”What I mean is, Marvin,” she began, using her sternest tutor voice, ”we are a man and a woman—well, a young man and a woman—and there is only one bed in this trailer. It isn’t very convenient. Besides, you are still a minor. If someone from the crew sees me coming out of your private RV at six in the morning, the optics would be a complete disaster. I don’t want to be painted as some kind of Hollywood predator by the tabloids. I wouldn’t be able to explain myself no matter what I said!”

Marvin’s ocean-blue eyes widened. The innocent facade dropped, replaced by a devastating, incredulous smirk.

”Jennifer,” Marvin said, crossing his arms. ”Who on earth told you I was going to let you sleep in my bed?”

Jennifer froze. Her eyes went as wide as saucers. ”Didn’t you... didn’t you just say I was staying here?!”

She frantically replayed the conversation in her head. You are staying here tonight. He hadn’t said anything about the bed. He had said she wasn’t driving back to USC.

After replaying their conversation in her mind, she felt her cheeks burn. Marvin had never actually suggested they share the bed.

”Um... um... what do you mean?” she asked, her voice shrinking to a squeak. Her face turned a brilliant, radioactive shade of apple-red.

”What I mean,” Marvin explained slowly, speaking as if he were addressing a particularly slow toddler, ”is that our production company rented out several blocks of dormitories in the scenic area for the technical crew. I have already spoken to the Second Assistant Director. I am having them arrange a cot for you in the cabin shared by the makeup and wardrobe departments for one night.”

”Oh,” Jennifer whispered, the humiliation crashing over her like a tidal wave. ”Is that... is that alright?”

”It will have to be,” Marvin sighed dramatically. He reached over to the sofa, grabbing a thick, woven throw blanket and wrapping it tightly around his shoulders, clutching it to his chest as if trying to save himself from a predator. ”After all, I certainly don’t want to share my bed with you either. My virtue is paramount.”

”Why you little...!” Jennifer exploded, the shame instantly converting into fierce, flustered anger. She pointed an accusing finger at him. ”You set me up! You purposefully used words to put those dirty thoughts in my mind!”

Marvin laughed, a rich, dark sound that vibrated with raw Incubus charm. He let the blanket drop, stepping toward her. The playful boy vanished, and the apex predator returned.

”If it were really that easy to simply ’put’ thoughts into someone’s head, Jennifer, I wouldn’t be stuck doing algebra worksheets, and school life” Marvin murmured, his voice dropping to that hypnotic, magnetic frequency.

He looked at her, his gaze piercing straight through her anger. ”No. I didn’t put anything there. Those thoughts were entirely your own. Your mind is the dirty one, Miss Jennifer. I just handed you a microphone.”

As she sputtered, entirely unable to form a coherent defense, Marvin openly absorbed the emotions her mind was mess, she felt her cheeks burn even reder...

The air in the trailer grew thick. He didn’t need to hold back. He stood there, bathing in the chaotic, torrential downpour of her emotions. He absorbed the sharp, spicy tang of her frustration; the heavy, suffocating heat of her profound embarrassment; and beneath it all, the sweet, illicit, entirely irrational spark of latent attraction that his aura had ignited within her.

It was an absolute feast. The Incubus charm hummed, feeding on her turmoil, converting her flustered anger into pure, revitalizing energy that rushed through his veins.

”Have a good night in the dorms, Jennifer,” Marvin smiled, his eyes glowing with dark satisfaction. ”I’ll see you in the morning.”

It was late at night. The San Bernardino wind howled outside the thin, uninsulated walls of the crew cabins, rattling the windowpanes.

Inside the cramped dormitory, surrounded by the soft snoring of two exhausted makeup artists, Jennifer tossed and turned on a lumpy, squeaky mattress. She was wide awake.

Staring up at the dark ceiling, she finally, fully realized that she had been thoroughly, masterfully teased by that little rascal. Four times. Four separate times in a single afternoon, an eleven-year-old boy had completely dismantled her psychology.

’This guy deliberately used his phrasing to lead me straight into a trap,’ Jennifer thought, punching her flat pillow in frustration. ’What a damn little bastard. He let me dig my own grave and then laughed while I fell in.’

She rolled onto her back, pulling the scratchy wool blanket up to her chin.

’Where does a kid even learn tricks like that?’ she wondered. It wasn’t just his vocabulary; it was his timing. It was the way he commanded the physical space of a room.

But as her anger began to naturally subside, a different, far more dangerous emotion began to take root in the dark quiet of the cabin.

’He is a bastard... but God, he is terrifyingly handsome,’ Jennifer admitted to herself, a traitorous blush creeping up her neck in the pitch black. ’He’s going to grow up to be an absolute, undeniable heartthrob. He’s already taller than the other kids his age, his shoulders are broadening, and he possesses an intellect that makes my university professors look like amateurs. He writes like a seasoned novelist. He quotes philosophy like a scholar.’

Thinking about it this way, the humiliation faded, replaced by a strange, magnetic awe.

’If that guy were just a few years older...’ Jennifer bit her lip, her heart doing a sudden, unprompted flutter. ’I really wouldn’t mind dating him.’

The thought was completely forbidden, but the charm had already done its..., hers.

’What would have happened if I had actually stayed in the RV back then?’

Jennifer felt a strange, unfamiliar heat rising inside her chest like a slow-burning flame. The memory of Marvin’s gaze and his velvet words earlier replayed in her mind on an endless loop—the way his eyes had swept over her when she bent down, drinking in her presence with a weight that felt entirely too adult, entirely too knowing.

Her skin tingled with a restless, unspoken tension. The more she tried to forcefully push the thoughts away, burying her face in the pillow, the deeper the flush spread across her skin. The logic of her USC education completely failed her, leaving her wide awake, hopelessly captivated by a boy who was already miles ahead of the world.

She glanced sideways at the makeup artist sleeping soundly on the next bed, her breathing deep and even. The room was quiet, lit only by the soft glow of a single lamp. ’Safe enough.’

’Don’t get me wrong,’ Jennifer told herself trying to reassure herself perhaps more than anyone else, biting her lower lip. ’I’m just giving myself a little body massage... to relax.’

Her hand slid slowly down her stomach, fingertips tracing the smooth skin beneath her tank top. She slipped them under the waistband of her tight jeans, popping the button open with a quiet snap. The zipper came down inch by inch, the sound barely audible. She pushed the denim and her tiny black lace thong down just enough to give herself access, exposing the soft, shaved mound of her pussy.

Her fingers brushed over the smooth skin first, teasing, circling. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she felt how slick she already was. Her clit was swollen and sensitive, throbbing with need. She dipped one finger between her folds, gathering the warm, slippery wetness, then brought it up to rub slow, lazy circles around her aching little bud..

”Mmm...” The quiet moan slipped out before she could stop it. She bit her lip harder, eyes fluttering half-closed as pleasure began to build. Her hips rocked gently against her hand, chasing the sensation. She slid two fingers lower, pressing them against her tight entrance, then slowly pushed them inside her soaked pussy. The stretch felt delicious. She curled her fingers, stroking that sensitive spot deep within while her thumb continued working her clit in firm, rhythmic circles.

Her breathing grew heavier, faster. Juices coated her fingers, making soft, wet sounds with every thrust. She imagined Marvin’s again — those moments that had let her see him as whole more than just a kid, the outline of her pussy lips pressing against the denim. The thought made her clench hard around her fingers.

She pumped them deeper, faster, her free hand gripping the sheets as her back arched slightly off the bed. Her thighs trembled. The pressure inside her built higher and higher, a sweet, tightening coil ready to snap. Her quiet gasps filled the dimly lit room, careful not to wake the sleeping woman beside her, yet unable to stop.

Jennifer was lost in it now — fingers plunging in and out of her dripping cunt, thumb rubbing her swollen clit relentlessly, chasing that sweet release while the memory of Marvin’s handsome face pushed her closer and closer to the edge...

The next morning, the San Bernardino basecamp was a symphony of organized chaos. The biting mountain frost still clung to the pine needles as the grip and electrical departments frantically struck the massive lighting rigs, spooling miles of thick black cabling into the backs of idling diesel trucks. The summer camp shoot was officially wrapped.

Marvin stood near the open door of his Airstream, a steaming cup of Earl Grey tea in his hand, looking perfectly composed in a tailored peacoat.

Across the gravel lot, Jennifer emerged from the crew dormitories. She looked entirely disheveled. Her usually pristine blonde hair was hastily tied into a messy knot, there were faint, bruised shadows of exhaustion under her light blue eyes, and she was clutching her canvas backpack to her chest like a shield.

When she saw Marvin watching her, she physically jolted. Her steps faltered, and a violent, immediate flush crept up her neck, coloring her cheeks a brilliant crimson.

”Good morning, Jennifer,” Marvin called out, his voice smooth and melodic, cutting right through the noise of the idling trucks. ”Did you sleep well last night?”

Jennifer froze. She refused to meet his ocean-blue eyes, staring intensely at his collarbone instead. ”Ah! Good. Yes, very good. Completely fine. Goodbye, Marvin, I’m going back to the city now. See you on Monday!”

Without waiting for a response, she spun on her heel and practically sprinted toward her battered Honda Civic, fleeing the basecamp in a state of absolute, undeniable panic.

Marvin took a slow sip of his milk, watching the woman’s retreating figure with a quiet, calculating suspicion.

’How strange,’ he thought, leaning against the doorframe.

He closed his eyes, tuning out the noise of the film crew, and turned his focus inward to his mana pool. The Incubus senses were absolute.

Last night, as he had rested in the RV, he had felt a continuous, pulsing influx of rich, heavy ”desire” radiating across the camp directly from the crew dormitories. It had been a slow-burning, intoxicating wave of lust, frustration, and deep, forbidden fantasy.

He compared his current mana reserves to the levels he had recorded just before sleep. The spike was big. It was the kind of harvest that usually required physical touch or direct, prolonged eye contact. Yet, Jennifer had generated it all by herself, alone in the dark, entirely fueled by the psychological needs.

’What exactly was that woman doing in that narrow little dorm bed last night?’ Marvin asked himself, a wicked, immensely satisfied smirk curling his lips as he opened his eyes.

He couldn’t help but sigh, the cold mountain air pluming around his face. ”Humans are truly wonderful creatures. To an Incubus, they are an endless feast. They possess so many different, intricate kinds of desires, and whether those desires are forbidden by their society or not... in the dark, they truly lose themselves in them.”

The Hollywood Ledger: Keep It in the circle

With the mountain scenes in the can, the production caravan descended into the valleys.

The next block of scheduling was entirely dedicated to the ”Mike Parker” narrative—the sunny, rugged California ranch scenes.
