Chapter 1276: Chapter 43: Morning Light (Part 3)_2

War allows no fantasies!

”The liaison officer has arrived.”

With the staff’s reminder, Su Fei and Felix quickly turned around. Though Su Fei is military personnel, she cooperates with Felix on battlefield reports this time, and all signals must be broadcast through the civilian television station, making her identity somewhat awkward.

Battlefield reporting is not like normal news live broadcasts. Some things can be said, some cannot; some things can be broadcast, some cannot. Everything must undergo strict scrutiny.

The liaison officer is responsible for communication between both sides.

As they turned their heads, two lieutenant colonels had already briskly walked to the spot where the reporting team was located. After saluting, one of the lieutenant colonels named Wang Hao said to Felix, ”Mr. Felix, we just contacted the electronic ship behind, and because the civilian space signal transmitter at the jump point is damaged, it will take some time to rearrange it, so the footage cannot be transmitted back domestically yet. However, if you are willing, the military can open a special channel for your signal.”

”As for battlefield reporting, I will obey all your rules. We won’t shoot or broadcast anything we shouldn’t. You can censor, block, and modify footage involving military secrets, but...” Felix shook his head and rejected firmly, ”Our program must be authentic! Obviously, passing through the military signal channel and then being transferred to the television station by domestic military involves many steps I cannot control, so the signal must be sent directly to my station.”

The two liaison officers glanced at Su Fei, who turned her head away.

As the host of the award-winning talk show, authenticity is Felix’s core principle. This show was already widely spread through various channels before starting. The publicity department and the tv station worked their hardest to cooperate. Public attention was at the top of all shows before it even began.

Getting Felix to give up control over authenticity is absolutely impossible.

However, what the liaison officer said is not really a military trick. In fact, the Jiepeng people destroyed almost all civilian information transmitters to block information from Resk. Including civilian networks, no one in Resk can contact domestically. Previously, the Suss people did the same thing.

Setting up civilian signal transmission is indeed a considerable project. A single signal transmitter cannot guarantee signal stability. Various unforeseen events in space, a small asteroid, passing heavy particles, or a solar flare could destroy the transmitter. Therefore, to ensure transmission stability, a considerable number of transmitters must be deployed at the jump point.

But judging from the hint of a sarcastic smile at Felix’s lips, he has clearly developed misunderstanding and suspicion. This way, this stubborn program host will become more demanding in future cooperation.

Just as Su Fei’s thoughts hadn’t turned complete, she heard Felix say to Wang Hao, ”Since the signal can’t be transmitted back yet, we can start other work. The program started the day we set out. I need to know the current progress. Since I’m here, I’m a warrior, only using different weapons. Knowing the current situation is my right. With your review in place, you don’t need to worry about me leaking secrets.”

”Of course...” Wang Hao nodded, not yet speaking when Felix continued, ”Additionally, please arrange in advance the matter of us going to the frontline for shooting and reporting. I don’t want to miss any exciting footage. If you keep me staying here, not going anywhere, then the program is finished!”

The two liaison officers opened their mouths wide, almost visible to the throat.

Wang Hao asked incredulously, ”Mr. Felix, are you saying you want to go to the front line yourself?”

Felix looked at Wang Hao strangely and said, ”Why not? I must complete all footage explanations myself, and the signal must be sent directly to the television station. This was agreed upon before coming.”

”But...” Wang Hao’s eyes widened, looking at Felix and then at the silent Su Fei beside him, ”Your safety...”

”What safety is there to talk about on the battlefield?” Felix smiled slightly, shook his gray-haired head, and his back straightened: ”I’m not a soldier, but I also fight for Chuckna. It’s war, and I will act like all warriors. Maybe I’ll survive the war; maybe I’ll die when the enemy fires the first bullet. No matter the outcome, I’ll accept it.”

The two liaison officers exchanged glances, then Wang Hao turned to look at Su Fei, and then at the other reporting team personnel, speaking in an uncertain tone, ”Then Miss Su Fei and others....”

Felix didn’t answer for Su Fei; he turned his eyes to Su Fei.

”Some of us will remain to handle production and reporting at the rear...” Su Fei turned to meet Felix’s questioning gaze, speaking calmly yet firmly, ”Others will go to the frontline, including myself. If we die in war, that’s also part of this program.”

Felix nodded slightly, and for the first time since their partnership, admiration appeared in his gaze.

The two liaison officers couldn’t help but feel solemn respect.

In the command hall, the noise suddenly grew louder. Staff advisors poured out of the discussion room, running down the corridor. The electronic signal lights on the central control station on the lower level flashed urgently. Outside the porthole, the blue flowing light at the rear of the assembled battleships suddenly brightened, accelerating sharply, flying forward.
