Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan

Chapter 2195 - 1567: Test_2

During the process of recording Spiritual Objects, Li Zhirui picked up those he could use. Some could be used for Alchemy, some could enhance his Life-bound Magic Treasure, and some aided in Cultivation. It can be said his considerations were comprehensive.

”Tongtian Sect’s foundation is truly astonishing!” He couldn’t help but exclaim, even though this was the Tongtian Sect after encountering a great calamity.

Wansheng, however, shook his head and said, ”Sect Leader may not know, the Spiritual Objects stored in the treasure house now are less than one-tenth of their peak period.”

How did such a mighty Tongtian Sect actually meet its downfall?

Could it have been annihilated by other Golden Immortal forces of the Tao Spirit Realm joining hands?

A trace of doubt flashed through Li Zhirui’s mind, but he did not delve into it further; some things will be known even if not questioned.

”Sect Leader, please follow me! There is another Inner Treasure Vault to see, all the Spiritual Objects inside are invaluable Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures,” Wansheng said.

”Then let’s go.”

Having seen all there was to see, there was no need to waste more time.

Compared to the Outer Treasure Vault, the Inner Treasure Vault was guarded by a very formidable Restriction, which could only be opened by Li Zhirui with the Sect Leader Jade Seal; if someone intruded, the Restriction would seal them.

Upon entering, despite being psychologically prepared, he was still astonished by the Spiritual Objects in the Inner Treasure Vault.

Although the number was much less, seemingly not exceeding a hundred items, each of the Spiritual Objects was of exceptionally high Grade, with the lowest being rare Spiritual Objects of the Profound Immortal Rank!

The most precious ones were beyond Golden Immortal level Spiritual Objects, their Grade likely reaching the Taiyi Tier, two major Realms higher than Li Zhirui.

What excited him the most was among the five Taiyi Tier Spiritual Objects; there was one closely related to the Purification Principle!

So he unhesitatingly took it down and pocketed it.

This Spiritual Object looked like white jade, but even the treasure house had no record of its name, so it was even less likely for him to know.

He only knew that whether comprehending the Spiritual Object now or refining it later, it would greatly aid Li Zhirui’s Realm and Cultivation.

He registered these Spiritual Objects as well, but except for the white jade, he didn’t take any others.

Because if he were to use the remaining treasures indiscriminately, with his current Realm, it might lead to waste.

After resealing the two treasure houses and closing the doors, Li Zhirui walked around the relics to gain a more comprehensive understanding and awareness of this area.

”Sect Leader, what you should do next is to rebuild Tongtian Sect, then open the Mountain Gate and recruit disciples, right?” Wansheng mentioned this again, which seemed more urgent for some reason.

”The first thing to do should be to choose a good location for the Mountain Gate!” Everything has to be done step by step.

Moreover, the Mountain Gate is extremely important for a power—if chosen well, it will significantly promote the Sect’s development, but if not, it might result in twice the effort for half the effect.

Therefore, the choice of the Mountain Gate must not be done carelessly!

In an area like where they currently were, in this desolate wilderness, rebuilding the Mountain Gate here was naturally impossible.

”You are right, Sect Leader. I was too anxious.” Wansheng didn’t argue but directly admitted his mistake.

”Let’s just casually walk around and have a look.”

Neither of them was very familiar with the Tao Spirit Realm, so they could only slowly search.

However, the Cultivation level of the Tao Spirit Realm was quite advanced. Not to mention a superior Spirit Land, even an average Spirit Land was most probably not a Land Without Master.

So Li Zhirui mainly focused on slightly lesser Spirit Lands, and judged by the overall terrain and surroundings rather than the concentration of Spiritual Energy.

After some searching, the two finally determined the location of the Mountain Gate.

It was situated on the western edge of the human race territory, but there was still some distance from the border, so there was no need to worry too much about a large-scale Devil Beast attack.

But what made them both resolute and fully committed to the location of the Mountain Gate.

It was the tallest Spirit Mountain within a thousand miles radius. Although Spiritual Energy was quite thin, the mountain was large and flat, offering ample space for various buildings and disciples in the future.

”This mountain will be called Ascension Mountain from now on.”

Saying so, Li Zhirui found a huge stone, and with a flourish, wrote the two grand and resonant words ’Ascension’ full of Dao Rhyme.

Next came the continuation of inheritance, which is extremely important for any power—in other words, recruiting disciples!

However, on this issue, Li Zhirui and Wansheng’s views conflicted.

He hoped to adopt a strategy of excellence over quantity, recruiting fewer disciples and taking an elite path. This decision wasn’t made on a whim.

Because currently, besides himself, there’s only Wansheng’s remnant soul to teach disciples Cultivation.

In this situation, if too many disciples are recruited, the two of them wouldn’t be able to manage and wouldn’t be able to take care of all the disciples.

While Wansheng believed in teaching without discrimination, not caring about aptitude or status, as long as they could pass the tests of character and Dao Heart, they should be accepted as disciples, not worrying whether there were many or few; in fact, the more people, the better.

But ultimately, the arm couldn’t outmatch the thigh, so Wansheng chose to yield and adopt Li Zhirui’s proposal.

After all, no matter what, he was the Sect Leader!

After deciding on the disciple recruitment strategy, Li Zhirui went to the surrounding Mortal World. The purpose was simple: to publicize the matter and let more mortals know about it.

Wherever he went, the response was intense; those mortals were very welcoming and eager for their offspring to join the Tongtian Sect.

He sharply sensed something was amiss. Why were those mortals reacting in such a way? Moreover, they weren’t suspicious of his identity at all, which was indeed a bit strange.

But gathering intelligence in the Mortal World and finding answers was much simpler; a sweep of Divine Sense could generally shed light on the situation.

It turned out that not far away, a nest of Devil Beasts had come into being, frequently plundering mortals, causing them great trouble, so they were eager for their descendants to join a Sect.

Unfortunately, because the area was remote and Spiritual Energy sparse, it’s hard to produce mortals with extraordinary aptitude, so distant Immortal Dao powers were reluctant to make the trip just to recruit a few mediocre disciples.

So over the years, they have constantly been troubled by Devil Beasts.

Upon knowing this, Li Zhirui flew over and easily dealt with those Devil Beasts in one move.

Those bat monsters, roughly the size of calves, had no power to resist when facing him and were subdued and repressed directly.

Bringing the corpses of these Devil Beasts to the Mortal World immediately triggered waves of cheering, followed by everyone expressing gratitude.

”Thank you, Immortal Master! Thank you, Immortal Master!”

Due to this event, they became even more attentive to the upcoming disciple recruitment, believing it to be a kind Sect. Even if their descendants didn’t achieve great feats, at least they would become Cultivators!

Seeing the situation, Li Zhirui seized the opportunity to change his mind and decided to test children’s Spiritual Root aptitude now.

He would stay here for three days, after which he would leave and head to the next mortal region.

The crowd of mortals surrounding him instantly dispersed, eager to bring their eligible children at the first moment.

Soon, a long queue formed in front of Li Zhirui.

”May I ask, Immortal Master, my child is just one month shy of turning six; would he meet the requirements?” a mortal among the crowd boldly asked for his child’s sake.

”No, the child must be six years old for their Spiritual Root to manifest. But roughly around this time next year, I will visit again, and you can bring him for testing then.”
