The messy bedroom fell quiet. Dorothy and Lindsay stopped wrestling. Dorothy released her hold, and the two girls hugged each other, lying still on the bed. Jessica and Beyoncé leaned against the wooden headboard, reading the rest of the page slowly together. Their eyes wandered over Lindsay’s blushing, tear-streaked face, and then over to Marvin’s unreadable expression.

Marvin sat down gracefully on the carpeted floor. He rested his chin on one hand. His bottomless blue eyes glowed with a dark, protective intensity in the dim light. He listened quietly.

”In the dark past, I walked alone. I took a car alone. I went shopping alone. I cooked dinner alone. I read alone. I went to class alone. I studied alone. and I was in a daze alone... I was so very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very... lonely... !”

”Now, I still walk alone. I still ride alone. I go shopping alone. I cook alone, and I read alone in this empty house. But I can secretly see Marr (the name heavily crossed out with black ink) Marr in class, and I can also see Marr in self-study. When I am alone in a daze now, all I think about is Marr... I no longer feel lonely.”

”People say human life is like a lonely boat drifting across a dark and endless ocean. Most spend their entire lives begging others to climb aboard so they don’t have to face the storm alone.

But I don’t need that.

As long as Marr is beside me, even the darkest sea no longer feels cold. That soul is enough for me to cross eternity with.”

When Jessica read the last word on the page, the room fell quiet for a long, heavy moment.

Only the sound of the Los Angeles wind outside the window echoed in the silence.

Then—

Dorothy broke the silence. She adjusted her dress, deploying her words to save Lindsay from the embarrassment of her exposed vulnerability. ”Okay, Lindsay. Tell the truth. Is this a beautiful, depressing love letter you secretly wrote to Marvin?”

Jessica threw her hands up in mock offense, flawlessly backing Dorothy’s play. ”Lindsay, you are going way too far! You didn’t even put the Po plushy, me, Dorothy, or Beyoncé anywhere in your book! We are your friends too, you know!”

The three older girls playfully pounced on Lindsay again. They tickled her mercilessly, dragging her out of the melancholic waters of her writing and forcing her back into the warm, safe reality of the present.

”Ah——!” Lindsay screamed, laughing hysterically. Tears of relief streamed down her face. She fought back, kicking her legs. ”No! No, you guys are idiots! The characters are all made up by me! It’s Marr, not Marvin! It’s Catherine, not Lindsay! Ahhhhhhhhh! No, stop, I’m ticklish! Marvin, help me!”

The fictional story on the page remained just a story. But Marvin heard the agonizing loneliness of a neglected, parentified girl bleeding through the ink. Her trauma ran so deep, her reality so devoid of genuine love, that she identified with a mutated whale crying into the void.

The pity, the twisted love, and the dark possessiveness in his blue eyes grew stronger.

He didn’t just want to manage her career. He wanted to lock her in a golden cage, surround her with an impenetrable fortress of his own love, and protect her from the world forever.

Hearing Lindsay’s laughing cry for help, Marvin couldn’t just sit on the floor and ignore it. He wanted to join the chaos.

”Haha! Committing such blatant roguery right in front of the great Marvin Meyers?” Marvin laughed. He rose dramatically from the floor, his voice booming with fake, heroic outrage. ”Unhand the fair maiden immediately, you vicious fiends!”

With a theatrical roar, he launched himself onto the bed among the screaming girls.

The chaos exploded into a breathless pillow war. Feathers flew everywhere as the small room filled with delighted shrieks and laughter.

Marvin dodged Beyoncé’s swinging pillow. He tackled Jessica around her slim waist, pulling her warm body flush against his for a split second before spinning her away with a laugh.

He yanked Lindsay safely behind his back, acting as her invincible, laughing shield. She clung to him, her arms wrapped fiercely around his torso.

For the next hour, the dark, toxic house in Los Angeles filled with the deafening, joyous sound of genuine laughter.

And for that one fleeting night, the 52-Hertz whale no longer had to sing alone beneath the endless dark of the ocean. Somewhere in the vast silence of the world... its lonely song was finally heard by other hearts.

---

For the next hour, the dark, empty house in Los Angeles echoed with the deafening, joyous sounds of pure, uninhibited fun. The four girls and Marvin turned the bedroom into a battlefield of flying pillows, tumbling bodies, and breathless giggles. Everyone took full advantage of the chaos — and everyone knew it.

Beyoncé’s full, curvaceous figure became a magnet for ”accidental” contact. Every time she swung her pillow, her heavy breasts bounced and brushed against Marvin’s chest or arms. Marvin returned the favor by grabbing her around the waist during one particularly wild tumble, his hands sliding along her thick, juicy hips and the curve of her ass as he ”shielded” her, their sweat-slick bodies sliding sensually together for several heated seconds.

Jessica, fierce and graceful, dove at him like a dancer in battle. She tackled him sideways, her long legs tangling with his as her perky breasts pressed firmly into his side. Marvin countered by pinning her briefly beneath him on the mattress, his body weight pressing down just enough for her to feel every hard line of him against her slim, toned frame. Their faces ended up inches apart, both panting and laughing as her thighs squeezed around one of his legs in the struggle.

Dorothy used her athletic frame and strength to her advantage, leaping onto Marvin’s back and wrapping her strong, toned thighs around his waist like a vice. Her firm chest rubbed against his shoulders while she tried to wrestle him down. Marvin spun her around playfully, his hands gripping her muscular thighs and hips, lifting her easily so her body slid down against his front in a slow, deliberate press that left her flushed and breathing harder.

Lindsay, the youngest and most energetic, threw herself into the fray with pure chaotic joy. She kept ”accidentally” crashing into Marvin from every angle — wrapping her arms around his neck, pressing her small, soft body against his chest, and giggling wildly when he scooped her up and spun her around. Her legs would hook around his waist for balance, their bodies molding together as she laughed breathlessly into his neck.

The girls weren’t shy either. They ganged up on him constantly — hands grabbing at his arms, legs, shoulders, and chest; bodies colliding and rubbing against him from all sides. Pillows became weapons, but so did their proximity. Sweaty skin slid against sweaty skin. Soft breasts pressed into his back, his chest, and his arms. Warm thighs tangled with his. Hands ”accidentally” roamed over hips, waists, and backs during every tackle and counter-tackle. Every tumble left limbs intertwined, faces flushed, and breaths mingling in the heated air.

The intoxicating gravity of the fun in every inch of the bedroom, turning innocent pillow-fight fun into something deliciously charged and addictive for all of them.

After what felt like forever, the chaotic war finally collapsed into exhausted, breathless silence.

The five of them lay sprawled side by side across Lindsay’s small mattress and the carpeted floor Girls— panting, huffing, faces flushed a deep, vibrant pink, with glistening beads of sweat tracing down their necks and chests. Their clothes clung damply to their bodies, outlining every curve and line. Limbs were still lazily tangled: Beyoncé’s thick thigh draped over Marvin’s leg, Jessica’s head resting on his shoulder with her perky chest pressed against his arm, Dorothy’s toned body curled against his other side, and Lindsay snuggled sweetly into his chest, her small frame half on top of him.

Marvin stared up at the ceiling with a satisfied grin, silently evaluating the beauties surrounding him while the girls caught their breath, their bodies still radiating heat and that addictive Incubus warmth.

Beyoncé’s curvaceous, seventeen-year-old figure stood out the most — her full, rounded breasts rising and falling heavily with each deep breath, straining against her damp top. Her thick, juicy ass and wide hips had been impossible to ignore every time she moved or collided with him.

Jessica possessed that slim California elegance — perky small breasts, an impossibly narrow waist, and athletic hips that felt incredible when they ground against him during their tussles.

Dorothy’s relentless training showed in her firm, sculpted body. Her strong, toned body had felt powerful and exciting when she wrapped herself around him like a beautiful Amazon.

And Lindsay, at twelve, brought that sweet, devastating girlish innocence and playful energy. Even less developed than the others, her small, soft body carried a pure, vulnerable charm that made everyone — especially Marvin — instinctively want to pull her closer and protect her.

She possessed a sweet, devastating girlish naivety and a chaotic, playful energy that radiated purely from within—the exact kind of innocent vulnerability that made everyone around her instinctively want to protect and take care of her. That rare, quality was simply known as being universally *likable*.

Unfortunately, Marvin knew the truth. As she got older in the previous timeline, her natural, radiant appearance would deteriorate due to excessive plastic surgery, toxic stress, and rampant drug and alcohol abuse. By twenty-five, she would tragically look aged two decades extra.

’Personally,’ he thought to himself, watching Lindsay giggle as she caught her breath, ’I think Lindsay’s physical and artistic appearance peaked during the filming of ’Mean Girls’. I will make sure she never falls from that peak in this life. Only going higher with the development of her body.’

”Oops, it’s boiling in here. I’m covered in sweat.” Jessica pushed herself up from the tangled blankets of the twin bed. She fanned her flushed face, injecting a loud, careless normalcy into a room built on quiet heat and flushness. ”Lindsay, I’m taking a long shower.”

Dorothy rose next, arching her back to stretch her athletic frame. Her clothes clung to her damp skin from the pillow fight, outlining her toned muscles. ”I’m coming with you. We can wash up together and save time.”

Lindsay bounced up. Her green eyes gleamed, hungry for the continued distraction. ”Wait for me! Together!”

Marvin pushed himself off the floor, a wicked smirk curving his lips. ”Excellent idea, ladies. Let’s wash together. I’ll gladly scrub your backs.”

Jessica paused at the bedroom door and planted her hands on her hips. She shot him a withering, amused look. Her closeness with him allowed her without a trace of insecurity. ”In your dreams, stinky Marvin!”

”What a perverted thought for a so-called saint!” Dorothy shook her head with a laugh.

”Yea, sadly for you, Shakespeare, it remains a tragic dream.” Beyoncé grabbed a stray pillow and hurled it at his head. ”Keep dreaming, Wonder Boy. The VIP section is closed.”

Marvin collapsed back onto the carpet in theatrical disappointment with a sigh. He watched the four girls leave the bedroom and enter the hallway bathroom.

*Bang!*

The door slammed shut. A second later, it creaked open, revealing a tiny slit. Lindsay’s blue eyes peered through the gap.

”Don’t even think about peeking, Marvin!” Lindsay called out. For the first time in months, she sounded like a normal teenager. A burst of laughter echoed from the tiles inside before the lock clicked into place.

Marvin withdrew his gaze and rested his hands behind his head. He squinted his eyes, feigning a quiet nap. In reality, he released a thin, invisible stream of magic that slipped through the cracks of the door.

’How can appreciating beautiful women be legally classified as peeping?’ A mysterious smile curved his lips. ’It is simply art appreciation. And a necessary security sweep of my claimed territory.’

...

...

...

...

An hour of running water and endless giggling rubbing passed before the girls finished.

”Marvin, the water is still hot. Go wash up.” Lindsay stepped back into the bedroom. Steam flushed her cheeks a rosy pink. A white towel bound her wet hair, matching Beyoncé, Jessica, and Dorothy behind her.

...

Late that night, the overhead lights remained off. Only the golden glow of a small wall nightlight illuminated the room.

Marvin settled onto the carpeted floor, wrapped in a thick quilt. The three older girls—Beyoncé, Jessica, and Dorothy—huddled on Lindsay’s small bed. Their even breathing filled the dark bedroom with a peaceful rhythm.

The silence didn’t last. For Lindsay, silence never brought peace. In this house, it meant her parents had either passed out from liquor or hidden from the police. It left her alone with the crushing weight of her family’s survival.

”Jessica? Jessica?” Lindsay’s tiny voice whispered into the darkness. Suffocating anxiety crept back as the evening’s adrenaline faded. ”Dorothy?... Beyoncé?”
