Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Li Xuebing’s words left everyone stunned, but quickly, people regained their senses. Right! Ten minutes had passed, where was the friend he spoke of?

Zhao Xiaoying looked at Qin Yu with a teasing smile, ”Mr. Qin, don’t tell me your friend has been in that pit for twenty minutes and hasn’t come out? Is she constipated? Giggle...”

”Isn’t it obvious? Mr. Qin doesn’t have a so-called friend at all. Jimmy, please show Mr. Qin out.”

Li Xuebing felt thrilled, believing that once Qin was gone, no one would dare to oppose him! He was confident Shiqi was his to toy with!

Seeing Li Xuebing gaze at her with fiery eyes, Lu Shiqi took a deep breath and actively grabbed Qin Yu’s hand, ”Mr. Qin, I know a small shop that makes delicious pastries. Let’s go eat, they have plenty.”

This scene nearly killed Li Xuejie with frustration! Li Xuejie stared fiercely at Lu Shiqi. Slut! Slut! How dare she voluntarily grab Qin Yu’s hand!

Qin Yu was also startled by Lu Shiqi’s action, not expecting her to be so bold. Qin Yu smiled, ”Shiqi, aren’t you afraid I’m a bad guy? Aren’t you worried I might bully you?”

”Mr. Qin just saved me, and you’re so handsome that even if I were bullied, I wouldn’t mind,” Lu Shiqi said, gazing sincerely at Qin Yu.

Qin Yu burst into cheerful laughter; ”Great! I’ll accompany you to eat pastries. Let’s go!”

As he spoke, Qin Yu stood up and placed his hand around Lu Shiqi’s slender waist. Lu Shiqi’s body uncontrollably trembled a little, she had never been so physically close to a man before.

Lu Shiqi reassured herself, seeing Qin as her life-saving hero and being so irrationally handsome. If she could have such a boyfriend, it would be the blessing of a lifetime!

Lu Shiqi took another deep breath, suppressed her unease, and gave Qin Yu a sweet smile. She let him hold her slender waist as they walked together towards the banquet hall door.

”Jimmy, Mr. Qin is leading away one of our staff. Won’t you do something?” Li Xuejie, with his nose nearly crooked from anger, coldly turned toward Jimmy.

Jimmy gave a wry smile; ”Young Master Li, Miss Lu has the freedom to choose her occupation. I can’t imprison her personal freedom, otherwise, it’s illegal.”

Li Xuejie gritted his teeth so hard that veins popped out on his forehead! Dammit, he had given up his inheritance from the Li Family for Lu Shiqi, following her to the United States!

He thought, forsaking riches for beauty, Lu Shiqi would be moved.

Li Xuejie believed that persistent effort wears away the hardest rock and never expected Lu Shiqi to be so defiant and tough, unable to be conquered by him!

Was the tender meat slipping into someone else’s mouth? No way! Absolutely not! Li Xuejie cast a sinister glance at Qin Yu’s back, thinking, boy, you might be able to take Lu Shiqi, but I doubt you’ll live to enjoy it!

Without a word, Li Xuejie walked to a corner and made a call. The phone was quickly answered, a familiar voice said, ”Young Master, what do you need?”

”Uncle Fu, a man has taken Lu Shiqi away.”

”What? Someone dares to steal Young Master’s woman? Is he tired of living?”

”When you act, don’t worry about repercussions, I’ll cover everything!”

”Rest assured, Young Master!”

”Knock Lu Shiqi out and bring her to my suite.”

”Yes, Young Master.”

...

After hanging up the phone, Li Xuejie raised his glass and downed it in one gulp!

Loosening his tie, Li Xuejie felt the blood in his veins ignite. He could almost see Lu Shiqi stripped bare!

As soon as they stepped out of the hall, Lu Shiqi, as if suddenly remembering something, pulled Qin Yu quickly toward the emergency staircase.

Qin Yu let Lu Shiqi pull him all the way to the emergency staircase, and then asked with curiosity, ”Shiqi, why are you pulling me to the emergency staircase? It’s dozens of floors high. Can you handle it?”

”Even if I can’t handle it, I must endure. I know Li Xuebing; he is petty and vengeful!” Lu Shiqi’s expression was very grave.

To make Li Xuebing give up, Lu Shiqi had tried many things, even randomly finding several boyfriends. However, these boyfriends either ended up with broken arms or legs, and one even disappeared permanently!

Since then, Lu Shiqi never dared to casually find boyfriends—it would just be ruining them! Lu Shiqi did not want Qin Yu to disappear inexplicably as well.

Qin Yu looked at Lu Shiqi deeply. She really was a kind-hearted girl. Suddenly, he wrapped his arms around Lu Shiqi’s waist, and Lu Shiqi let out a startled cry!

”Mr. Qin, what are you doing, let go of me!”

Lu Shiqi somewhat regretted her actions. Had she just escaped the tiger’s den only to enter the wolf’s lair? Was Mr. Qin not a good person either?

Qin Yu’s expression was calm and he did not put Lu Shiqi down. His arms were very strong, and no matter how Lu Shiqi struggled, she couldn’t break free.

”Shiqi, you are wearing high heels. It will be tiring and easy for you to get hurt climbing the stairs. I am strong, I can carry you downstairs.”

Having said that, Qin Yu began to descend the stairs with brisk steps.

After struggling for a little while and realizing she couldn’t break free, Lu Shiqi gave up struggling.

Soon, Lu Shiqi realized she had misunderstood Mr. Qin, because his demeanor while carrying her was very gentlemanly, and his large hands carefully avoided any sensitive areas.

Lu Shiqi looked up at Qin Yu’s profile. Wow! He really was handsome! How could a man be this good-looking?

For a moment, Lu Shiqi was mesmerized!

Gradually, Lu Shiqi felt that Qin Yu’s chest was very broad and strong, and there was a faint smell emanating from him, a smell of tobacco.

Lu Shiqi always disliked men who smoked, but now, she found the scent on Qin Yu quite pleasant!

Lu Shiqi gently closed her eyes, resting her face against Qin Yu’s chest, listening to his strong and steady heartbeat, her cheeks blushing.

Love arrived just like that, and Lu Shiqi wrapped her arms around Qin Yu’s waist, her face a picture of happiness.

Li Xuejie’s two Celestial bodyguards had been waiting at the elevator for a long time, but Qin Yu and Lu Shiqi never showed up. The two bodyguards, puzzled, decided to call Li Xuebing.

”What’s up? Did you catch them?”

”Young master, are you sure Lu Shiqi went downstairs? I didn’t see her,”

”Damn! Did they use the emergency staircase?”

...

By the time the two bodyguards caught on, Qin Yu and Lu Shiqi had already gotten into a taxi, heading to the pastry shop Lu Shiqi had mentioned.

The owner of the pastry shop, Su Mo, was Huaxian and a round-faced beauty. Su Mo was obviously familiar with Lu Shiqi, seeing her holding hands with Qin Yu as they entered, Su Mo exclaimed, ”Wow! Our great beauty, Shiqi, has finally brought a boyfriend? He’s so handsome! Shiqi, hurry and introduce him.”

”No, not a boyfriend! His name is Qin Yu, a friend I just met.” Lu Shiqi, like getting an electric shock, quickly withdrew her hand and blushed while looking at Su Mo.

”Quit being so stubborn, seeing how handsome your boyfriend is, I’ll give you a fifty percent discount on everything today.”
