Between the first ruler of the Netherworld and itself, there shouldn’t be too direct a connection, right?

And moreover…

Why is it that when other rulers of the Netherworld were born, they had something like a ‘Companion Magic Device,’ but it didn’t!

When it was born, aside from this ball of itself, it had nothing.

[Maybe even that Netherly White guy has a Companion Magic Device or some other treasure.]

[Sure enough, was my Companion Magic Device messed up by the Heavenly Dao?]

[Stupid Heavenly Dao liquefied metal ball.]

The resentment in fat ball’s heart toward the Heavenly Dao liquefied metal ball grew even more intense.

If this goes on, its grudge against the liquefied metal ball will sooner or later surpass that towards Song Shuhang, Netherly White, and the Sage of Confucianism.

“I feel a very intimate connection with this magical treasure… Tyrannical Song, do you know something?” the fat ball hurriedly continued to ask.

“Your turn for questions is over, now it’s my turn to ask you,” Tyrant Kindness said as he waved his hand.

The fat ball sighed inwardly, its grudge value against Tyrannical Song +1.

“Go ahead and ask,” said the fat ball.

Tyrant Kindness asked, “Fat ball, do you have any recollection of the Black Dragon World?”

“No, now it’s your turn to answer me,” the fat ball said urgently.

Tyrant Kindness said, “If your answer is ‘no’, then there might not be any connection between you and Senior Companion Magic Device.”

Fat ball: “???”

“Let me explain properly,” Tyrant Kindness said as he sat cross-legged beside the seal—he was ultimately a kindhearted manifestation, always willing to resolve others’ doubts.

“The primary material for Senior Companion Magic Device came from the Heavenly Dao corresponding to the first ruler of the Netherworld, brought back from the ‘Ancient Nether primordial chaos will’ of the Black Dragon World. After researching the material brought from the Ancient Nether, the Heavenly Dao eventually concocted the ‘ruler of the Netherworld,’ perfected the setting, and incorporated it into the laws of the Heavenly Dao,” Tyrant Kindness explained slowly. “I was originally speculating whether you, fat ball, had any connection with the ‘Ancient Nether primordial chaos will material,’ but it turns out you have no memory of it whatsoever.”

Leaping up, the fat ball exclaimed, “Why would you think that? Why would I have any connection to the Ancient Nether primordial chaos will material? Do you really know something?”

If not for the Heavenly Dao Seal, it would have certainly unleashed a thousand-ton fall to suppress Tyrannical Song’s manifestation and extract everything it wanted to know—As for reading memories directly, it would never use that method again.

Within Tyrannical Song’s memories were pits everywhere, mines everywhere; one careless move could lead to reading forbidden content and suffer a retaliatory injury.

“Don’t rush, Senior Fat Ball… now it’s my turn,” Tyrant Kindness motioned with his hand, then pulled out a little notebook and asked, “Question: Fat ball, how should your body be cut so that it won’t fuse back together in a short time?”

Fat ball: “…”

Is this a question that a person should ask?

Why don’t you go and ask a pig how it should be slaughtered so that it tastes better?

Seeing that fat ball did not respond for a long time, Tyrant Kindness looked up at the big boss, “Should we end the Q&A session?”

“You can change the question,” said the fat ball.

Tyrant Kindness flipped through the notebook and asked another question: “Then, fat ball, how should your body be cut so that the connection between the cut part and your main body is severed?”

As a reliable manifestation, he needed to conduct some investigations in advance for the major project of ‘fusing with Dark Song.’

Fat ball: “…”

“Actually, the following questions are all somewhat similar,” Tyrant Kindness closed his little notebook and said to the fat ball, “Shall we continue?”

In fact, the plan to fuse with fat ball was an opportunity for the fat ball itself.

You see, there was a deep-seated hatred between Daozi of the Heavenly Dao and the fat ball.

The resentment accumulated by Confucianism for tens of thousands of years couldn’t be explained in a few words.

If it weren’t for the fat ball’s value in use… Daozi would have long since killed and scattered the fat ball’s ashes.

However, the ‘Dark Song modification project’ actually provided an opportunity for the fat ball to be preserved.

To modify Dark Song, there was no need to fuse with the entire ball, just a large part of it, just enough to perfect the ‘Netherworld Body’ Attributes.

With the liquid metal body attribute of the fat ball, as long as a part of it still existed, it wouldn’t perish but at most shrink in size.

This point was even clear in the fat ball’s own heart.

It began to contemplate.

At this time.

While Tyrant Kindness and the fat ball were in communication, Daoist Senior’s intent swept across them.

This was Daoist intent coming to check in.

Daozi had long noticed the fat ball attempting to break the seal and, to prevent the fat ball from truly breaking free, Daozi’s intent would sweep over periodically to… reinforce the seal and obstruct any chance the fat ball had of escaping.

This time, Daozi’s intent had just happened to see Tyrannical Song and the fat ball confronting each other.

By accessing the ‘recording’ feature of the seal, Daozi quickly came to understand the cause and effect of the situation.

After pondering for a moment, Daozi made a decision in his heart.

—In the plan to transform Dark Song, if the fat ball was willing to cooperate actively, it would save a lot of trouble.

Thus, the voice of Daozi’s intent rang out to the fat ball, “If you’re willing to actively cooperate with us during the ‘Tyrannical Song Netherworld ruler plan’, when the plan ends, I can let go of the part of your body that remains!”

“Senior Brother Daozi, greetings.” Tyrant Kindness stood up from the ground.

“I was just passing by to check in and happened to hear your conversation with the ruler of the fat ball,” said Daozi’s intent. While speaking, two more layers of reinforcement were added to the fat ball’s seal.

Fat ball: “…”

Curse you, Netherly White, the seal is strengthened again.

“What’s your answer, ruler of the fat ball?” Daozi’s intent spoke again.

After all, once he collapsed from the ‘Heavenly Dao seat’, the fat ball ruler, as the corresponding ‘Netherworld Body,’ would also collapse.

So before that, if it could maximize its benefits, that would be best.

“You really know how to calculate, Confucian Daozi,” said the fat ball with a cold voice.

Actually asking itself to actively cooperate and sacrifice its body to complete Dark Song.

This proposal was simply a bane to its heart.

But…

“But you can survive, you can continue to exist,” Daozi’s intent said emotionlessly.

Fat ball: “…”

To survive.

Such humble and bitter three words.

“I want to survive,” said the fat ball.

No matter what state… it would choose to survive.

This had become its obsession.

“Deal,” voiced Daozi’s intent.

Once a covenant with Daozi was established, it was witnessed by the Heavens, leaving no chance for regret.

The contract was formed.

Daozi then glanced at the fat ball within the seal.

Seeing the fat ball’s frustrated appearance at this time, Daozi’s thoughts became unobstructed; the thoughts turned into eight lanes, with no more congestion!

‘Sometimes, living can be more painful than dying.’

By settling the grudge between the fat ball and Confucianism in this manner, surely the disciples who sacrificed themselves over tens of thousands of years would be satisfied, right?
