Originally, Dark Song ranked fourth among Song Shuhang’s many clones and manifestations.

However, now that the clone previously known as Song Two had vanished.

Dark Song was promoted to the official ruler of the Netherworld, and in accordance with tradition, he ascended to a rank equivalent to Senior White Two, the striped dragon Two, and the three-eyed Two!

This was the rise to a higher position.

After the rebirth ceremony ended, Dark Song concealed his aura.

Just like Father Goudan at this moment, he could leave the Netherworld Realm at any time and go to the main world… However, once he left the Netherworld Realm, his existence would be severed from it, and he would be unable to return to the Netherworld in a short period.

Then, like Father Goudan, he would rely on the strength of others to penetrate the Netherworld with a strand of consciousness and return home to have a look.

Therefore, Dark Song was not in a hurry to move out of the ‘Netherworld Realm’—after all, whether it was the Heavenly Dao or the Netherworld Realm, both were on his side.

Heavenly Dao would not target him, and Senior White from the Netherworld certainly wouldn’t deal with him either.

He did not need to hide in the main world as Father Goudan did.

After concealing his aura, Dark Song looked at the fat ball, who was weak and in a deep slumber on the ground.

The fat ball was now extremely weak!

But it also turned misfortune into a blessing… As Dark Song was reborn by Fairy Cheng Lin, its connection with the Heavenly Dao was also severed.

Subsequently, even if Daoist Senior stepped down from the ‘Heavenly Dao seat’, this remaining part of the fat ball would not dissipate due to the collapse of the Heavenly Dao.

It’s just that because it had lost nine-tenths of its ‘existence’ to the ‘Sage’s talent,’ the fat ball was now in a long slumber and would probably struggle to recover for thousands or tens of thousands of years—it didn’t want to sleep; it had wanted to grit its teeth and hold on until it escaped danger and infiltrated a safe place to hide and recover.

But it was too weak… Not only was nine-tenths of its ‘existence’ taken away, but even its physical body was largely excised by Daozi, taken away to be purified, and prepared to create more ‘Song fat ball cloaks’ raw materials for Song Shuhang.

Thus, although the will of the fat ball was strong, its body was weak. Ultimately, it could not hold out and, just before the moment of victory, fell unwillingly into a long slumber.

“Senior Brother Daozi, what do you plan to do with the remaining part of the fat ball?” Dark Song asked aloud.

The manifested Heavenly Dao Will responded, “I promised it that as long as it cooperated voluntarily, I would not seal it again, nor would I restrict its freedom, letting it continue to live. Since it has done so… I will not break my promise.”

A gentleman’s agreement is heavier than a mountain.

“However, I did not expect that Fairy Cheng Goudan’s method of rebirth would sever the connection between the Heavenly Dao and it. The methods of the former Heavenly Dao Goudan’s father are truly powerful.” The Heavenly Dao Will expressed admiration.

“You flatter me,” Father Goudan humbly said.

Although Heavenly Dao Father Goudan might have tricked its ‘Companion Magic Device,’ it was undeniable that the individual’s methods were indeed powerful and worthy of being its corresponding Heavenly Dao.

“I originally thought that after I left my position, it would naturally collapse, so I promised that it could linger for a while longer. Now… well, let’s cleanse it!” The Heavenly Dao Will spoke.

“Cleanse it?” Dark Song looked at the dark fat ball and imagined a white version of the fat ball.

Well…

A white ball doesn’t seem as attractive as a black ball?

Moreover, white is fattening.

Seeing how corpulent the fat ball already seemed, would it give off the impression of being too fat if it turned white?

“How do we whitewash this?” the three-eyed young senior asked aloud.

“Just erase the past,” the Will of the Heavenly Axiom flexed its fist, “While I was loading the knowledge base of the Heavenly Dao just now, I discovered that the previous Heavenly Daos had some permission-related development projects, similar to mini programs, that could be activated with a click. Among them, there’s the authority to manually change ‘a portion of the ruler of the Netherworld’s memories.’ Looks like it will come in handy!”

This was a new Heavenly Dao’s function he had just stumbled upon, so he brought it out to show off.

The words of Daozi Senior had barely settled when the faces of several rulers of the Netherworld present became complicated.

Senior White Two’s projected clone, the Three-Eyed Sovereign, and Father Goudan involuntarily rubbed their temples with their hands or dragon mustaches.

Indeed, not a single Heavenly Dao was a benevolent one.

“Which Heavenly Dao came up with this cruel authority to manually adjust memories?” Senior White Two asked through gritted teeth.

This unreliable authority always felt like the handiwork of Heavenly Dao White—he noticed that there were clear gaps in his memories. For instance, during the time when the Heavenly Dao was about to step down, he had no idea how he managed to survive, nor did he know what Wielder of the Will White had done to him.

“Was it the doing of the Heavenly Dao of the Three-Eyed one’s reign? Such low acts seem most likely to have been done by the Three-Eyed Heavenly Dao,” Father Goudan said, accusingly.

But there was a guilty tone in his accusations—as far as research and development went, wasn’t it his corresponding Heavenly Dao, the Heavenly Dao Father Goudan who excelled at this?

When the three-eyed young senior was accused by Father Goudan, he also remained silent—since he didn’t even have the confidence to rebut.

Song Dark looked at the three ruling seniors.

It’s so hard to be the ruler of the Netherworld!

“It’s unclear which Heavenly Dao created it; these inheritable permission tricks accumulated over generations of Heavenly Daos. Whether it’s the Second Wielder of the Will who first had rulership over the Netherworld Realm, or the spherical Heavenly Dao, both could be possible,” Daozi Senior said.

Having said that, he unclenched his fist and gave several punches to the already weakened fat ball.

“Are you telling me it’s necessary to punch to alter memories?” the look on Senior White Two’s face grew more complex—had I been beaten like this by Heavenly Dao White too?

“No, I was just trying out the feel,” the Will of Daozi waved its hand, “In actuality, the physical contact between the Heavenly Dao’s main body and the ruler of the Netherworld is all that’s required.”

While he spoke, the Will of Daozi’s palm solidified, transferring over the ‘eternal’ Heavenly Dao’s palm, placing it on the fat ball.

Instantly, the fat ball’s memories turned into numerous files that floated up before Daozi’s eyes.

“First… erase all memories regarding the struggle for the Heavenly Dao seat. Hmm, better make a copy to keep as a memento for Confucianism,” he mused.

“Next, all memories related to Confucianism are to be cleared as well. As for the memory gaps that appear, they’re a bit tricky to fill in. I’ll have to write the plot to fill them… Ah forget it, I’m too lazy to do that, let’s just delete in big chunks. Soulmate, lost a part is soumate; lose a big chunk is also soulmate.”

Daozi made a sweeping gesture, erasing large sections of the fat ball’s memories.

Behind him, the three former rulers of the Netherworld’s hearts trembled—they could almost see themselves in the same position as the fat ball, stealthily approached by the shady Heavenly Dao during their slumber, who then with a wave of its hand, randomly altered their memories.

“Now, the next set of memories are of the rivalry and wit clashes with Lord White; do we change this section?” Daozi Senior considerately inquired.

“No need, no need,” Senior White Two’s projected clone slightly smiled, adding, “Although the fat ball often troubles me, its memories are more entertaining kept intact.”
