, they’ll all be arrested and interrogated.”

The man sitting opposite Yongkang shook his head.

This was a burly man named Wo Shentao, also dressed in a blood-red robe.

He was about ten centimeters taller than Yongkang, and his presence was strong, matching Yongkang’s, both being Martial Artists of Qi Blood Three Transformations.

Yongkang had a brief confrontation with Liang Song and then pursued him all the way into Bafang City.

Although Liang Song was also a Martial Artist of Qi Blood Three Transformations, his injured leg cost him much of his strength.

Even after more than a decade, he only regained most of his lightweight skills, but his offensive power was inferior even to Martial Artists of Qi Blood Two Transformations.

”I’ll go test his intentions and see what he’s up to.”

”Suddenly having such an expert appear and targeting Ge Bing without cause is suspicious.” Wo Shentao said.

After speaking, he stood up and walked towards Liang Song.

Liang Song seemed oblivious, calmly drinking his liquor and admiring the view outside without responding to the approaching figure.

”Who might you be, and why attack someone from the Senluo Temple without reason?” Wo Shentao questioned seriously.

Liang Song glanced at him, as if hearing a fly buzzing in his ear, and made a shooing gesture.
