Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!

Cecilia Vaughn was lifted up by Adrian Law, her face flushing a light shade of red.

”It’s okay, put me down. I can check in the bathroom myself.”

”Be good, listen to me...”

The man frowned, giving her a glance, seeing the girl’s slightly pale complexion, his heart flooded with deep affection.

Before meeting Cecilia, Adrian never knew that a girl’s period could be so uncomfortable.

Because Adrian’s mother Susan Roswell and his sister Nancy Law seemed to be quite normal in this regard.

...

Adrian directly carried Cecilia to the washroom.

Seeing Adrian not yet leaving, Cecilia’s face turned even redder.

”Go out, or how can I check...”

Adrian felt helpless inside.

Understanding his young wife’s thin-skinned nature, he stepped back, then silently closed the washroom door.

—Wondering if Cecilia will have cramps this time.

Cecilia’s irregular period was addressed by a professional traditional medicine practitioner. Zion Prescott first consulted, but he wasn’t an expert in this field, so later he introduced them to an experienced doctor.

The doctor said Cecilia developed her ailment during her early incarceration and needed proper nourishment.

The trouble was that Cecilia didn’t like the bitter traditional medicine. Sometimes she drank it, sometimes she forgot, leading to the condition not showing significant improvement.

...

Her period is still irregular. It’s a blessing if it happens monthly; it might even come once in two months.

Adrian is even more concerned than Cecilia herself, having researched a lot. He’s not particularly fixated on having children, preferring to take time to adjust, but if Cecilia’s old ailment leads to lingering problems, that’s distressing.

”Cecilia, are you alright?”

The man’s handsome face is covered with undisguised worry. He softly knocked on the washroom door, attempting to get an answer.

”Wait a little longer...”

Cecilia held her cramping stomach, finally tidying herself, then changed into new clothes, and eventually stumbled out.

”Adrian... It’s really that time, ugh, why do girls have to experience this pain? It’d be nice if it never came again.”

Adrian lightly tapped Cecilia’s head symbolically.

”What nonsense are you thinking about? If the period never comes, the problem would be even bigger.”

”But it hurts so much...”

Cecilia’s eyes are filled with misty light, lowering her gaze at the man, making Adrian extremely reluctant.

”Cecilia, wrap yourself in a blanket and rest for a while. I’ll make you some ginger tea with brown sugar.”

”Okay.”

Cecilia nodded.

She obediently sat on the plush blanket.

Adrian, fearing she might feel cold, further increased the temperature of the central heating by two degrees.

”No need to raise the temperature, if the air conditioning goes any higher, I’ll become steamed bun.”

”No, you won’t.”

Adrian shook his head, examining Cecilia’s pale face, the sympathy in his heart growing stronger.

”Just wait here for me, I’ll be right back.”

”Alright, alright, I know, I’m not a child.”

Cecilia stuck her tongue out at Adrian, the intense pain eased somewhat because of the worry etched between his brows.

Perhaps, loving the right person, the feeling becomes exceptionally sweet.

The pain could be shared by him, while moments of happiness will be doubly joyful because of his presence.

...

No need to envy lovebirds, nor envy the immortals.

Cecilia silently recited this line, her heart growing ever sweeter, but the sharp pain in her stomach surpassing now and then left her helpless.

”Oh dear...”

Cecilia rubbed her abdomen, trying to alleviate the pain, she stared eagerly at the bedroom door, waiting for Adrian’s return.

Fortunately, he didn’t keep her waiting long.

”Cecilia, be careful, it’s hot.”

Adrian returned with a cup painted with water-red designs, he thought about it, still not confident in Cecilia drinking directly, hence he fetched a spoon, and softly blew on it.

”Hoo...”

”I’m not that delicate, just give me the spoon, I can drink by myself.”

Cecilia watched Adrian blowing on the ginger tea, her heart growing warmer, though her lower abdomen throbbed continuously, but seeing the man’s beautiful and noble brows, her worries seemed to vanish.

”Your discomfort, I’ll feed you.”

Adrian insisted, and Cecilia couldn’t refuse further.

...

Sometimes, truly marrying Adrian felt like being pampered as a daughter.

No, not even Gregory Vaughn ever cared for her so attentively.

Cecilia didn’t know what she suddenly recalled, but she broke into a smile.

”Adrian, I feel like you’re my grandfather.”

”...”

Adrian sighed helplessly, but the smile in his eyes remained undiminished.

”When did I suddenly become so many generations older than you?”

”Oh, I was just drawing an analogy. Among men, only my grandfather treated me like a child.”

The girl’s boundless talk caused Adrian a mental blank.

To be honest, Adrian respected Cecilia’s grandfather but didn’t wish to become such a man.

After all, her grandfather separated from Joan Sinclair, though both felt deeply for each other, due to small conflicts, they spread apart in the end.

When returning to Veridia City before, Adrian saw Cecilia’s grandmother Joan Sinclair, he couldn’t help but sigh, since both have feelings, why separat?

Life is only a few decades, he just wished to stay by the girl before morning and night, never to be apart.

...

After feeding her the tea, Cecilia’s stomach finally felt warm, she felt much better.

Adrian placed down the porcelain bowl, his hand covering Cecilia’s slightly cool palm.

”Cecilia, I feel this isn’t a solution, how about we go back to the old doctor that Zion introduced to check again?”

”...”

Cecilia wore a worried expression looking at him.

”No... You know too well how awful his prescribed medicine tastes.”

”No pampering like a child.”

Adrian lightly tapped Cecilia’s head again.

The touch was gentle, only a slight reprimand, yet Cecilia hung her face pitifully, acting fussy.

”Where am I pampered? Mr. Law, you said I wouldn’t cry in pain when hurt, being a tough girl hero.”

”...”

Adrian was speechless.

”That... maybe before I knew you?”

”...”

Seems like after they married, especially when they opened up to one another, Cecilia had become increasingly carefree in his presence, like a little girl refusing to grow up.
