Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

”Su Mo, you’re really the best! Since you’re so generous, I won’t be shy! I want two tiramisus and two almond pastries, and also...”

Lu Shiqi rapidly ordered over a dozen different pastries.

”Shiqi, aren’t you afraid of getting fat and your boyfriend not wanting you anymore?” Su Mo said with a smile.

”Pfft, I won’t get fat; I jog every morning, not like you, who only eats and sleeps all day.”

Lu Shiqi pursed her lips, mercilessly exposing her own best friend.

”Shiqi, you’ll end up without any friends this way, but then, you don’t need friends now, having a boyfriend is enough! Handsome, my name is Su Mo, do you have any brothers or something?”

Su Mo looked at Qin Yu with a teasing smile.

Brothers?

A slight, attractive curve formed at the corners of Qin Yu’s mouth. Speaking of which, both the Li Family and Qin Family were big clans; he indeed had quite a few brothers, but these brothers were all rather unfriendly towards him.

”There are some, but they’re not blood-related.”

Light sparked in Su Mo’s eyes, ”It’s fine if they’re not blood-related! At least they share similar genes with you, the handsome guy.”

Seeing Su Mo flirting with Qin Yu, Lu Shiqi quickly interrupted her.

”Alright, Su Mo, stop teasing Qin Yu. I’m starving to death here; hurry up and make us some pastries!”

”Okay, okay, my little princess, I’m on my way to make the pastries for you.”

With that, Su Mo turned and headed for the kitchen.

The pastry shop was tiny; Su Mo was both the owner and the employee, bustling about in the kitchen, from which sweet aromas wafted, tantalizing Qin Yu’s taste buds.

Qin Yu nodded slightly, indeed the master was hidden among the common folks!

His discerning tongue was actually looking forward to tasting these pastries.

How delicious could these pastries be?

Su Mo didn’t keep Qin Yu waiting long; in less than ten minutes, a series of exquisite pastries were served.

Qin Yu inhaled deeply and couldn’t help but exclaim, ”This shop really lives up to Shiqi’s recommendation; it truly has it all—looks, scent, and flavor.”

”Of course, Mr. Qin, give them a try and see how they taste?” Su Mo looked at him expectantly.

Qin Yu picked up a piece of pastry with a fork and took a small bite, savoring it carefully.

This scene left the two girls dumbfounded, drooling! They finally understood what it meant to feast one’s eyes! Why would a man eating look so beautiful? So elegant?

Lu Shiqi rubbed her eyes in disbelief, staring at Qin Yu. She simply couldn’t accept that this was the same man who gobbled down food at the party.

He was clearly a noble from a medieval European castle!

”This is at least Michelin three-star level, I will definitely recommend the lady boss’s shop to a gourmet magazine someday; by then, her shop will surely be a smashing success,” Qin Yu said with a slight smile.

”Thank you so much, Mr. Qin! Since you like them, I’ll make some more for you.” For some reason, Su Mo instantly believed Qin Yu’s words—perhaps because of the way Qin Yu ate, or perhaps because of the confidence in his eyes?

”Thank you,” Qin Yu nodded politely in acknowledgment.

As soon as Su Mo left, Lu Shiqi asked with a puzzled face, ”Mr. Qin, weren’t you full from the party earlier? Why did you eat so little?”

”Because we still have to go back,” Qin Yu said with a gentle smile.

”Go back? Why should we go back? Li Xuebing won’t let us off, after the pastries, Mr. Qin, you should immediately head to another city!” Although somewhat reluctant to part with Qin Yu, Lu Shiqi still voiced these words.

”If I leave, what will you do if Li Xuebing bullies you again?” Qin Yu looked at Lu Shiqi with a smile.

What to do? Lu Shiqi’s pupils dilated suddenly, and she became somewhat lost. Unless she stopped going to school and hid in another city, she would never be able to get rid of Li Xuebing’s harassment.

”I... I will be careful.”

”Careful? Is being careful useful? Weren’t you very careful today?”

”Mr. Qin, let me hide in another city with you? I won’t go to school anymore! I can work, I won’t be a burden to you.” For some reason, Lu Shiqi suddenly mustered the courage, lifted her head, and looked at Qin Yu bravely.

Qin Yu was taken aback, heavens, he hadn’t done anything to Lu Shiqi, had he? How could she...?

Seeing Qin Yu’s astonished expression, Lu Shiqi felt that perhaps she had been too impulsive. She nervously twisted the corners of her clothes, hoping Mr. Qin wouldn’t think of her as a bad woman.

After a moment’s pause, Qin Yu suddenly raised his hand and gently patted Lu Shiqi’s head in an indulgent tone, ”Silly girl, you don’t need to go anywhere. Didn’t I tell you before? I’m going to introduce you to Director Daoersen.”

Lu Shiqi felt helpless, Mr. Qin was great in every way except that he liked to make big promises! But then again, it wasn’t such a big deal for a man to exaggerate.

”Mr. Qin, let’s not talk about such annoying topics, let’s eat the pastries,” she suggested.

”Hmm.”

...

After Qin Yu and Lu Shiqi had left for a while, Holly Rosie finally came out of the bathroom. In just half an hour, she had run to the toilet three times! She was almost drained by the ordeal!

Originally, Holly Rosie wasn’t a skinny beauty; she had a well-proportioned figure, but after the episode of intense vomiting, her body had become slimmer.

”Ah, well, maybe it’s a blessing in disguise? I remember Qin likes slimmer women,” Holly Rosie chuckled self-deprecatingly as she touched up her makeup in front of the restroom mirror.

After finishing her makeup, Holly Rosie walked out of the restroom at a leisurely pace.

Just as she left the restroom, she encountered Wannata, the target of her trip. Upon seeing Wannata, a pleasing curve formed on Holly Rosie’s lips.

However, to avoid arousing suspicion from Wannata or the Supernatural Group, Holly merely nodded slightly in politeness and then turned to leave without hesitation.

Upon seeing Holly Rosie, Wannata’s eyes lit up, and he said with surprise, ”Isn’t this our beautiful Rosie? How come you’re attending Daoersen’s party?”

Holly Rosie smiled faintly, the fish had taken the bait. She stopped and said with a smile, ”Didn’t I shoot a medical promotional film a while ago? Daoersen happened to see my film, and he insisted on working with me, inviting me to the party.”

Wannata’s face changed, and he quickly advised, ”Rosie, you shouldn’t waste your time on acting! You’re one of the greatest medical researchers of the past century in this world!”

”Don’t worry, I’m just here to relax a bit. Medical research is still the focus of my work,” she assured him.

Upon hearing this, Wannata finally sighed in relief, as he returned to an earlier topic.

”Rosie, about the invitation I extended to you last time, what are your thoughts on it?”
