Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

156: Chapter 0156: Making a Decision 156: Chapter 0156: Making a Decision Gao Pengfei’s expression was grave.

If it had been just an ordinary person, there would have been no need for Li Dongyue to personally take action.

Li Dongyue was the deputy dean in charge of surgery at Luo City’s First Hospital and the best surgeon in Luo City.

Only if Li Dongyue personally performed the surgery would Gao Pengfei be at ease.

To Li Dongyue’s disappointment, Li Dongyue stretched out the hand that had been in his pocket and said with a bitter smile, “Dean, it’s very unfortunate, but last night when I was closing the door, I accidentally injured my hand.

I’m afraid I won’t be able to perform surgeries for two months.”

“That really is most unfortunate!” Gao Pengfei frowned, not knowing why, but he suddenly sensed an ominous feeling.

“Dean, rest assured, we have several excellent surgeons in our department, especially Lu Dapeng.

His skills are now almost on par with mine.”

Li Dongyue’s expression remained calm; he was aware of the abilities of his fellow surgeons.

“Good!

With Dongyue’s praise, I trust that Xiao Lu’s abilities must be up to the mark!

The task of removing the placenta previa will be entrusted to him.

In that case, Old Li, call Xiao Lu over here, and let’s discuss the surgical plan together.”

“Yes, Dean.”

Having said that, Li Dongyue quickly stood up, left the meeting room, and strode toward the surgery department.

Upon entering the surgery office, the doctors there bowed and greeted Li Dongyue respectfully; after all, he was their immediate superior.

Li Dongyue nodded slightly, then looked around; he did not see Lu Dapeng in the office.

There were only two official doctors and three resident doctors in the office.

“Where is Director Lu?”

“Director Lu is performing surgery,” replied an official doctor named He Jinjin.

“Performing surgery?

Impossible!

I’ve seen today’s surgical schedule, and Director Lu doesn’t have any surgeries today.

Tell me, is Director Lu skipping work again?” Li Dongyue glared at He Jinjin.

“No, no, Director Lu is truly in surgery, in operating room number three, performing a tendon repair surgery,” He Jinjin’s face changed, and he quickly shook his head.

A tendon repair surgery?

Li Dongyue blinked, and soon the image of Liu Man came to his mind.

Actually, Liu Man’s surgery should have been done last night, but because Liu Man required that it not affect the dexterity of her fingers post-surgery, Luo City’s First Hospital dared not undertake the surgery.

Li Dongyue’s face turned extremely ugly; this Lu Dapeng was really too bold, wasn’t he?

Even Li Dongyue was not confident about not affecting the dexterity of Liu Man’s fingers.

How could Lu Dapeng dare to take on this surgery?

How valuable were Liu Man’s fingers?

If the surgery affected the dexterity of her fingers, how much compensation would that be?

Fortunately, although Li Dongyue was very angry, he still knew what was important, and he knew that the priority at the moment was Cheng Yan’s surgery.

Li Dongyue suppressed his anger and said in as gentle a tone as possible, “Dr.

He, please go to the meeting room on the eighth floor for a specialist consultation.

When you go, just say that Director Lu is in surgery and that I asked you to come over.”

“Yes.” Seeing that Li Dongyue looked displeased, He Jinjin didn’t dare to say more and quickly left the office.

Li Dongyue, with a dark expression, walked out of the office and strode toward operating room number three!

He wanted to see just where Lu Dapeng got the gall from.

To actually take on a surgery privately!

Indeed, the Lu Dapeng referred to by Li Dongyue was the same Dr.

Lu who was currently assisting Qin Yu.

Li Dongyue was on the verge of a breakdown because of Lu Dapeng; he had made up his mind that even though Lu Dapeng was one of his favorite subordinates, this time he would not bear the responsibility for him!
