Chapter 186: Chapter 96: Creating the Ninth Layer (Part 2)

Ding ding ding...

The sound of clashing metal echoed in the courtyard.

Lin Zheyu controlled his strength at the peak of the Bone Forging Realm, matching Han Mo with his profound martial arts realm.

When there isn’t a massive disparity in power and speed, combat awareness and technique play a decisive role in the outcome of a battle.

”Junior brother’s comprehension is terrifying, he’s almost caught up with me in saber skill!”

”And his combat awareness is strong, frighteningly strong, even when I unleashed greater power, I couldn’t defeat him!”

Although Han Mo’s expression was calm and indifferent, his heart was filled with shock.

He had already exerted the power of the Refining Internal Organ Realm, yet against Lin Zheyu’s attack, he felt it hard to fend off.

After sparring for more than half an hour, Lin Zheyu sheathed his long blade and stepped back.

”Thank you for letting me win, senior brother.”

Lin Zheyu cupped his hands, smiling as he spoke.

Han Mo’s Six Harmonies Blade was already at Great Success, and sparring with him allowed Lin Zheyu to learn many saber techniques, greatly aiding in his saber skill improvement.

”You’ve improved your saber skills quickly, you might catch up to me in just a few months.”

”Such talent and comprehension truly make one envious, comparing to you, senior brother feels as if these twenty years were lived in vain.”

Han Mo commented with a bitter smile.

”Senior brother, don’t belittle yourself, your talent and comprehension are outstanding as well, just slightly below mine.”

”By the way, just now when you used the Ten Thousand Armies Step, there was a power exertion issue at certain points that need improvement.”

”For example, when I slashed horizontally just now, your right toe touched the ground, the explosion of power in the calf was incorrect, leading to...”

Lin Zheyu pointed out Han Mo’s inadequacies in the Ten Thousand Armies Step.

Upon hearing this, Han Mo’s expression turned serious.

Respect comes from ability, and he didn’t feel any discomfort being guided by his junior brother, Lin Zheyu.

Under Lin Zheyu’s guidance, Han Mo started practicing the Ten Thousand Armies Step in the courtyard according to his instructions.

”I hope you can survive safely, senior brother.”

Lin Zheyu said silently as he watched his senior brother Han Mo engrossed in the Ten Thousand Armies Step.

If the chaotic army truly attacks, Han Mo will have to head to the battlefield.

Though having the strength of the Qi Blood Realm is formidable in Songyi City, on the battlefield, it’s merely a somewhat stronger ant.

Learning the Ten Thousand Armies Step could increase Han Mo’s chances of survival.

Time passed slowly.

The situation in Songyi City grew increasingly tense, with several battles erupting on the Feihong Gang territory outside the city, causing numerous casualties.

Jia Yanrong, Xie Jiang, and Ning Hui were all deployed to support.

Meanwhile, Lin Zheyu stayed in Songyi City, overseeing the Feihong Gang’s interests within the city.

Xu Jingwu took great care of Lin Zheyu, not letting him venture out of the city and risk danger.

In his view, helping such a genius now, regardless of whether he joins the Xu Family later, would bring abundant returns to the Xu Family when he becomes powerful.

The help given during his vulnerable times is insignificant to the Xu Family, as they don’t lack a martial artist at the peak of the Bone Forging Realm.

Indeed, Xu Jingwu is very adept at handling people.

Lin Zheyu acknowledged the kindness, and if anything ever happened to the Xu Family, he wouldn’t sit idly by.

The tense situation in Songyi City had nothing to do with Lin Zheyu.

The Xing Family had initially sent people to track him, but many died. Yet, they seemed to believe Lin Zheyu, being just at the Bone Forging Realm, couldn’t stir any trouble.

Those deaths were related to the backing of the Feihong Gang and the Xu Family behind Lin Zheyu.

Thus, the Xing Family didn’t seek Lin Zheyu but targeted the territories of the Feihong Gang outside the city.

In a flash, more than twenty days passed.

Lin Zheyu’s life was highly disciplined, focusing every day on cultivating and enhancing his strength.

Over the past twenty days, Han Mo often visited Lin Zheyu’s courtyard to discuss issues with the Ten Thousand Army Step Skill cultivation.

This cultivation technique was well-suited for Brother Han Mo, and he progressed very rapidly in his practice.

After more than twenty days, he had already reached the second layer.

In the courtyard.

Sunlight was bright and pleasant.

Lin Zheyu’s right hand was soaking in a wooden basin, in which the medicinal ingredients for sixteen sets of Blood-Nourishing and Bone-Strengthening Soup were placed.

By now, the medicinal potency had long been exhausted, with not a trace of medicinal aroma lingering.

Lin Zheyu slowly opened his eyes, a gleam flashing in them.

”The eighth layer of Golden Swan Skill is finally perfected!”

Bang!

Lin Zheyu moved, channeling the force of qi and blood from his body into his right palm, unleashing the Mountain Shattering Palm towards a wooden stake made of iron birch.

A thunderous rumble emanated as Lin Zheyu’s palm deeply embedded into the stake.

Numerous cracks spread from the center of his palm.

Crack crack—

The sound of the stake shattering rang out, and as Lin Zheyu retracted his palm, the entire wooden stake exploded immediately.

”Not bad, I finally managed to shatter the stake.”

Lin Zheyu looked at the shattered stake, satisfied with the power of his strike just now.

With the improvement to Qi Blood Four Transformations, the power of his Mountain Shattering Palm increased another level.

If faced with the living corpse in Dabashan again, he should be able to leave a shallow handprint with a single strike.

[Heaven rewards diligence]

Name: Lin Zheyu

Source Power: 1

Skills:

Mountain-Breaking Leg (Perfection)

Six Harmonies Blade (Perfection)

Golden Swan Skill (Eighth Layer 100%)

Turtle Breath Skill (Third Layer 6%)

”There’s still one unit of Source Power remaining, should I continue to improve?”

Lin Zheyu glanced at the data in his consciousness, a thought flickering.

After more than twenty days of hard cultivation, he had elevated the Golden Swan Skill to the eighth-layer perfection and the Six Harmonies Blade to the Perfection Realm.
