Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1084: Cursed Demon Heart Awakening

Just as they were about to leave, Zhang Fei’s heart suddenly beat so loudly that it could be heard by their ears.

”Move, Yunxiao!” Huang Xiaoyin shouted as she pulled her daughter away from Zhang Fei, especially when his body began to emit black smoke that slowly enveloped him.

On the other hand, Luo Fenghan immediately walked to the side of the window and activated a barrier that quickly enveloped the entire area of the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary, causing confusion among the sect members. He then ordered his sect members to calm all the disciples, and he also forbade anyone to approach their location.

Despite their high cultivation, Chen Mengyao and Bing Xingying were trembling with fear, sensing the terrifying aura from the black smoke that had wrapped Zhang Fei like a black cocoon.

Not only in that room, but panic swept through the eastern forest in the Sovereign Heaven Realm. Inside the pavilion, none of Zhang Fei’s wives dared to approach his four clones, including those with light elements, mainly because the black smoke covering their bodies absorbed their light elements.

”Is this what I think, Yushu?”

”Yes.” Nalan Yushu nodded to Ma Kuangyu. ”My master’s cursed demon heart is starting to awaken, and the cause is the attack of that mysterious male fox. If he doesn’t suppress his heart, it will awaken completely, and he will transform into a pure evil living being.”

”Can we do something to suppress his heart?” Both Nalan Yushu and Ma Kuangyu shook their heads at Huang Xiaoyi, who immediately tried to use her light element to dispel the black smoke. Unfortunately, the results were not as she expected, and the black smoke directly devoured her light element. ”Shit! How can there be such a strong darkness element?”

”This darkness doesn’t only come from the Calamity Demon Dragon, but it also comes from the evil soul of the ten-tailed fox that this kid absorbed back then, so you shouldn’t be surprised if it’s this strong.” Ma Kuangyu responded to Huang Xiaoyi. ”Have you forbidden your people from coming near here, Fenghan?”

Luo Fenghan nodded at him. ”This darkness gives me a bad feeling, and I’m afraid it will spread throughout the sect, which will bring chaos here. Moreover, the situation will become chaotic if people from other sects and clans find out about this matter, and they might attack us.”

”Have you contacted them, husband?” Huang Xiaoyi asked Luo Fenghan, who responded with a nod. ”I hope they get here quickly, and I hope they have a solution to help Zhang Fei.”

Just as they were thinking about how to stop the awakening of Zhang Fei’s cursed demon heart, a wisp of crimson flame shot out from within his body, which immediately transformed into Feng Yao, surprising all of them.

”Why didn’t you save him when the mysterious male fox attacked him previously, Big Sis Yao?” Luo Yunxiao immediately asked.

As she seriously observed Zhang Fei’s body, Feng Yao shook her head and replied to Luo Yunxiao. ”You must be aware that he is still not fully mature as a cultivator, right? His talent is indeed extraordinary, but he has relied too heavily on his advantages, including the ability to borrow power from the beasts by his side. His future enemies will be even stronger, and he needs something to open his eyes to the fact that all his advantages cannot help him forever. Moreover, the male fox had no intention of killing him, so I didn’t stop him.”

”But—”

Feng Yao interrupted Luo Yunxiao directly. ”I understand your feelings towards Zhang Fei, but your husband carries enormous duties and responsibilities. Moreover, he is not as weak as you think, so you should stop acting like this.”

”I agree with her, Yunxiao.” Tang Ying, who had been silent for a long time, finally spoke. ”We’ve known for a long time that Zhang Fei’s cursed demon heart will awaken sooner or later, and the mysterious male fox is only accelerating the process. His situation is indeed dire, but he’s not weak-minded, and you have to believe that he will get through it. If he manages to get through it and suppress his heart, I’m sure he will become more mature than before.”

Luo Yunxiao released a soft sigh and nodded to them. ’Fei! Please suppress your heart and don’t let it control you.’

*Swoosh*

The black smoke suddenly spread throughout the room, but Feng Yao immediately enveloped Luo Fenghan, Huang Xiaoyi, Luo Yunxiao, Cheng Mengyao, and Bing Xingying with her aura, preventing the smoke from affecting them. Unlike them, Tang Ying, Nalan Yushu, and Ma Kuangyu were not too worried about the black smoke.

Feng Yao then pressed her palm onto Zhang Fei’s chest. ”Hey! How are you going to protect the people around you if your heart beats you? How can you be worthy of me if you lose to your heart? You have to fight it, control it, and take advantage of it.”

One of Feng Yao’s questions stunned Luo Fenghan, Huang Xiaoyi, Cheng Mengyao, and Bing Xingying, mainly because of her past identities. ’This kid is too lucky when it comes to women!’

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei had just opened his eyes and found himself in a dark place, but he frowned when countless familiar people appeared before him. ’Where am I? How did they all appear here? I’m not surprised about the others because I killed them in the past, but Zhang Hai should still be alive on Earth now, so he shouldn’t be among them.’

”You’re an ungrateful son!” Zhang Hai spoke hatefully. ”I wasn’t wrong to abandon you back then! You’re a disgrace to the family! Not only did you have an incestuous relationship with your big sister and little sister, but you also did it with your biological mother!”

”So what? Didn’t I become like this because of you?” Zhang Fei then pointed to Zhang He and Chen Xin behind Zhang Hai. ”In the past, I had no relationship with Big Sis Yue at all, but your stupidity made you unable to see the truth, and you listened to your idiot son and traitorous daughter-in-law instead. Since you abandoned me, and I became a demon, I decided to enjoy my life as one by taking them as my wife. Moreover, you were just an idiot and a pathetic guy, and Qing Yi was much happier with me than with you. By the way, you don’t belong here, so get lost now.”

After Zhang Fei said that, Zhang Hai disappeared by himself. He then looked at Zhang He, who stared at him hatefully. ”Hey! What are you looking at, my dear brother? Do you still remember how I fucked your wife to death?”

”You bastard!” Zhang He charged towards him, but Zhang Fei simply dodged to the side, causing him to stumble. ”I will kill you!”

”I killed you in the past, remember? I don’t know how you ended up here, but a dead man like you should go back to hell, especially since that place is much more suitable for you.” Zhang Fei immediately beat Zhang He, causing him to disappear. ”Hmm? Could this be a test for me? Who tested me in this way?”

”Zhang Fei.” Zhang Fei turned to Chen Xin and Fu Min, who were walking towards him with their clothes off. ”Do you miss our bodies?”

”Get lost!” Zhang Fei shouted as he attacked them directly, causing Chen Xin and Fu Min to fall backwards. ”Do you two think you can seduce me with your bodies? There are so many women far better than whores like you two by my side, so I don’t need you guys.”

Zhang Fei then turned to the men who seemed impatient to kill him. ”Hahaha! If you all think I’m afraid of you, you guys can attack me together now. Back then, I killed all of you, and I never held any regrets over your deaths.”

Hearing that, those people immediately attacked Zhang Fei in unison, but he was no longer the old him, and their sheer numbers were no problem for him. For quite some time, he fought against them all, causing them to disappear one by one. Since it wasn’t his body, he didn’t feel the slightest tiredness fighting them, and he enjoyed himself in killing them once again.

Once those people disappeared, Zhang Fei was suddenly transported to another area where several others were waiting for him. He naturally recognized himself, but it was clearly not him. He then looked at the others, two of whom were the evil soul of the ten-tailed fox and Long Zhaihuo.

Zhang Fei was more curious about the man standing behind them, especially since he was certain he had never met him before. However, the man’s demon-like appearance made him realize something, and he asked them directly. ”Were you the one who brought me here, the previous owner of the cursed demon heart?”

”Hahaha.” The man let out an eerie laugh as he moved in front of Zhang Fei, causing him to subconsciously take a few steps back. ”Are you afraid of me, little brat? Back then, Long Wuzhao killed me and wanted to destroy my heart, and I thought I was going to die at that time. Unexpectedly, someone snatched my heart from him, which saved me from death. I don’t know how my heart got in my body, but my heart has already devoured your human heart, and I will take over your body as soon as my heart awakens from its long sleep.”

”Do I look like I’m afraid of you?” Zhang Fei shook his head in response. ”I’ve met someone far more terrifying than you before, and you’re not as strong as you think because you’re not your complete soul but a strand of it, right?”

The male demon punched him directly, but Zhang Fei swiftly caught his fist and struck back, forcing him to stagger backwards. ”I admit your cursed demon heart is terrifying, but I will never let it take over my body. I don’t know where this place is, but I believe we are both still in my body. Therefore, I will suppress your heart, take it over, and devour your soul.”
