Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

171: Chapter 171: Thrombin 171: Chapter 171: Thrombin Unfortunately, due to the urgency of the situation, Li Dongyue’s suggestion was ruthlessly rebutted by Gao Pengfei, “The ultrasound level of the Capital City General Hospital is the best in Dragon Country!

How could they possibly make a misdiagnosis?

Just go ahead with the surgery according to the ultrasound results!”

“Li, did you have an inkling that there might be a problem?”

“At the time I wasn’t sure, otherwise, ah!” A pensive look appeared on Li Dongyue’s face as an elderly figure suddenly emerged in his mind!

Back then, Li Dongyue was just an intern, coincidentally doing his rotation in obstetrics and gynecology, and the department head at the time had said something similar.

“If the pregnant woman is pregnant for the first time, and moreover, there is no painless bleeding from the vagina, there could be certain errors in the ultrasound diagnosis.

It’s very easy to misdiagnose the condition of the placenta being in front as placenta previa!”

Since that was several decades ago, it was normal for errors to occur with the less advanced equipment of the time.

Li Dongyue could never have imagined that even today’s precise modern equipment could make errors!

If he had known this, he would have insisted on doing another ultrasound, even at the cost of offending Dean Gao.

“Dr.

Qin, is there any chance of saving her?” Li Dongyue asked with a grave tone.

Upon hearing this, Gao Pengfei’s face turned very ugly!

By saying this, it was clear that Li Dongyue had acknowledged the fact of misdiagnosis!

Similarly, Qiao Anran’s face also turned extremely sour!

Wow!

It really was a misdiagnosis!

No matter if her daughter could survive or not, she would not let Luo City’s First Hospital off the hook!

“Ms.

Cheng was supposed to naturally separate from the placenta, but instead, the placenta was surgically removed, and moreover, the technique for removing the placenta was very unskilled, resulting in the severance of two arteries on the separation surface of the placenta.

I’ll try, and do my best to salvage the situation,” said Qin Yu with an icy tone.

He Jinjin’s body trembled uncontrollably at Qin Yu’s words; after all, she was the one who had performed the surgery!

Although she had only carried out the operation under orders, the responsibility would surely fall on her in the end!

In an effort to mitigate the error, He Jinjin proactively offered the hemostatic forceps to Qin Yu, “Dr.

Qin, here are the hemostatic forceps for you!”

“Don’t need hemostatic forceps, get me hemostatic gauze and prepare two units of thrombin.”

Crash!

Qin Yu’s words set off another huge wave of commotion!

The entire observation room erupted in an instant!

Thrombin?

In medical history, there had indeed been successful cases of treating massive obstetric hemorrhage with thrombin!

But thrombin could cause thrombosis, and the mortality rate for treating gynecologic massive hemorrhage with thrombin was close to fifty percent!

Cheng Yan is the granddaughter of Elder Qiao.

To use a method with a fifty percent mortality rate to save her?

Isn’t that too frivolous?

Hearing the doctors’ discussion, Qiao Anran finally couldn’t maintain her composure as a noble lady, and her face went deathly pale.

What?

A fifty percent mortality rate?

Su Ziyan was also very anxious, this damned scoundrel!

He had seemed promising just a moment ago, so why start playing with fire in the blink of an eye?

Can we not play with these high-difficulty, high-mortality things?

Can’t we do something more reliable?

“Dr.

Qin!

You cannot use thrombin for hemostasis!

The mortality rate for using thrombin is too high!

I suggest you use interventional surgery, with a microcatheter, to super-selectively cannulate the target vessels and thus stop the massive hemorrhage!”

Gao Pengfei started shivering at the word “thrombin,” terrified— if Elder Qiao’s granddaughter died in their hospital, that would be a huge problem!
