The Strongest Urban Son-in-law

Chapter 65: Chapter 63 Embarrassing Evening

Lin Zhen chuckled, ”Don’t worry, it’s nothing serious. It’s just that tomorrow is Shiyu’s grandfather’s sixty-fifth birthday, and there will be a birthday party. You should go with Shiyu and Jian Guo to wish him well.”

”Shiyu’s grandfather?” Ye Feng thought for a moment. Figuring that the reparations from Shouzhong to Dragon Country probably wouldn’t arrive by tomorrow and that he had nothing else to do—and considering it was Sir Lin Zhen’s request—he agreed, ”Alright, I’ll go!”

”Hmm, the flight is at nine thirty tomorrow morning. You guys should head out early, leave at seven, just in case there’s traffic and you miss the flight,” Lin Zhen said.

”Hmm, then I’m going to sleep...” With that, Ye Feng headed upstairs, taking a glance at Lin Shiyu on his way.

This left Ye Feng feeling puzzled. Today, when Lin Shiyu saw him return, she didn’t say a word and her expression seemed a bit strange.

Ye Feng didn’t ask further and headed to his own room, but as he arrived, he was stunned.

After being away for a day, he returned to find his room completely transformed!

Where his room used to be, now there was a study, furnished with two bookshelves and a desk.

And Ye Feng’s bed was nowhere to be seen. He immediately turned around and walked back to the living room.

Now Ye Feng finally understood why Lin Shiyu’s expression was a bit odd.

Ye Feng looked at Lin Shiyu and asked coldly, ”What’s happened to my room?”

Sir Lin Zhen coughed and said, ”Ahem~~~ Ye Feng, don’t be angry. This has nothing to do with Shiyu. I’ve always felt the need for a study, so I took the liberty of turning your room into one. You wouldn’t deny me this small wish, would you?”

At that moment, Sir Lin Zhen looked so pitiful, it was hard for Ye Feng to bear getting angry.

”I mean, that’s fine, but where am I supposed to sleep tonight?” Ye Feng asked helplessly.

”What kind of question is that? You and Shiyu are married, and you’ve been married for almost a week. Of course, you should live together. I’ve already talked to Shiyu about it. You two should sleep together tonight, and from now on, you’ll be together!” Lin Zhen said.

Ye Feng’s face showed reluctance, ”But...”

”But what? I, a woman, haven’t said anything, and you, a big man, are acting all coy. Aren’t you embarrassed?” Lin Shiyu looked at Ye Feng and said coldly.

”Okay then...” Ye Feng replied, his face turning red.

Both Lin Shiyu and Sir Lin Zhen were a bit surprised by this; they had not expected Ye Feng to show shyness.

If the warriors from the Southern Border were to see Ye Feng’s shy demeanor now, their jaws would probably drop in shock.

”Hehe, it’s getting late. You two go to sleep; I’ll go to bed after you do,” Sir Lin Zhen said.

”Uh-huh...” Ye Feng and Lin Shiyu nodded.

At this moment, Ye Feng’s movements seemed a bit stiff. If it were about going into battle to protect his country, Ye Feng would be uncompromising, but now, the prospect of sleeping with a woman made him somewhat uncomfortable.

Currently, Ye Feng didn’t actually dislike Lin Shiyu. Shiyu was a woman who appeared cold on the outside but warm on the inside, looking aloof but actually harboring a passionate heart, meticulous in her dealings with others.

After quickly freshening up, Ye Feng accompanied Lin Shiyu to her room. This was his first time entering Lin Shiyu’s room.

Lin Shiyu’s room looked no different from that of any other woman, and there was a faint scent of freshness within.

Ye Feng and Lin Shiyu turned around and got a fright.

”Grandpa, what are you doing?” Ye Feng and Lin Shiyu exclaimed at the same time.

At the doorway, they saw Sir Lin watching them with a cheerful grin and hurriedly said, ”Nothing, nothing, I just came over to see if you guys had gone to sleep yet...”

Lin Shiyu quickly shut the door and didn’t relax until she heard Sir Lin Zhen’s footsteps fade away.

But Ye Feng quickly regained his composure.

Looking calmly at Lin Shiyu, he asked, ”Can you make a bed on the floor for me? I’ll sleep on the ground...”

Lin Shiyu shook her head, ”Wishful thinking. Grandpa had already thought of that and taken away all the blankets. Where would we get a bed for you to make?”

”Then, I’ll sleep on the chair...” As he said this, Ye Feng sat down on the chair.

Lin Shiyu was startled. ”Can you really sleep on the chair?”

”I can. Back in the Southern Border, I could even sleep standing up. The conditions were much harder than this. Compared to that situation, this is already paradise...” Ye Feng replied.

”Hmm!” Lin Shiyu nodded in acknowledgment, feeling respect for him. The once timid boy had now become a man who stood tall and strong.

”That’s very kind of you!” Lin Shiyu said, looking at Ye Feng.

Ye Feng shook his head and didn’t reply.

”Knock, knock, knock~~” But just at that moment, someone knocked on Lin Shiyu’s door.

Startled, Lin Shiyu opened the door only to be frozen in surprise again. Sir Lin Zhen stood outside her door.

”Grandpa, why have you come back?” Lin Shiyu asked, surprised to see Sir Lin Zhen again.

Sir Lin Zhen asked with a cheery smile, ”May I come in for a moment?”

Lin Shiyu nodded. ”Grandpa, is something the matter?”

Sir Lin Zhen walked over to the chair, lifted it and said, ”I just happen to need a chair on my side. I’ll take this one for now. You won’t mind, right? Get some rest early!”

Without waiting for Ye Feng and Lin Shiyu’s consent, Sir Lin Zhen walked away with the chair, leaving them both speechless and astonished.

The older the ginger, the spicier it is – they hadn’t expected Sir Lin Zhen to make a move at this time.

Ye Feng searched for a while and soon found a bug the size of a little fingernail on the curtain rod of Lin Shiyu’s room.

”This must be it!” Ye Feng took down the listening device, then crushed it with ease, bursting it.

Lin Shiyu was utterly speechless, not expecting that Sir Lin Zhen, to make them sleep together, had secretly planted a listening device to eavesdrop on her conversation with Ye Feng.

Just then, Sir Lin Zhen’s voice came from outside the door again: ”You two rascals, don’t think you’re fine just because you took down my bug. Let me tell you, I’m watching you all the time. A husband and wife should do what a husband and wife do. Don’t play at being innocent, hear me!”

”Alright, Grandpa, can you go to sleep now? We have to visit my maternal grandfather’s house early tomorrow!” Lin Shiyu was at her wit’s end.

”Hmph! You figure it out yourselves!” After that, Sir Lin Zhen finally left.
